So I don't know if anyone has noticed yet, but I've been writing stories set in the same year for over a decade now.

And I'm gonna keep doing it. From the start, the time frame for Good Intentions has been "vaguely the present," and will remain so until I just can't get away with it anymore. Admittedly, the US withdrawal from Afghanistan probably nails down a latest-possible-timeframe more than anything else. (I had plenty of thoughts about that, but honestly given the gravity and significance of that moment, I felt like my urban fantasy continuity ideas weren't really worth anyone's bandwidth.) Also we've seen several references to Alex & co. being Millennials when I feel like they work fairly as Gen Z, and there are other points of reference... But fiction and the suspension of disbelief from magic & such means that maybe I can smudge up the real-world timeline just a little more.

ANYWAY! The timeline below includes links to all the Patreon stories. Just about half of these stories lean heavily into the sexytimes, and sometimes the sexy stuff IS the plot. I have marked them with an (S) for easy reference. By and large, I see all the sexytimes as a feature of this Patreon rather than a bug; sexytimes are a major theme to Good Intentions, but they don't always fit in plot or pacing, hence their place in these short stories. I'll admit I was surprised at how many stories get the tag. Then again, the other stories tend to be significantly longer, so maybe that accounts for my perception.

This month's story is Good Intentions, and it's gonna be a couple-few more days yet 'cause it's a big one. I'm looking at 12k words with a couple more scenes to go. This story is sort of a heist, with some action and comedy and a dash of sexy fun. Given the length, I'm tempted to break it into two installments like with that Tanner story not long ago... but I really want to deliver this in one go, so maybe I'll just give myself permission to make next month's story a little shorter.

Or not. :)

Take care out there!

Timeline consistency. Fun and current real-world references. Advancing time. Pick any two, you can't have three… For what it's worth, I had pegged Naked Justice to have happened in late June rather than July, and that Date Night had happened before Skin, not the other way around.
