Some News About v36 (Patreon)

Hey there! It's been a while isn't it? (definitely didn't forget to post the v34-35 changelogs here hahaha...)

This post will be mostly about the now delayed v36, the features that will be included and an expected timeline on when v36 might see the light of day. I still don't have a lot of time to work on Vorecade and the such due to IRL things I need to attend and take care of, so I'll be asking for your understanding on this matter!

If you aren't in the Vorecade Discord server (shameless plug here), I've made a poll on whether to delay v36 to include all the features or not. The poll results were 83% Delay / 17% Don't Delay. So I've decided to delay v36 from the user feedback.

Let's take a look on what was remaining by the posting of the poll and what has yet to be done. (in writing of this post).

FileManager QoL Improvements (Work hasn't begun yet)

Playing Status on Profiles (Needs Work, Essentials Missing)

External Link Warnings (Nearly Done)

MMB to Open in new tab functionality (Nearly Done)

Tag Randomization Opt-Out (Nearly Done)

Tab Titles (Done)

DNS System Overhaul (Done)

Game Folder Name Autofix (Done)

Image System In-Memory Caching w Opt-out (Done)

As you can see, most features were thankfully done or were mostly by then but a significant and some labor heavy features were still in the works and some didn't even have a line of code written.

Were completed and some more additional features were added in:

Game sorting has been moved to the server side for better performance, reliability and consistency.

Popularity algorithm now favors games with more reviews and higher ratings.

Aside from those, about when v36 may release, I think if nothing happens IRL that requires my attention for a long period of time, I expect v36 to be done within May.
