Bitch I live in Tennessee and I had to pause this video because I started noticing colors in the sky and it was fucking auroras! There was something that happened with a corona mass ejection or some shit and I could see auroras in the American south this is crazy!!!! I wish I could show a picture holy shit. One of the nights I saw the show in New Jersey, my seat was to the side of the stage, basically next to the screen, so we couldn't see anything that happened close to screen, which included Tolerate It and TLGAD (and anything with the cabin), and there were people with seats even further behind the screen than ours. I think it's great that the TTPD set utilizes the entire stage and is so dynamic so everyone can see it basically the whole time! I have a feeling that was intentional.

I think I heard they were filming so I believe she will release a new version of the Eras movie. I think the Tshirt that said this is not Taylor’s version- well the movie was called Taylor’s version. So I think there will be another variation of the movie that includes TTPD.

My take on initially separating folklore and evermore sets is because they allowed a “rest” or “breather” set in between the high energy sets. Plus if she had combined them in the beginning it would be so long with a slower sound. The shorter versions combined are now perfect!

The TTPD visuals/concept just still hasn’t quite clicked for me and I wish I could fathom it. I love the covers and the photoshoot, it’s so moody and intimate, but then I don’t know how that really works in with the rest of everything because that’s the only time we’ve seen that vibe. I also get the highway imagery from Fortnight and the mentions on the album, but I don’t really see that at all with BDILH or the original shoot. Then obviously the old Hollywood for Clara Bow in ICDIWABH, but how does that really work in with the cover and highway imagery. It’s just all not connecting for me right now and I SO badly want to get it. I hope some more visuals from a few more MV’s help it feel more cohesive for me.

The mirror on the moving lift is an old theater trick--not only does it reflect the stage graphics without having to put screens all over it, but at the right angle it's meant to create the illusion that she's actually floating. In this case it's not meant to be perfect, just give an overall sense, but it's still unbelievably cool.

I 10000% agree, it’s upsetting to say goodbye to the individual eras for folklore and evermore. BUT TTPD is sooo theatrical and I totally understand the choice Taylor had to make. I also understand what you both say about the songs for the fans, bc long live has a much larger impact for long time fans than other songs on the setlist like WANGBT. I think the visuals on TTPD are SUPERIOR!! So it’s all worth it! Thank you both for being such positive lights in this fandom. We love you!!!!!

I was just thinking about how if Taylor wanted to cut Long Live that meant she couldn’t ADD Castles Crumbling even if she wanted to because the narrative would be Long Live was REPLACED. And I think the uproar for that would have been worse. So it’s a smart decision not to have it on the setlist while Paramore is opening!

I feel the same. I missed Long Live too. My show was in Florida before she added it to the setlist. I almost got tickets to the upcoming Miami show to see Long Live, but now I'm kind of glad I didn't get them yet, because I would have missed it again. I wish she would have cut Marjorie, because it's such a sad song. I know it's special to TS because of her grandmother, but Long Live is much more of a crowd favorite. It's iconic.

I think the platform in WAOLOM is simply for visual effects reasons - the reflections help it make it look like she’s floating, this is a common trick used to try and make a platform almost ‘invisible’ when viewing it at different points in the stadium

I 100% agree that this is the superior version of the tour. I just wish she kept Long Live. I'm struggling to understand why she removed it, like it's ONE song that means so much to so many fans. And keeping it in wouldn't prolong the show THAT much, like I doubt it would be longer than the longest show from last year. But I'm glad we have the movie version at least.

All I think about is how upset she was with the fans while the Matty Healy stuff was going down and she had to keep singing long live and she probably felt it deep in her bones every single time. Not sure what to tell anybody that doesn't understand that. The part where they are dressing her on stage makes me think of how she would have felt last year, after the break-up(s), any time she was “off-stage”. So essentially, as she is doing an on-stage outfit change in Eras II Tour, she is showing us how she felt like a broken, lifeless doll anytime she wasn’t performing. As soon as she gets the microphone and is in the spotlight again, she is back in character “having the time of her life”. So clever!!

I think the conclusion I’ve come to is that the previous V1 of the tour is the more superior version as a whole, because it was so meticulously planned and it’s how it was intended to be. BUT the TTPD set (maybe other than Rep) is the most superior set. I just think as a whole now V2 feels very rushed and an amalgamation of how the concert was supposed to be. So in an ideal world, TTPD would have just been slotted in the concert with no other changes. That just isn’t realistic though, for Taylor or fans attending.

While I also love Long Live, and am sad it's cut, I feel that she probably cut it because back to back with Enchanted, they have similar energy, and it slows the pace of that section of the concert. I personally felt that a one song ERA was odd and was happy when she added it in. Plus, if she could do that, then why didn't Debut have at least one song. Why skip that entire ERA? Additional considerations for the cut of Long Live (to get back on topic) are that she can't really move more than her arms in that ballgown, and she pulls the band and backup singers to the stage for just Long Live, then send them back to their places is kinda weird. IDK, you were there in person, maybe it wasn't really.

I believe it's because the situation makes it impossible for her to change. The intro video has her in the body suit so she has to start with it (no other intro/transition has this problem), the design makes it impossible to do a quick change during the set, and there's nothing you could put over it that would make sense or look good. If she does change it for a rep tv announcement she'll have to change the intro video (which we now know she's willing to do).

I agree with the comment about the visual intro aspect, and also the fact that her dancers match her red Rep suit, but at the same time, I can also see that being a moot point, as we've seen her change up her stage projections for the dive when she's wearing different secret song dress colors, and we see all of her dancers change their ballet outfits to match whatever dress she wears during Enchanted. The only reason I could see the visuals being an issue is that because they appear before she does, they technically would spoil the outfit reveal. But her changing the video entirely is also very much a possibility, too. Ultimately, I think she knows just how demanding the fans are for Rep TV, and also the connotation and context in which the original album was released. I feel like she's treating the outfit like she treated the Rep-coded red herrings of the TTPD promotional rollout. She's going to be baiting and edging fans for a whiiiile until its time to actually announce Rep TV, because that means the excitement for when it finally does happen all the more intense. Especially because there's no way she *doesn't* know about the conversation and jokes fans have made in regards to Rep's singular tour outfit. No, she's just biding her time. And if we don't get a new outfit when she announces it? Then I think that's her leaning back into the "there will be no explanation, just Reputation" tease from the original release. There will be no premeditation, no outfit proclamation, just Reputation (Taylor's Version). And then afterwards, once we have the story and context, we get something new.
