Hello Besties, soooo as you know last week we discussed songs that have been rerecorded and maybe missed the mark a little, but this week we are talking about ours (and your's) absolute favourite rerecords!! We hope you enjoy this video ☺️❣️

Dawn

lol

Angie

we are getting fed today!!!

Katy Goodman

And now we get to enjoy all of them!!! Thank you both for everything you do! 😊💕

Carly

The timing of this … 🫶🏻✨

Kara Mills

Perfect timing again! Just got in to bed and was struggling with finding something to watch x

Brandon

Another video in less than 24 hours ?? FEDDD

Maggie

So excited for this video!

Kjersti

I was so impressed with the speed you guys had recorded this until I realised it was scheduled and timed well without even you knowing how well hahaha

alex

This has aged really well!😂 now we don’t have to decide anymore we can just choose!🥹🥹🥹

sara tarek

Omg we are being feddddd

Kiki

I'm literally in the middle of listening to every 1989 OG & TV track back to back to decide which ones I'll put in my playlists 🩵 it's so fucking hard 😭 I noticed that sometimes I prefer the OG production but the vocals on the TV are better (plus I actually like the TV cover more 👀)

Ran

This video run of “re-records that missed the mark” “Taylor owns everything” “Best re-records” Is insane and perfect considering these were pre-filmed😭

Rianne van Ladesteijn

The best way to celebrate this weekends news! - a chatty video appreciating the Taylor’s version’s for the magic they have given us ✨🤍 Can’t wait to watch this when I get home from work!

Ava Jeffs

a quick note before I dive into this superior video because I’ve had a day of fathoming the ✨reclaimed versions✨ while walking around New York today. There is just something about listening to her at the time she was living the feeling of these projects at the time they were written, and there is also something about listening to the way she has reimagined them. It is SO important that she has them back, and it was integral to prove the point that the Taylor’s version project was born and stood upon. She owned up to her word, just as WE never questioned she would, but the world still might have. It is making me so emotional and before I go off on more of a soapbox the OG welcome to New York is hitting today let me tell you HAPPY STREAMING AND BELATED TAYLOR INDEPENDENCE DAY EVERYONE!!!

Cassy

perfect timing girls 💛

Ava Jeffs

also I just have to say I ran into Jack antanoff on the first Taylor Independence Day in Washington square park in NYC and didn’t want to bother him so we just smiled and nodded at eachother while I was blasting the OG all too well and something about that has given me an internal peace like no other

Katie LaFave

obviously the timing of this is so funny with you guys not knowing what was to come 🤭🤭

Nevo

Guys i dont know if this is unpopular but I ultimately love every TV more than the original 🫣🫣. Like the nostalgia is there with the old ones but just her vocals and the sharpness of the instrumentals makes it seem so much cleaner. I tried listening to style og in the car today and I hate to say it but I missed the TV 😭😭. But at this point it doesnt realy matter because we can all listen to our favorite versions of every song! 🫶

Isabelle Gatapia

So excited to watch!!! Also the new potential logo on her letter!!! And I saw a twee, the perfect transition leaving a letter on the desk from the TTP!!! I canttttt. There's something definitely happening when she turns the page for the website!!!

Stefanie

The timing and the magic of it all ✨🤍

Katie LaFave

about a month ago, I realized that Taylor never just says “ever“ in we are never ever getting back together! She always adds more “ever’s” so she actually never sings the actual title of the song!!

Katie LaFave

i’m so happy that we are still going to get debut tv because I cannot wait to hear her mature vocals, especially on the slower songs! Like Tim McGraw, teardrops on my guitar, cold as you, and tied together with a smile

Jamie

haha well this is still fun to watch 😄💜 such a unique situation to be in as a fan!!

Jaymie

❤️❤️

Katie LaFave

omg I wonder if when you guys filmed this if the deal had gone through yet and Taylor did actually own the originals at this time since we know Taylor took the pictures for her Instagram on March 27th!!

Lindsay

YOU ARE FEEEEEDING US GIRLIES

Katie LaFave

people also like the growl in the Taylor‘s version of I know places because it reminds them of how she did it on the 1989 tour

Katie LaFave

I also feel like Jack’s voice is more prominent in the Taylor‘s version of out of the woods which I really like

j🪩

the power of the chickens!!

Kara Mills

Ok haunted OG is way better for me! Didn't realise how much less I listened to haunted until hearing to OG again, it just brought me back to falling in love with this song when I was young

j🪩

what a blessing of a timeline this is ✨✨✨🤍

Jackie

I watched a vocal coach react to the 1989 tour and she said Taylor’s vocals during that time were amazing but probably not sustainable for her vocal cords long term. So I think she intentionally trained her voice after 1989 to maintain the health of her vocal cords, and with the natural maturation of her voice, that’s maybe why her delivery sounds different

Mads

Regarding Jack on OOTW, I cannot even explain you what listening to that song for the first time was like for me. To set the scene: Swiftie since at least Fearless, my favorite band in high school is fun. fun. splits up and Bleachers forms, so obviously Bleachers becomes my favorite band (and still is to this day). Bleachers’ debut album comes out in July of 2014, it’s the summer before my freshman year of college, I fall in love with that album HARD. So October comes around, I’m in school in this new place away from my family for the first time, and 1989 comes out. And then I hear the sounds of this new band I’ve come to absolutely love combined with the music of someone I’ve loved since I was a kid. THE FEELINGS I FELT, I get emotional about it still. and then taylor blessed me with it as my surprise song at eras.

Julia Fisher

I am an I Know Places STAN!!!! And it was one of the first ones I went back to now that we can listen to the originals… I personally do not prefer the change to the I-I-Is in Taylor’s Version. The original is PERFECT!!!!! So glad we can now listen to BOTH Also, I will forever be GOBSMACKED that Treacherous exists. How does a song that good exist?!?!?! I am truly baffled.

skizzo

Clean TV and This Love TV are perfect rerecords, and this is coming from someone who ranked back in 2014 Clean and This Love as the best songs of 1989. You can love something and the song can still be improved. I agree with I Know Places, Out Of The Woods and Wonderland as better too. From Speak Now I would also add The Story Of Us and Innocent as superior rerecordings, they just sound better imo.

Katie LaFave

speaking of Taylor changing the words in songs, I’m surprised you guys didn’t say anything about how in the original haunted she says it’s all “too” quiet but then in the taylor’s version she says it’s all “so” quiet

MarkH

On I Know Places, the improvements are the subtle effects on her voice; she is a better singer. The growl you pointed out, but you did not mention the squeak. I. don't know how to do this myself, and also I am a man anyway, but she has mastered the squeak since the original 1989 recording. The squeak is at 12:29 in your video, but it is much more noticeable in How You Get The Girl.

Katie LaFave

also with clean in the 2nd verse, I also feel like the backing vocals on “roof” are more prominent in the Taylor’s version which I’m obsessed with

smolberry

Bonnie saying her feeling that 1989 was the hardest to rerecord because it was already perfection i s so funny now after Taypendece Day

Katie LaFave

i feel like the way i loved you is also one of the best re-records!! especially after listening to the og today!!!

tomww_

This Love TV is the biggest improvement imo on 1989 TV. I was shook re-visiting the og yesterday since TV got released 😅

Kaz

major agree on OOTW!!! First time I listened I was actually on a flight and it was so well done, it was the one on 1989 TV that took me right back to 2014 on first listen

MarkH

The random small word changes are important, because legally they have to be different versions. (I mean, not any more since she owns everything now). There had to be something minor to distinguish the re-recordings from the original, to make it clear that it was not a direct copy.

Darya 🤍

The first time I listened to this love TV sent me into the stratosphere

Adam

The way my heart skipped a beat when you guys read out my comment!! 😭😭❤️❤️

AmberB

As a new fan, a Swiftie (Taylor’s Version) if you will, I will say that entering in the re-record era has made it easier to attach myself to the re-records by only listening to them. However this has meant that I barely know TS and Rep - so now I finally get to educate myself!! 🥰

Laura

P E R I O D. I agree with all that you say!

claudia jones

Has anyone considered that Taylor might’ve already owned these songs at this point !! ??

Mimi McCartney

this love is the most superior re-recording imo

Katrina

The best rerecords for me were Treacherous and I Know Places. The new Treacherous is so dreamy and pretty now, and the OG I Know Places was a little screechy but now her voice is more suited to those screams.

Claudy

I am a massive OOTW fan, but was so disappointed in OOTW tv. My favourite parts (the ‘I remember’ and ‘ah’s) were just really different. But I kinda made myself listen to it, and now I’m really appreciative of the rest of the song. Bc other than the bridge and outro, it’s definitely better. So I feel like I’ve always needed some time to sit with the new versions, to really understand them and appreciate them for what they became..

Cassidy

I still prefer wonderland original. Her vocals were further and shouted vs TV has it so close up and softer. Thankful we have both now though 🥹

Rose Ellen

Clean was one of my absolute fave Taylor songs. And somehow she made it better ❤️

Lizzie Page

I’m must speak my truth….I NEVER listened to Girl at Home before, didn’t care for it at all. With Girl at Home TV, I listen to it all the time now. It’s just superior.

Lefty

Ok this is not related, so apologies but listening to I Know Places here reminded me of this thing I've been feeling for a while now: I feel like most of Taylor's albums have a song that I kind of refer to as the quiet masterpiece. It's usually buried in the latter half of the album, is underrated and/or not talked about very much but can also sneak up on people and become a favourite, and I personally think are some of her most genius songs. If you'll indulge me, this is what I think are the ones that fall into that category: - I don't super feel like Fearless or Midnights really have one; Debut: Mary's Song Speak Now: Innocent Red: The Last Time 1989: I Know Places Reputation: Dancing With Our Hands Tied Lover: Afterglow Folklore: Invisible String Evermore: Cowboy Like Me TTPD: The Albatross

Megan C

Yes! I never thought about this, but you're so right and I agree with all of yours and throw in hoax.

Leanne22

She also changed the lyric in Haunted from “it’s all too quiet” to “it’s all so quiet” and it’s bothered me soooo much bc “too quiet” sounds way more spooky 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

inesrg

bonnie i just fathomed this yesterday but you give me some meg march vibes (emma watson’s version) and it’s quite comforting idk like big sis energy 🫶🏼

Sara Rose

I’m so sorry but Haunted Acoustic Version is the best version of that song. 💜🥲

Victoria

Wow I never noticed this that's so strange!

Yasmin

Nooo you guys didnt hear the repeat of the bridge in treacherous. There is another backing vocal that comes in the 2nd time (the oh oh oh) and the way they sound on TV is tooooo illegal.

Kristen Walker

Soooooooo passionate about Back to December! The outro is so much more insane OMG!!

Mex

i agree with you completely. it was perfect, and now it's even better

DemiMarie🤍🖤

Love that after yesterday they are all Taylor's Versions now 😭🫶🏻

Dominic Cuomo

Man it’s weird watching a video from Past Emily and Past Bonnie knowing we’re in the future😂😂🤣🤣

Erica

I cannot listen to OOTW TV… I hate hearing all the sounds. The fact that we are in the woods in this song means I want it to be a little more blended and muffled. And that dripping sound is so loud at the beginning 😩 totally ruins it for me

Mex

taylor told us she only did her vocals a couple of times and imogen was like, got it, babe. when you listen to both versions of clean in this video back to back, the noticeable change for me is the sound of taylor's breaths being so prominent in the original. the tv version is soooo smooth and clean (sorry, no other way to describe it). i wonder where they recorded the tv version. it might have been a difference in modern microphone quality or maybe they are just better at cleaning up the breath sounds in today's style of production. whatever it is, clean tv is buttery smooth and layered perfection on top of the og perfection

Miah

So crazy that you guys made all this content before Taylor announced she owns her original versions, you guys are so in sync with Taylor!!!

Mly

I don't know if it's because I listen to the songs on YouTube, maybe it's less quality, but in Red or Fearless there are songs that feel more nasally? I don't know how to explain it because I'm not an expert, but it could be because of YouTube and that's why I like the Taylor version much more, or maybe I'm just used to it, but the vocal growth since Reputation is incredible.

Mly

but the nostalgia and the sighs or the broken voices of the originals ohh simply makes you feel what she felt and aaaa I love that we can hear both <3

Takara

AND WE RUN!!!!!!!!! As an I Know Places stan the TV version with the growl makes me scream (positive) 🩵🩵🩵

Justin

I guess I’m in the minority of preferring the original OOTW. I think the “OH I REMEMBER!” at the end of the bridge hits so much harder in the OG.

Takara

YOU CAN LISTEN TO HAUNTED ACOUSTIC VERSION NOW!!!!!!!!!! Rejoice 💜💜💜

Faiz Rizza

As a OOTW TV truthers, i agreed with this part from the OG’s

Zosia Dabrowski

Love you reflecting Bonny about how out of all the old albums 1989 was probably the hardest to rerecord because it was already perfect- posting this just after Taylor's said out of all her first 6 Rep was the hardest to rerecord and do it justice so she just hasn't! I wonder if pre-announcement Bonny would have agreed- I imagine in this video you were mostly referring to the already re-recorded albums in terms of which were hardest to improve upon

Hannah Brandner

Wonderland was easily one of my favorite re-records 🩵

Hai Ngo

The Way I Loved You is easily one of the best re-records, personally🫶

Linds K

In Sad Beautiful Tragic’s bridge, the vocals are cleaner. The original has more vocal fry on the lower register that doesn’t seem super intentional, almost like the notes are just barely in her range, compared to the vocals in the Taylor’s version where she can hit them cleanly

Gabi

I'm so fascinated that there's a consensus on wonderland tv being good bc I despise wonderland tv and i think it's the worst rerecord she ever did. I think taylor's vocals and the production all sounds great in wonderland tv but then, the effect on her voice when she says "becomes of curious minds" is so grating and wrong to me and totally takes me out of the song

hauntedwillow27

idk if this helps but i think it sounds like “but darling” in both versions. i can hear the “oh” you’re hearing but i also hear “my” and i also hear “but” if you listen for them lol. i think she just said “but” quite quickly in tv. it also makes more sense lyrically imo

hauntedwillow27

i feel taylor could relate to tell me why when she was rerecording it … lol. she seems to FEEL ITTT even more in taylor’s version it’s like the opposite of what happens in some other songs when it feels like she doesn’t have the same emotion

natis_georce13

I know places taylors version gives me life. its perfection

Tess7

Haunted is just the best song, in any version. I do love what she did with it on the re-record. As another person said, my heart skipped when you read my comment lol I’m so glad Taylor will give us Debut. I absolutely agree with you on OOTW and Clean. I think they are so well done. Thank you for the extra videos this week 😊🫶

Annika 📍Melb, AU

Due to the superior production (less tinny/static sounds) and vocals on most TV songs I think my full TS playlist will have mostly TVs with a few exceptions (like OG WANEGBT gives me goosebumps). Then, when I want to be a nostalgic lil bitch I'll go back and listen to the full OG albums.

Annika 📍Melb, AU

I wonder if the little differences in production, like the echo in Haunted TV, was a result of Taylor being more experienced with production, and knowing what was possible (and also having more creative control and getting to advocate for it). Creative control makes me think of Girl at Home (for better or worse) - maybe she always wanted that to be more Pop, but was told 'no' as she was supposed to be a Country artist at the time and there were already 'too many' Pop songs on Red.

Maya

The beginning of blank space TV annoys me so much, I’m glad I can listen to the OG now!! Also the line ‘ I never heard silence quite this loud’ in the OG hits so much more than TV

Annika 📍Melb, AU

Maybe instead of rerecording Rep, Taylor could remaster it and re-release it with the vault tracks. I would love a version that sounded less tinny.

Hyla Sorenson

I was watching a previous video on 1.5x speed and I didn’t realize it was still that way until I Know Places started and I was like “was the original really this sped up?” 😂 Also, as someone who was a casual Taylor fan for the release of the first six albums, I don’t have the nostalgia for them that so many people do. I began to love Taylor with Folklore and Evermore and then with the release of Midnights and discovering your channel, I became a diehard Swiftie. I’ve added the originals back into my playlists now but I have such a love for the re-records and Taylor’s current voice that it’s almost hard to listen to the originals. I also have an emotional attachment to the re-records because of what they meant for her and for the Swiftie community as a whole. I think the debut re-record is going to be really special for me because I love it as is but her older voice is going to be so interesting!

OurSong13

what do you guys think will happen with the holiday collection? I was really hoping for updated vocals and maybe new originals. It seems odd for her to not have more original xmas songs all these years when xmas is her favorite holiday. RIP HOLIAY COLLECTION (Taylor's Version)

Nick S

This is exactly how I feel. It is more intimate in the OG with a larger release towards the end. TV feels like chaotic noise all the way through. Maybe TV would sound better in a whole arena, but it is not how I want it in my headphones.

Dswiftie

I really liked this video. Especially now that she owns all of them. Love you guys! Hope you had a fantastic trip.

Sara Garrity

I will die on the hill that the 1989 TV album cover is simply gorgeous and the best recreation she’s done

Heidi

I never listened to I know places much before, but when I was first listening to tv, it just got me so hyped, idk why, the intro or something, I also think that a mature voice just suits the material and song style

Josie Bicknelle

I think the main reason why I deeply prefer OG haunted is because there is so much emotion and anger in her little voice, especially in the bridge, whereas her re recorded vocals don’t carry that same quality which isn’t necessarily anyone’s fault. Luckily now I can listen to both!!!! 😇

Alida 🤍

The last time taylors version is sooo much better than the original 😍😍

Kiki

It really is fascinating - wonderland is my favorite on the Taylor's Version but it never was on the OG 😂🩵

jasmine 🇸🇪🌷

haunted any version is superior!! but i think what makes the og haunted hit so hard is the emotion in her younger voice!! especially in the bridge. there’s this anger and desperation that just grabs you! the re-record is beautiful but it doesn’t have that same quality to me and i do recognize that is completely biased because haunted and speak now have always been my favorites and i’m so happy taylor owns all her original work 💜

Ella Spear

Where are both your tops from?! So gorgeous as always

Javeria Rashid

In her letter in her website said that she has not re-recorded Rep and would only be giving us the Rep Vault Tracks instead

maya zutra

The energy in the last 2 videos is GIVING sound engineering girlies. Its making me giggle so much lol

sofie sandrini

No one is fathoming that This Love is the one

Daria

Now that Taylor owns her old masters I would love it if one day you two sit down with each one of the four albums and compare the og vs Taylor’s version and discuss which version of each song you prefer 🥰

Jackie Weiss

Yessss I was just coming here to comment the same!! Would love Bonny + Em to really dive into each album and overall vibes and specific songs that are more superior reclaimed vs. Taylor’s version. And edit the playlist!!

Kellie Mahoney

OOTW is one that I will be replacing in my personal playlist with the original. I think technically the TV is better but it doesn’t give me the same feeling

kayla

I much prefer the production in the original ootw; the outro specifically.

Bethany Andrews

These two girls have no idea what we're about to find out!!!!

Jessikah

I Know Places - its allllll about the belt of ‘and we run’ at 1:39 that MAKES IT - the TV one has this amazing growl to it. Maybe because she still somewhat relates to this song and can fuel it with emotion?

Kelsi Ford

the amount that y’all stocked up on content is so impressive like when did you have time for all this in the midst of moving and life and travel planning?! we appreciate you chickens so much 💕💕

Megan C

I was wondering that, too. I bet someday she will re-record.

Megan C

Same, Kiki!

nina

Am i the only person who prefera style tv? The vocals are superior!!

Cassy

i actually didn’t connect to 1989 until the tv came out because it was perfect for my life at the time i had never related to the songs more and especially the vault tracks really stuck with me. i had always loved certain songs on the album but in general never considered it a fav. the taylor’s version blew me away and i love the album so much. it’s been so fun since we got the ogs back to rediscover the og album and now i have such a deeper appreciation for it. i really get why it’s so many people’s favourite pop album 🤍

Kayla Knutson

The original “and we run” has this squeaky quality to that line whereas the TV has a growl, which is superior. The production also feels less chaotic and mixed better in the TV than it is in the original. The TV I Know Places was on repeat for me when it came out - definitely made me fathom the superiority of the song!

Aisha Louise

Hi chickens ! Just wanted to say as you love going to paris so much you should absolutely come to the south of france and as someone who lives here you will see that THE REAL FRENCH EXPERIENCE is Here and once you come you will always want to come back 😭

Cassy

well love the dancing with our hands tied mention and totally agree with some of your other picks as well 🫶🏼 i do get what you’re saying, i often feel like there is a dark horse on the albums as well!! i’d personally say maybe labyrinth or the great war for midnights.

Cassy

sad beautiful tragic tv is soooo close to the og!!! the other day i was listening to the og again and was like i wouldn’t be able to tell the difference if someone had put this on and told me it was the tv

NotNate8

The Last Time TV is the only one that exists IMO… Taylor's deep vocals just sound sooo much better with Gary's vocals. It's perfection

Chelsea Mervis

You Are in Love TV is so much better than the OG

Hayley

Are you guys okay??? The riots in Paris looked bad ❤️💔❤️💔

Jenna Bolmgren

I was never a fan who pored over the lyrics as much until I started watching your channel (which saddens me as an OG Swiftie how I missed out for so many years). There were so many lyrics that I heard differently in the TVs, like she annunciated more or had different breath control or something. Anyway, thank you for being superior chickens and helping us fathom 🤩

E ✨🩷

State of Grace TV and Out of the Woods TV are elite imo 🩷🚀

sorvde

According to their Instagram stories, they seem to be having a good time and safe

Kamree Kelley

I’ve noticed she annunciates her words more in Taylor’s version!

Erin M

I prefer the OG Out Of The Woods because Jack’s vocals at the end of the bridge changed and it always throws me off, but otherwise it’s a perfect Taylor’s Version

Hayley

Christopher the riots happened last night and they haven’t posted anything today 😕

Javeria Rashid

Best video to watch whilst I am on the last leg of my honeymoon

Victoria

I have to disagree about Haunted, it's the one tv song that killed me to have instead of the original. When Taylor announced she owned her masters it was the first song I listened to haha

kRiStAvAnG

Clean TV…that bridge just hits sooo much harder. Literally feels like a wave crashing into you.

Wendy Davis

Bonny, I agree about her voice leveling up yet again on TTPD. The vocals on this album are her best ever--stunning. But no one ever talks about it, maybe because there are so many other layers to fathom in those songs.....but really we need to talk about and pay the appropriate respect to how absolutely incredible she sounds on this album!!!!!

Kira-Marie Lazda

I remember hearing Clean TV for the first time - it moved me to tears. I had never been a clean girlie but the sounds of Taylor's version feel so profound, it's like you're sinking underwater and this song is the light at the surface. A masterpiece, no notes.

Bryn

Starlight TV got a huge upgrade IMO!!

Ebru

As a newer fan, I didn’t have a lot to compare it to, and only had the albums she owned or re-recorded. Although rep is one of my favourite albums, so I bought the CD for my car as a celebration, and it’s the first one I’ve actually bought myself, as every other one has been gifted to me.

Jamie Gibson

I remember sobbing hearing it the first time too. My depression has always felt like I'm drowning and the light is always just out of reach. You've summed it up perfectly.

Brandi King

This Love & Clean are my favorite re-recorded originals! I feel like she really leaned into the ethereal “clean” production on those and made them sound more potent, magical and ocean-like. Absolutely beautiful and I’m so happy we have those! “This love” actually entered into my top 20 after the re-record and it didn’t even hit me the first time the album came out. That song is pure magic for me now ✨

Annika 📍Melb, AU

Yes exactly! Re-master the originals is my idea (she doesn’t need to re-record and maybe the audio quality could be improved a bit).

Laura Griffith

Out Of The Woods is an absolutely superior rerecording, the og just doesn’t touch it anymore🤭

hannah

Hi girlies!!! I also noticed since Taylor got her masters the other day and we are now able to listen to her reclaimed albums without guilt, there was a very clear division in my mind between which version I preferred almost immediately. More-so than when we all first listened to each Taylor’s Version once they came out because we then familiarized ourselves and became dedicated to the re-records. A song that REALLY stood out to me was “The Other Side of the Door”! Of course every song on Fearless TV is the superior version but especially TOSOTD. I had assumed I loved the original when Fearless came out but re-listening to the reclaimed version after obsessing over the re-recording was shocking! It made me even question whether I had loved the original song when it first came out or if my brain has been fooling myself this whole time and I had only fathomed it when she re-released it. Taylor now owning her masters and swifties being able to re-familiarize ourselves with these albums is SUCH an experience and no other fan base can ever understand how this feels.

hannah

Hopefully that made sense!! It’s so hard to explain but overall it’s just so much more clear now which version I prefer when listening to her catalogue since we’ve had years with the Taylor’s Versions and really dedicated ourselves to them wholeheartedly.

Kate Anderson

Everything has changed Taylor's version is superior!!!!

chatsandreacts

Hahaha we worked very hard before we left 😂 but we also asked Amanda (who edits our reels) to help with some editing just for these few weeks, which really helped us in a time of need 🙏 so glad you are enjoying the videos!

Nessa.

the only problem i have with haunted is the echoes at the begging and I also feel like the anger is not there so much in the tv???? I guess I also have a stronger connection with this song hahaha

Pam

I feel like I've seen so much negativity about the rerecords recently, so it's great to see some positivity about them!

Becky Tucker

To me OOTW TV sounds like a Disney movie and I don’t like it

LeaH🌟

Em, Bon, Are you guys still in Paris? Are you okay??

kayla ramoutar

haunted TV is not at all the same as the original and it made me so sad. i'm so excited i can listen to the original guilt free now!

Grace Tapulgo

Omg I just looked up the news! So scary! Hope you guys are okay ❤️❤️

Nicole

I'm the exact same way with this song!

Laura

100% Out of The Woods is the BEST re-record. Goosebumps.

Lauren

Think you recording the two videos you did were manifesting the good news!

Leah Rose

Oh yes The Other Side of the Door is absolutely phenomenal on the Taylor's Version. The emotion, production, the band went OFF on that re-recording!!

Chloe

why is nobody talking about the last time its hands down my favourite rerecord

Jennie 🐍🖤

Have you guys done the guessing TV vs. OG version challenge? I don’t recall but would love to see that!!

Brittany DeLara

Ugh. OOTW TV for the most part is so good but the “Ooooooh oh OH” repeating towards the end….i wanted that to be more prominent and it’s actually much more quiet than the original version.

Lara

your opinion about i know places is sooo interesting to me because i 100000% think it's been improved. i think it sounds different but better!!

gaby

so criminal that the other side of the door wasn't discussed 😭 it might be the bestest re-record for me

Hayden Smith

Clean is so much better! I can't believe going back and seeing just how much the original feels like a demo cut or something. Imogen truly improved it and but also made it feel like this is the way it always was, what a genius. Another one that was missed was Hey Stephen, her original vocals were really not the best, the TV is such a dramatic improvement

Tortured poets

Just wanna say I love you chickens soooooooooooo much 🥺🥰

Meagan

Bonny's top looks like the Evermore dress!!!

DeeAnne Herron

My "Unpopular opinion" is that I think I like the redo's more. I'm not a country girl and ACTIVELY worked at getting rid of my Oklahoma country accent so I'm not attached to that aspect of her first few albums. I've been listening to the OGs all week and I think that watching the Eras Tour every weekend for almost 2 years makes me prefer her current voice.

sleepless_dream (Lauren)

I MUCH prefer Girl at Home TV 🩷✨ and I have no nostalgia attached to the original cause I'd never heard it before this year. I don't listen to the original.

Marisa

Yes!! The accent guitars in the second verse? Oh my goodness, so drastically more prominent and so superior!

kenna🪽

ALL here for the treacherous love! It is my favorite song on red♥️

Selina

I didn't know "Girl at Home" before and I definitely prefer Taylor's Version!! haha

Jess

Would love a series where you compare the original versions to the TVs now that we have both!!

Jess

Maybe a video of you guys making your new playlist where you pick if you prefer the original or TV? :)

I think all of the other Taylor’s Versions preceding 1989 had something to gain from advancements in music production. Especially Speak Now and Fearless being roughly 15 years old. What I love about 1989 (original) is that its a major pop album produced with a fairly small record label still, and its Taylor’s most playful album production wise up to that point and it’s the playfulness that is missing from Taylor’s Version. You just cannot recreate the fun in innovation they were all experiencing making that album. Even If technically’ there’s an improvement, it loses the spirit somewhat.

The build up in Clean TV sounds like water slowly rising which symbolizes her drowning. I can’t explain why but it just sounds like that!

I had no idea how superior Clean TV is!

Safe and Sound is also an elevated re-record.

THANK YOU. The OG version was and still is a skip. It always felt like an unfinished demo.

I actually prefer all Taylor's versions, just her mature and developed vocals are where it's at for me

Love this conversation. Thanks, Girlies.

I can’t believe you skipped This love (Taylor’s version)??? That’s the most improved song!!! I feel like 1989 received more criticism because of two things (a) the singles from this album specifically ruled the radio and people know every sound in those songs (b) Taylor chose those singles to sound the most different from anything else? For eg: Style original version has very much the same sounds as Taylor’s Version, but in TV the bass doesn’t override everything like it did in Original Version

How many times I’ve rewatched 00:51 and Emily’s reaction being exactly mine hahahaha love so funny. On a serious note I honestly think that Taylor’s voice during 1989 was different due to her physical malnourishment. Seriously I think it changed her vocals. Her vocals are SO LOUD and echoingly acoustic to me. I honestly think that she had to literally push her vocals because her physical strength was not strong. 1989 vocals are so unique and I adore them but they do not come off as effortless to me. I think because she wasn’t healthy physically.
