‼️This is SO important to me ‼️ In a random video quite a while ago (no idea which one), the girls were eating biscuits that I NEED, but I cannot find!! They were small, square, yellow cookies topped with a fairly thick layer of chocolate and I think the girls referred to them as petit fours. so they filmed this episode on Monday, August 25th and Taylor posted about the engagement on Tuesday, August 26th! so when they’re filming this, Travis obviously knew they were engaged but the world didn’t know so I think either he knew that Taylor wanted to post about it the next day, but because it hadn’t happened yet and maybe there was a chance she was gonna change her mind about posting it that day so he didn’t want to bring it up until it was out in the world or yes, she woke up on Tuesday, August 26th and was like I want to post about this today! also he actually on their episode that came out on September 3th did talk about them being engaged! I also wonder too if it was planned for Taylor to announce it on Tuesday the 26th because she knew she was going to go to the Cincinnati game on Thursday the 28th

Loved watching! Kylie Kelce interviewed the Haim sisters in her podcast Not Gonna Lie. They don’t really talk about Taylor but it’s a fun watch for Haim fans. You can tell Kylie and them are friends which I’m assuming is through Taylor. You all should watch when you get a chance.

Would absolutely love a Disney/Pixar ranking! Also don't feel weird, I love all the Disney animated movies, not just Pixar. They are comfort movies that I will just put on whenever the mood strikes! Also not a critique but a small request! Please let the videos play for a few more seconds before clicking away. So many times previously I'm like noooo 15-20 more seconds and you would have seen or heard something else! Not really that important this time but I never want ya'll to miss anything! Regarding the Pinocchio and Jiminy… I saw someone online say that the only time in the animated film that they cover their eyes — like the shelf figurines are posed doing — is when the showgirls show up and start putting on a show. That tracks with Travis saying, “They’re just Disney figures, aren’t they?” Maybe they don’t Easter egg anything other than Tay’s gonna put on a sexy show that might make ya blush?

I love you discussion about how this podcast made Taylor so relatable to so many people. There is another podcast out there, The Sports Gossip Show, where they talked about that issue. I think Taylor is so iconic and Travis is so relatable that together they are something even bigger.

I am sitting here in tears because I needed this video today in a way I never have before. Thank you for sharing your excitement and giving me a happy distraction. The day Sabrina’s album dropped, I had a whole day planned for myself to listen to her whole discography and have a little party but the universe has other plans as usual. My mother in law unexpectedly passed away that morning and it’s been an emotional roller coaster for my family. My husband is especially close with her and my kids as well. The hardest part is trying to be an emotional support to my husband and my 4 children who all are grieving in completely different ways while also trying to hold myself together. I NEED distractions and escape desperately and you guys are my emotional support best friends and I thank you so much for your service! And I thank Taylor and Travis for giving me something amazing to look forward to. I will shut up now. But I love you guys and this community so so much. ❤️

The weird thing is I'm a huge American Football fan and listened to the New Heights podcast since it's beginning. I remember when Travis and Jason were doing a commercial for seat geek, a cheap ticket seller when the Taylor Swift Eras tour bracelet came up. I was shocked as I am also a Swiftie. This was the day my two fandoms collided. What a moment. I have championed the Travis, Taylor relationship ever since. So happy for them, our girl is with the right man.

I would love a Disney Pixar rating! Cars is really soooo good, that movie exceeded my expectations and it never gets old. Actually, it inspired a road trip for me and my hubby right before COVID--we drove from Iowa to Phoenix, and then up to Flagstaff, and we took Route 66 for a lot of it and saw all kinds of fun sights! It was a fab 10 day trip!

Maybe I’m wrong, but I also always got the impression that Tay shares music early with her friends when she’s physically with them. Like with Gracie, they were at Taylor’s house. It wasn’t like she emailed it to her. I feel like if Jason was at the house with them alone, that she might totally be like, “Hey, listen to this!”

This was fun! I want to make sure you caught that when Jets Jake says "Oh, SHE doesn't work for Pat Mahomes", he means Tree Paine. He does not quite say that, but who else could it be? It can't be Taylor herself or he would not have said "Oh. SHE isn't Pat Mahomes". So it has to be Tree, giving them their marching orders. Honestly, Tree would probably be much scarier than Taylor herself, because Taylor is always trying to make people feel at ease, and Tree definitely does not give that vibe.

The guys got merch from Taylor. Brandon posted a pic of a bunch of stuff thanking her for it. In the beginning when Jason is congratulating them on the engagement Brandon is holding up his Taylor blanket she sent. I'm so down for a disney and pixar ranking as a cartoon/animation fan myself. Now about the podcast, I honestly think that like, Jason knew she was announcing something but I really think he doesn't know anything more about it and the reason is simply he truly can't keep a secret cuz I've heard them say that a lot of times already (and something to note, Jason talks and sometimes also like interrupts their guests a lot, the man just loves talking so yeah, he wouldn't keep his mouth shut, and also great job on not interrupting her... That was like the biggest amount of time he was silent ever on that podcast haha)

Jason basically talks for a living, he is constantly on tv, podcasts, interviews & is notoriously known for accidentally spilling the tea & stirring the pot 😂 so I think it’s exactly that - she is protecting him/others like him from the burden of keeping the secrets!! it’s shocking how any football show, even sports press conferences will try to get clues from the players now! I fear we have taken over 😂🤭

I just think that it gets maybe a bit much with the celebrity stuff and less of the music. I get how we all are excited for the big things like Taylors podcast episode and I loved that video. But keep revisiting and refathomings or whatever It could be. I mean we are watching two football men with a podcast mic talk right now ahahaahahahahahahah. I’m so sorry. What? I could probably be the only one feeling this way. I just think your break downs was/is an absolutely genius concept that you came up with and that’s when I fell in love with you after I watched Evermore a couple years back. I’ve just rewatched all ur Lana videos because I neeeeeed more of that. Ranking songs is also FUN. I just want it to be more about the music. And OLDER music - not just gen z/tiktok music. Even though that may get more views than Stevie Nicks. It’s really only how I feel and I still deeply love being here you are some of my comfort people. I just think reading the magazines, seeing music videos for other artists than Taylor, award shows where she isn’t there etc. stuff like that gets a bit irrelevant. ♥️♥️♥️

And I want to be sure they know it! It's important discussion if you care about taylors personal life- which im assuming many of us have always held interest & care in that as well as her music /lyrics. I also feel all of that joy but I can have wishes for more fulfilling videos. - Maybe all of us see their videos differently. Now that I think about it. I see it as pure joy. BUT I don’t see it as content. I see them as my Swiftie friends and I love them for that. However I LEARN a lot. I learn about how songs a structured. I learn about how lyrical content is storytelling etc. I can disagree with them which you can with any human. But bottom line is that I learn so so so much when they do reactions and breakdowns. Like the australian singer kylie minogue - I have no idea who she is like they have no idea what great Danish Music is but I wanna know! So much more than a music video from Sabrina, Lorde or a refathoming… (I LOVE Lorde and I do also love Sabrina - so don’t misunderstand me, I just don’t think other than their music its that interesting for it to be my video of the week) I just think we often say yes too quickly and say: whatever that sounds nice! When they actually asks us what we want. Then we should be honest. And there are many gen z artists i just see enough of on TikTok. Anyway: if Bonny and Em read this I’m sorry for saying “they” and not writing directly to you now that it was a respons. Please know that I learn so so so much about music and literary culture through you and I just deeply miss it. It’s constructive criticism like you give the artists you react to. I wanna second the fact that you stated this in such a kind way and I toootally see your point about the balance between detailed breakdowns/pure discussion of music vs. other artists/mediums/trendy topics feeling a bit skewed at the moment. I think anytime there’s a new album coming the plot gets a chaotic, there’s prob a hyper-focus on this podcast bc the interview was such an unprecedented thing to get from Taylor, and also having other voices from her inner circle talking about the album is pretty rare. So if it helps, you could think of it like they’re absorbing all the extra context around an album release - how Taylor might be feeling, getting excited about hints/easter eggs, etc. - and all that info + energy feeds into those deeper breakdowns that we know we’ll get later! It also presumably takes a lot of time/effort to prep for album breakdowns so it’s gotta be a lot for the girlies to balance all the new info coming at them rn about showgirl and also take the time to deep dive albums/artists we’ve asked for previously, it’s prob easier to check off requested music video reactions or shorter rankings in the meantime while they prepare for all that comes with a new album. I assume they spend days or weeks intentionally listening to an album to find those lyrical takeaways and production details, and when they listen I want them to WANT to obsess over that album and be excited about it. So maybe another reason they delay is to just not force a breakdown when they aren’t having a moment with an artist. And tbh if they forced it just bc we asked for it, it may not give that passion and depth we all love to hear from them. Personally I’d rather it happen organically for them and be a pleasant surprise for me Not criticizing your viewpoint at allll though, I do see where you’re coming from and I somewhat agree! Like I’m so desperate for Maggie Rogers reactions/breakdowns, Lana/Noah/Lorde/Fleetwood Mac breakdowns, love your idea about Kylie Minogue too like that would be soooo interesting to get from them. Taylor's lyrics across all her albums have always been poetic. I guess what has been poetic specifically about TTPD is how vulnerable it is and how much she's actually revealing like she never has before. I don't necessarily think that makes an album more or less poetic though, it's just a different writing style.
