Lady Gaga’s performance was prerecorded the night before because she had a show the night of the VMAs at Madison Square Garden. She performed on her tour stage, which is designed to look like an opera house. It was the same set used for her Coachella performance this year.

As someone who did not enjoy Conan's previous album at all, Wishbone is definitely worth listening to and the music videos he did featuring Corey (the guy in the performance who is also Sabrina's bestie from Girl Meets World. Not sure if they're dating) are really well done and beautiful, intertwined storytelling. I think you guys would like all of it!

Thanks for this! Sabrina was awesome--she is such a professional and always gives something more than expected. That was Kenny G playing the soprano saxophone at the beginning of the Doja Cat performance, which was sadly kind of mediocre otherwise. Wind instruments come in a huge number of sizes, from sopranino to contrabass; the contrabass saxophone is over 6 feet high and has to rest on the floor. I agree with Emily though that Jealous Type is a good song and you can feel the Jack Antonoff in it, in the recorded version.

Trying to understand what you guys see in Sabrinas new album 😭😭 On first listen I thought it was barren lyrically without all the bells and whistles but I just chalked it up as something not meant for me. What icked me out was the honestly lazy and unintelligent response she gave in her initial interview, telling women to “get out more” and contradicting herself on multiple occasions. It’s the whole.. “It’s up to interpretation” vs. “People will look at it and know exactly what it means” 😔 I’ve been ten toes behind Sabrina for the majority of her career in music but the moment she began vilifying her own fans, she lost me 🤷🏻‍♀️

I love that doja cat performance, that instrument in the beginning is called a soprano saxophone (it's higher range than the alto sax, similar to a clarinet but there's a little bit of instrument difference) I loved Sabrina's performance also and her and ariana's speeches 🥰 I love that yall still reacted to bits of the vmas 🫶
