As a theatre kid I can completely understand the intense emotions and the 'family' dynamic that is created when doing a show. People critisising how emotional/connected the wicked cast is I feel like haven't had that experience because I didn't find it weird at all? That's what theatre feels like and in that level I cannot imagine that magnitude of emotions that come with it. Taylor is a theatre kid at heart I've always connected with her on that level! 🫶

What a beautiful way to end the eras and start a brand new year ✨ it was so lovely to see happiness be heard through the perspective I had of it. When I first heard happiness, my aunty was very poorly with a brain tumour, she was terminal and that song came at just the time I needed it. Being so worried about what was to come, but hearing “ there’ll be happiness after you but there was happiness because of your was exactly what I needed to hear to still my worry, and I’ll forever be thankful for that. So when that song played in a very similar context I felt so at one. Thank you Bonny and Emily for all that you do, you’re both truly a treasure, I hope you have a wondrous 2026 ✨💖

Fun fact… Taylor has kept the same dancers for multiple tours. 2 were in all 3 of Red 1989 and Rep 7 were in 2 out of 3 of those three tours Esp 1989 and Rep where most of the 1989 guys came back again

I really love what she said about youth culture because i guess i had never really thought about that and how much pressure it would actually be for young people in the industry with so many people looking at you as a role model when you are still figuring yourself out. And i think Taylor definitely went through that herself, i mean shes always been so mature for her age "growing up precautious sometimes means not growing up at all". This pressure can make young people crumble, and we have seen it happen so many times in the music industry and the film industry, so i can definitely see why she is so happy about her legacy being made and defined in her mid 30's as opposed to her teenage years

Thank you for a great ep 6 reaction, much better than ep 5’s. Although I tried so hard, I never succeeded in getting tickets to take my daughter. This document really helps ease that pain for both of us. I also was waiting this whole time to hear from everyone else other than Taylor about “what that was like.” I am so satisfied I got to hear from all the dancers, singers and band.

I love that they touched on things like the 22 hat because it feels so sweet I was just a little girl when I got into Taylor during debut so them having that 22 moment feels very important. Also I think on the Christmas mini convo she wasn't sacrificing her Christmas, it's a day to spend with loved ones and he is her family plut I bet it was fun to have those moments. I will always love this doc it feels so warm and something I can go back to and just be happy and sad watching it. HAPPY NEW YEAR (but yeah it's January she will drop the MV soon it's Jan or Feb, I knew she wouldn't do it during Christmas because that made no sense) I do want a performance but I fear I don't think we're getting one any time soon I guess it will make ir crazier when it happens hdhshs. Sometimes the simple answer is the answer we generally don't get one to one time with Scott or Austin because it's probably just not their thing. And while I get the whole planning thing some elements are obvious and we saw a lot of logistics (Does the city have the capacity and demand, does the stage fit, legal and governmental aspects) and the songs I think she just felt like ttpd explained how she does about it (a mix of songs the audience likes and songs that mean something to her and the story she's telling, and the debut set was represented through the acoustic set which is why the piano is so debutesqué)

I just need to say I was dying over Happiness and then with The life of a showgirl I was also just dying because it was also the combination of all things int he episodes, like thank you for the lovely bouquet, and looking back I guess ot was kismet, the stage door, even the you're softer than a kitten because I'm pretty sure in one of the videos Marjorie was reading her a book that said like "the kitten is soft" or something and I just had all these moments from the documentary in my head going around while the credits rolled and I needed to talk about it

I thought the Travis letter was cute, but I didn’t think much about it when I watched on my own. Now, your reaction is making me also realize that the Eras Tour brought them together in so many more ways than I was thinking. First, planning to do it probably set the stage for her choosing her passion and career over her relationship(s). Then the positivity and joy of the shows probably helped her overcome the manic storm around her and Matty, maybe she wouldn’t have been as confident to release TTPD if she didn’t have the Eras Tour keeping her strong and connected to fans in a real way. In addition to the professional highs she was experiencing, she was pushing her body to excel in ways that were undeniably athletic and objectively impressive. I believe that helped open the door to Travis because during the Eras Tour their lives were the most similar they had ever been or will ever be (until they maybe take a short break in private to have a family??) I do wonder if Taylor would have continued to be stubborn against athletes if she hadn’t been feeling so personally athletic at that time. It must have helped her bond with his friends and community too. I believe their relationship must have grown past that and they really are similar in so many other and deeper ways, but initially I really think that the physicality of the tour would have bonded them.

The doc says: on May 30, Taylor purchased all of her previous work… I think that‘s when the deal became effective. She said in the podcast that the negotiations started a few months after the final show and she probably signed the deal shortly after. I think it’s the same when buying a house. These things take some time. Therefore, she knew the day her music would be hers again and that‘s why she probably had the post and letter prepared for May 30 🫶🏼

Seeing Taylor so excited over the Gracie mashup gives me a different appreciation for it. Like clearly it inspired her and she was having fun at a time when she was exhausted, and this was something for her at a time when she literally stated she was trying to figure out how to be for everyone else. But for her this is just a great tour coming to an end, a victory lap, and she clearly had an epiphany lyric moment with Last Kiss and I Love You I'm Sorry, which is so joyful to witnesssss. After the scene Bonny referenced from Miss Americana where Taylor talks about women in music being tossed aside by age 35 and just wanting to work hard while we're still interested, it really felt like Taylor went into the Eras Tour thinking it was going to be a farewell tour and that her career would slow down after it, which was why TTPD felt like more of an artistic choice than a business move and it became her most successful album (and then she beat that again with TLOAS after the tour ended). It's like she's consistently shocked that we haven't lost interest in her yet, but little does she know that she'll be 90 years old writing songs about how her favourite brand of oatmeal was discontinued and I'll be right there with her 😂

I wonder if part of why she was so ready for the tour to end is that she had to revisit old, painful relationships each night. Sure, the core setlist was muscle memory, but the surprise songs required real emotional presence. Even toward the end she was still choosing some especially raw, heartbreaking mashups, almost as if she was deliberately purging them. If you didn’t know she was in a happy relationship, you’d think “yeah she’s still in the Matty story”. I think she probably needed to put those stories fully behind her so she could step cleanly into her new relationship with Travis, and the end of the tour somehow also marked that full clean slate

Oh my god I loved so much your discussion about the wisdom and experience that comes as we mature. I really loved that Taylor brought up her impatience with youth culture. Let me just say that when I was 18 I was sooo annoyed at older people seemingly holding it over me that they knew something about life I didn’t, saying I would realize whatever point they were trying to make when I got a bit older. Ugh. But then I continued to get older and, well, they often turned out to be (annoyingly!) right. I wish that, instead of feeling resentful and focusing on trying to feel more with it and mature, I had just relaxed and embraced the idea that there was knowledge and wisdom to come. Taylor was right when she told herself she has no reason to be afraid, and she proved it to herself with this tour. It’s clear to me she is experiencing the deepening that comes as we grow older, if we’re open to it.

Guys I genuinely think she won’t perform any Showgirl songs until she goes on a tour. She’s a smart business woman and I think she has seen that 1 She doesn’t need to do performances to promote the album and give it away to some radio or tv show 2 She creates a higher demand for a tour and any concert films she will make in the future (for example with the eras tour she did Cruel Summer for the first time and it was magical and we didn’t have a 4k video of it until the Eras Concert Film so…)

Imagine if had had a Karma performance before the Eras Tour on a random tv show: everyone would go and see that on youtube and the the eras tour performance wouldn’t be that special as a closer as we would have already had visuals, live singing, live music etc. In fact, for me, The Archer live on the Eras is beautiful, but I always think about the youtube couch performance she did in 2019 and I prefer it much more to how she does it on the tour. So I’m watching and had a though… what if paper rings is playing at the start because at that time she was with Joe and was maybe willing to settle for paper rings but at the end of the documentary we get that her and Travis and her are engaged. So it’s a reminder to never settle for paper rings the real thing will find you! Thinking back on the two Gracie appearances, I wonder if maybe this episode's mashup was what they originally planned to do in Toronto, and they just loved it so much that they took the opportunity to do both. The way Taylor talks about the Us mashup in ep 5 makes it seem like it was a last minute choice (saying something about how she and Gracie were going to change what they planned to do in order to incorporate Us for the Grammy noms), which to me implies that they spent time constructing a different mashup with a different song. We'll never know for sure, but given that Gracie was there as an opener for the whole rest of the tour (unlike Sabrina or Ed, who only had free time on those specific days), the double Gracie appearance makes a lot more sense when considering that Taylor just came up with two mashups that she loved and didn't want either one to go unheard, and took advantage of her and Gracie being together for that whole wrap up.

Evermore is a depressing album. It doesn't suprise me that it's not one Taylor is super vocal about. It is weird how upset people get about Evermore. She was so unhappy then. Why are we berating Taylor for not wanting to live in that pain, especially when she has to keep moving forward in her career. I get we didn't get Evermore Long Pond, but at some point we have to take a sec and think about how freaking sad she was at that time. It gets to be way to much "She hates evermore" "no one get evermore." Does anyone else get Evermore to the point of understanding why it's not as celebrated publicly as a whole album? Cuz it doesn't seem like it. Her music helps us all, and Evermore is so important as an album. But people need to back off a bit.
