Please tell me you guys saw that Taylor ran over to talk to Harry for like a minute and a half during the song Bad Habit which has lyrics like "Would you mind if I tried to make a pass at it? Were you not too good for me, my dear?" She was singing and dancing and then something clicked in her and she rushed over to him... concerning lollll

Literally 3 AM here but watching this video LMAO. I found it really disheartening and very sad that they brought her to the Grammys, filmed her the majority of the time to not have her win. I’m just glad that her mindset around the Grammys has changed and that all too well 10 was the song for the fans at the end of the day, and that song will always be a winner in my eyes. She doesn’t need a award to validate that. Love you both ❤️

When I was watching the Grammys and Taylor did not win SOTY my heart hurt. We all know she deserved it but if anyone else had to win it was I'm happy it was Bonnie Raitt. She is a true legend and a lovely person. Bonnie was getting alot of hate from Swifties and it has to stop. I'm sure you saw by now the pictures from Taylor's after party. She was definitely not at home crying like other years. She was having the time of her life (and drunk) and I'm so happy for her. Thanks for doing this video. Love to see your reactions. I'm actually not a fan of beyonce. Yes, there's a few older songs I quite like, but I listened to renaissance and I didn't enjoy any of the songs tbh. I think pretty much everyone being obsessed with her is an america thing as my friends are also not really into her (we're german)

But looking back on the past nominations for SOTY I can start to understand why she didn’t win in earlier years - it’s always the singles that are put forward, and we know they aren’t always her best songs! Beyonce is hit and miss with me musically too, I didn't like any of Renaissance either. At the same time I totally agree that she deserved the win. Renaissance was apparently a big throwback to an old school African American house/trap genre that originally paved the way for America's musical development in the 90s, which is one reason I always appreciate and respect her--even when I don't personally like her sound, she's always setting out with a specific and razor sharp intent to lift up her community. A major icon, I love that she and Taylor have always been on each other's side. <3

Sadly Harrys performance was a bit off because that thing was moving in the wrong direction! They had practiced it going the other way :/ That being said they did an incredible job, recreating the choreography mirrored (kinda).. Very professional! I think that's why he also sounds a bit nervous.

Thanks, guys. I have some thoughts: 1. It is important to remember that ALL of the voters vote on the big 4 categories (song of the year, record of the year, album of the year, and best new artist). So the jazz people and the classical people and the mixers and the engineers and everyone. By contrast, best pop performance or album, or best dance/electronic performance or album, and the others, are only voted on by the people who identify as being in that field. The voting rules restrict you to voting in at most 3 different of those (pop, jazz, R&B, etc.) categories. This makes the big 4 inherently less predictable. 2. Taylor's people had to shoehorn ATW 10 into eligibility; that is why she chose the short film version. At least half of the content has to be new, and the short film version is the longest of them all. Some voters probably saw that as manipulating the system, and some might also have just not wanted to vote for a re-record. This does not take away from the basic fact that a lot of voters are just complete fucking idiots as well, but it might help a little to understand. I honestly was doubtful that Taylor could win because of this effect. 3. The Grammies did a good job this year sharing the wealth. Everyone who should have won something did win something: Beyonce, Taylor, Adele, Harry, Lizzo, Kendrick, Bad Bunny, my personal favorite goofballs Wet Leg, and I think Rosalia too if I remember right. So that is the good thing. 4. I wonder if Taylor went partially to remind people how bejeweled she actually is. She was working the room like some kind of congressman, the cameras kept going to her because she was always up and dancing, and she hosted an iconic after-party. She might have been laying the groundwork there for next year. The Grammies will always be enraging, I fear. But I was glad to rewatch with you!

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of Renaissance either. I couldn't get through two songs. I couldn't hear Beyonce sing over all the dance and electronic music. My favorite album of hers is 4.

The Grammys did spread the wealth pretty well this year, but they always seem to F up some of the main awards pretty phenomenally… obviously SOTY, and even though I also love Harry, AOTY really should have gone to Beyoncé. Did you know she’s only won the big 3 awards ONCE EVER (SOTY for Single Ladies, which isn’t even the right award really, it should have been ROTY). But literally NEVER record or album… not for Lemonade (that was the year that Adele won and was a crying mess, saying she couldn’t accept it when Bey/Lemonade was literally HER biggest inspiration!) or for any of the other gazillion hits she’s had… she may be the most awarded artist in Grammy history, but only one time in the main award categories. That is truly shocking… it really does seem like the Grammys hold Beyoncé AND Taylor both to some some higher, arbitrary standard. Thankfully, Beyoncé was grateful and gracious AS ALWAYS, and I agree that Taylor did seem to have a great time, lol. She was the MOST STUNNING person in the room!! THAT DRESS THO… 😻 Ans Songbird was beautiful. Yaaaay for Jack too!!! ❤️🙌❤️

It's ok that Taylor didn't win, I have a feeling she will SWEEP all the awards next year for Midnights. Also, I didn't notice until I went on tik Tok afterwards but when someone yelled at Harry that Beyoncé should've won you just see Taylor popping out of her seat. It's so sweet, so endearing. Taylor not winning SOTY was a slap in the face, and I loooove Bonnie Raitt, i've seen her several times in concert. But was it SOTY? no. Sorry, Bonnie. But it wasn't. It was the least likely to win the award. I really liked Harry's album, I thought it was good. Did i think it was groundbreaking, paradigm shifting, transformative, a risk, or challenging? No. Was it unexpected and fresh? No. Sorry, I really liked it, it just wasn't any of those things for me. Still it was depressing to see / hear people yelling at him to get off the stage and that Beyonce' deserved it. Again, people can disagree with the end result but being hurtful and rude is just unacceptable. And, people need to get ready for next year because I doubt she will win SOTY next year either, Anti-Hero is not SOTY, maybe ROTY. But, not SOTY. They will not give it to her, and SOS is going to be the frontrunner (as of right now). Taylor would really have to do something groundbreaking to be awarded for ROTY or SOTY and AOTY is out of the picture I'm afraid.

I also think that ATW was allowed and was nominated, but this tells you that even though it qualifies, the voters don't like re-recorded music OR they don't like Taylor. This is not the first re-recorded song to actually win SOTY, ROTY, or AOTY. So, I have to think this is personal against her. If others have entered, been nominated, and have won in each of these categories for re-recorded music, then I'm not sure why Taylor is getting hate from the gp over submitting her work when it has not been criticized to this level before.

thank you Emily for saying Taylor losing SOTY is an easter egg for 1989TV! It kinda might make sense because: a) she did the glambot this year and I can only find the last time she did it was for the year 1989 won at the grammys b) her outfit is a very similar style to her 1989 grammy outfit with the 2 piece top and skirt/dress c) she also started drinking early at the grammys so kinda feeling like she knew she wasnt gonna win so prepared all the easter eggs for 1989TV with the loss of a Red grammy connecting it to what inspired 1989 in the first place. I'm also choosing to think this if only for my own sanity.

I was honestly shocked. No song deserved it more. Not to say the song that won wasn’t great, but ATW10 is in a calibre of its own. Clearly the general public has spoken since it was the number one song for so long. Who are these people voting because they need to get better ears. Also she wore the navy blue dress for midnights but it’s also a very similar colour to the dress she wore to the Grammys during the speak now era. Plus the stones in the earrings are purple. So I think she was definitely still intending to release sntv next before she lost soty. So whatever happens next will definitely be due to what happened that night.

after reading the comments from several of the Grammy voters, it is clear that a lot of them are not listening to the albums or the songs, just going with what they liked or their favorite artist or what was popular instead of actually understanding the categories. Some just didn't like Taylor, regardless of the song. This is the problem. If people cannot separate their biases and actually listen to the music, then nothing is going to change. they have how many members? >25,000 and maybe that is just too much. maybe there needs to be some qualifications. maybe you have to be a Grammy winner, or so many years in the business, or some qualifications that allow you to objectively rate these songs and albums regardless of genre.
