SOOO excited for you guys to start watching Journey to Fearless with us! Here is part 1 of 3. Neither of us had seen this before which makes it a first reaction YAY!!

Comments

Miriam Hart

Yay!! Can’t wait to fathom!

JC S

I’m sick too - coughing for three months! So happy to watch this tonight/this morning! Thank you!!

Ileana Isabel

I mean, I "technically" joined during Fearless TV era—key word, technically lol, cause by the time Red TV came out it was only like a few weeks of waiting for me🙈🙈 But like in reality I've always been a fan of Taylor, ever since OG Fearless era (ybwm is my nostalgia song), but I always just listened to the singles and the most popular songs (i blame the patriarchy 🫣... and the fact that i was really young and didn't know shit back then hehe, but mostly the patriarchy) anyways, yeah only now have I become a full-time swiftie 😬🙈 and I really don't understand how I lived back then without being fully immersed in Taylor Swift

Will Mason

I want to thank you two because Im sitting near the top of the stadium for Eras tour in Nashville and I was going to buy resale tickets to sit in the lower level but you were talking about seeing it from a different perspective and it made me change my mind and stay were I’m at. You two are incredible.

Shayne B

I went to the Santa Clara show for 1989 and during blank space she just said “Cali” and I believe she did that in LA as well!

Lauren Levitt

I listen to a random podcast once and the guy told a story about how he would work on the jersey shore in the summers and Taylor would come in every week for karaoke night when she was like 12 with her OWN karaoke machine prepared with all the songs she wanted to sing

Miranda Turbett

I appreciate y’all for sitting down and viewing things like this that I never would have known to seek out and view so that I can watch it too! Lol hope that made sense, this also is just making me so excited for eras tour which will be the first time I ever see Taylor live even though I am a 2006 debut og swiftie as a 10 year old with no big girl money until now lol yay!

Reese

Fearless was my first cd ever I got it for Christmas and then I fell out of love with her and I came back to her in 2021 before fearless TV came out or was even announced it kind of felt like a full circle moment for me.

Richard

I thought I'd say this. She is Caitlin Evanson was Taylor's fiddle and background singer for Fearless, Speak now and Red.

Jenn Hamel

When you guys were talking about ducky touching Taylor I was thinking, we should have a discord thread where people talk about their experiences with Taylor like that! I met her in REP ROOM (!!! Iconic) and I have the things she said and did engraved in my soul

Jenn Hamel

To sample: she was wearing this iconic jacket , and we told her we loved it, and she said. “I was going for an Easter Disco, but with cocktails”

Leilani Willcox

Sooo enjoyed watching this with you guys! Bonny, I hope you are feeling much better now! Watching this makes me so happy, Fearless is such a special era, it was my first CD and first discovery of a love of music, when I was around 9 years old. will always be a Fearless lover. <3

Jess

Omg Em I 1000% thought she was about to start singing End Game for a second too hahahah I don’t know what made it feel like that but I instantly expected it lol. Loved this video gals your energy is perfect even when Bonny is a sick little egg 🥚 🥹

Jess

It’s when she says “a one, two” it sounds like “I wanna….” Be your endgame etc etc hahahah it’s actually quite similar

kienan

This was too fun! I had never even heard of this series before despite stanning since Debut. Loved fathoming it alongside you two! Thank you!! 💛💛 Feel better Bon!!

natasha mik

i am so in love with Bonny’s fearless hoodie!!!!! what size are you wearing? 😍

Nele

yeayyyy this was SO much fun!! <333

Kim

Love this! Hope you feel better soon Bonnie. 💓 Can y'all please do a reaction to her old vlogs from YouTube? They were so good and just time capsules of her life back then. I'd love to hear your thoughts on them.

Annika 📍Melb, AU

Hope you’re already feeling better Bonny! Sending healing vibes your way!

Abby Whittaker

I find it iconic that in our song she says “riding shot gun with my hair undone in the front seat of his car, I grab a pen and an old napkin and write down our song” then in sweet nothing she sings “on the way home, I wrote a poem you say what a mind this happens all the Time!!” It’s like time has shifted so much but she is still writing songs on her way home.. her mind 🤍

Dany Rv

This is just iconic!! Thank you guys!! Never seen this in my life you are just soooo funn to watch, I just don’t know how you do it. Love you guys 🧡

Charlotte Nixon

This was so cool omg!! I think some of this stuff is also littered throughout Miss Americana too! Also, as you guys were talking about her red lip appearing this early I suddenly fathomed how smart it is for her to have kind of made that her ‘brand’ in a way. Because it’s so reminiscent of stage makeup that dancers wear - because the lights on stage wash you out! So I’d imagine that’s where this originally came from but she took it and made it her own which is super cool!

Meghan Raap

I went to 1989 tour in chicago and I'm prettttty sure she said "chi-town" during blank space

Candy

There is a really funny clip of Caitlyn aka Tree embodying the alter-ego, Eunice, when they are horsing around on tour. I think it's one of the 'behind the scenes' videos out there. If I stumble on it again, I'll send it to you.

Katy Carman

I think it’s so cool at such a young age she was able to recognize, “it doesn’t matter how many amazing songs I bring them, they aren’t signing me still” and knew they didn’t want her for songwriting so she walked away. Wise behind her years for sure.

Leslie Drury

I went to a fearless show in my small town at our little arena. I took my bosses little girl & we had nose bleed seats. In the middle of Kelly Picklers set someone came up to us & asked if we wanted to go down to the pit. I didn’t believe them at the moment but they said they were trying to fill the pits so they let us go down there! I still can’t believe I was so close to her. I just remember being mesmerized by her hair. I was so close I could see stray hairs flying out when she would whip it up & down. Such a weird thing to remember lol. It was iconic!💕

learc

this was so much fun!! Some footage in there I had never seen and it's truly amazing to think about how far she's come since then (even though she was already iconic at the time 💫). crazyy I'm excited to see the next parts and Bonny I hope you're getting better! Love you girls 💖😙

Abrielle Wright

You can bring Hilary Duff into the TSCU...they were on a magazine cover together. It counts 😅🥹

Abrielle Wright

I had nosebleeds for one of the reputation shows I went to and it was beautiful from up there! Don't overspend on floor seats. I honestly think they cut off your view of a lot of the show! I got nosebleeds for the eras tour as well because that's all that was left but I'm still so excited!

Dswiftie

this was so much fun watching with you guys. I do remember hearing about the guy that taught Taylor how to play the guitar. He definitely knows who he is and what he did. I hope you feel better real soon Bonnie. Looking forward to part 2. Lots of love from ky.

Katie LaFave

it's so insane to me that people still think to this day that Taylor can't sing!! like obviously her voice improves with every album, but she was an incredible singer back in fearless era

gracie

A lot of these clips were included in Miss Americana, so they might be where you recognize them from!! I love journey to fearless....I'm excited for you both to watch the rest!!

Joe Weaver

Tree On Violin is my new favorite thing

mieke

yes! 👩🏻‍🦰🎻

devin dear

Feel better Bonnie! Loved this video, as it was my first time seeing it as well. I think it’s been used for clips because I do feel like I’ve seen some of the exact clips around! I’m hoping the Eras tour is visual everywhere!!

Michael

The pan into Bonny while Em fades off into the distance was sending me 😂😂

MarkH

Loved this! It occurs to me that a lot of people here, and maybe Bon too, might never have seen the crazy video where she and Abigail have a "win a prom date with me" contest. It was part of some MTV show, I think. That would be a fun one for you guys to watch! Don't be too soft on RCA. The amount of money they would have spent on making and promoting a Taylor album is literally less that 1/10th of one percent of their annual budget. Even if they roped her in with an advance that most artists could never pay back--which is still the standard operating procedure for trapping young artists--it would have amounted to a rounding error in their annual budget. The music business is really messed up and it chews up a lot of young artists.

Cassandra

Wait she had to threaten to sue that computer guy because he was saying he was the reason for her success 😂😂😂 NOT AN ICON. Ronnie cremer

Jaden

Omg I’ve just had a very concerning thought. This is very off topic but when you guys were talking about iconic moments of the 1989 tour… I just thought WHAT IFFFF she performed WANEGBT rock version on eras tour. That would be so fucking iconic

M3L

I've read some mixed things about the guy that taught her to play guitar. I did read an interview with him some years ago and his side is that he had a computer store and taught guitar on the side. And he admitted that he wasn't a huge fan of country music or something. Or just didn't think much of her songs. But in some early interviews Taylor talks about a guitar teacher doubting her playing ability and working hard to show him wrong. You'll see in some of those home videos she's playing a 12 string guitar. Because her guitar teacher told her she couldn't. Queen stuff! So I don't think she has the best memories of guitar lessons with the guy and they did a little Hollywood spin on how she learned so she didn't start off her career being negative. It wasn't until she moved to Nashville that songwriters there embraced her abilities and saw her talent.

Heather Gunn

Not to bring down the mood, but it truly freaks me out that she dated John Mayer right around this time. When I was 19, it didn't seem like a big deal, but now that I'm 33, the age gap seems so huge.

emily

I went to the 1989 tour in Santa Clara and during blank space she said "Cali" it was iconic

Miriam Hart

I went to the 1988 St. Louis tour and she said it like Saint LOUis… she really hit the Lou lol… but I do recognize that SydNEY is the superior version

Miriam Hart

The way she says that is ingrained in my brain lol

Katy Magner

I saw her in la and can confirm lol

Katy Magner

I would watch these two watch anything 😂 but definitely our 90s and 2000s queens!

Katy Magner

Agreed! I am 37 and even a 22 year old, I’m like what would we have to talk about?! What would you have in common? He Is just a creep!

Katy Magner

I saw the rep tour in LA, and we were back by the extra stages but didn’t realize it at the time until she started moving that way! I was screaming to my bestie, OMG LET’S RUN OVER THERE! She was mere feet from me. I was crying! It was incredible

Erica

You guys should do a video on the most fucked up things you’ve learned from viewers that you didn’t know before! Like top 10 things you learned but never mentioned in videos but wish you had. 😃

chatsandreacts

Thanks so much Leilani! Aww fearless really was so special I felt that watching this. So glad you enjoyed watching with us! B x

Mercedes

She just said "LA" during Blank Space at the 1989 tour!! I remember hearing she had done it at other shows and being so confused how it would work for us

tasneem

Do you still live in saint Louis

M3L

I don't know what your Fearless Era plans are, but the itunes Fearless platnum edition interview is great!

Alyssa Malecha

I went to 1989 Tour in Minnesota and the venue was in Saint Paul. But we have a weird thing here where Saint Paul and Minneapolis are the biggest cities and they are really close together so together they are called the Twin Cities. So she said Twin Cites when she came here!

CAM

I'm sorry, is a Bonny and Emmy journey to Metamorphosis an option???!!!??? Literally cure all my troubles please 😭 ❤️

CAM

And yes! Please do a watch of all past tours! That would be so fun to have

Jenna Bolmgren

Love the fathoming you did on YOYOK with “just to learn that my dreams aren’t rare” as in this ep when she literally says, “everyone you meet in Nashville has the same dream…” 🤯

Jaimie C

Bonny you're such a trooper for doing this while sick and Emily you brought the energy for Bonny. We are super blessed! You both bring the best parts of being a Taylor fan to your videos and it's just a joy. Debut really did lay the groundwork for her iconic songwriting to shine. In regards to Country music genre, Debut would have to be my favourite of her albums. Totally fits in to the style of Country I like with Taylor's own special twist. Many thanks for these videos, love the series, hope you feel well soon Bonny!

Jaimie C

Side note, I really hope you two are planning a vlog for your Eras tour concert/s! Watched your vlog for Rep Bonny and it was so much fun esp for someone who's never been to a Taylor concert!

Anika W

When I first became a fan in like 2010 I bought all 3 parts on iTunes and would watch them over and over on my tiny iPod Nano hahah, so much time has passed but seeing it again feels SO NOSTALGIC

Philippa

Prefacing this with - this is no criticism, love Taylor so much <3 But it's important to note that all of these official videos have post-editing to improve her vocals. She has always been an incredible performer and artist, but she has said on the record that she worked damn HARD to improve her vocals, especially live! She was young, and this was her first real big tour, of course she was learning and finding/refining her technique. I think acknowledging where she started allows us to appreciate how talented and hard working she is that she put damn time into improving her vocal performance to match the genius song writing she has. She's always been a good singer, but in the early days she was working on pacing, her vocal strength and stability, and consistency. Let's not forget that Taylor thrives with constructive feedback and constructive criticism, it's how she keeps evolving and achieves new heights and beats records and explores new and incredible facets of her talents! For reference - this is an unedited version of the Fearless tour from LA that is a more accurate reflection of her vocals at the time (not that it's a bad thing - being at the tour and seeing her live > perfect vocals!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RPd-S07mJU Love your work Em and Bonny <3

Anika W

also 1989 tour in chicago she said "chi town" which was sooo iconic, she made a whole bit out of it and was like "i heard u guys have a nickname and i was hoping you'd let me use it"

Steven Hanley

Becoming a fan late, I tend to blame on I default to listen to Triple J, if listening to radio and we all know they refuse to play Taylor so I had never heard her much. I love in the fearless tour and other parts of the set up of the show, the band members are wearing band hats and outfits in YBWM and keep matching through other songs as they can.

Steven Hanley

Bonny's point about Taylor's self belief is great, Taylor has that drive, knows she wants to create music and share it. Her worry (such as in many lyrics and in the Miss Americana doco) is that the world will stop wanting to listen to her, throw her out and be nothing new. Thus the drive to reinvent herself and be incredible all the time. That drive to be here for all of us

Steven Hanley

How Taylor left RCA thinking they would not let her perform her own music, it shows her drive and the result of that drive is Taylor owns all the songs on her albums and thus can re record (when Scott was horrible)

Maya

funnily enough I think she said in an Ellen interview that her first boyfriend was Drew

Sasha Dillon

R u guys gonna react to A&W?

Judith

Can we pleeeassse watch all tours togehter? THANK YOU!!

Dibbs Storey

You’re a cute hoodie poorly Bonny. Get well soon xx

chatsandreacts

YAY!!!! ohhhh honestly theres no such thing as bad seats, the shows are set up to be iconic no matter where you are. the main thing is YOU ARE SEEING TAYLOR!

chatsandreacts

omg that is wholesome!! a full circle fearless moment

chatsandreacts

ohhhhhh TEAAAA OMG I CANT BELIEVE YOU HAVE MET HER!!!!

chatsandreacts

OMG yes I fathomed whilst editing that its because she says "a ONE" that made it sound like "I wanna" bahahahaha omg!!!

chatsandreacts

right! same!! so iconic we can experience together xxx

chatsandreacts

ohhhhhhh my god. I have never made this connection. that is SO SUPERIORRRR

chatsandreacts

I'm so glad to hear this cause it was also ending me as I edited it bahahahahah

Renée

love u guys xxxx

Shannon Miller

Mentioning going to the tour twice to experience two different perspectives, I went with my bestie to see the Rep Tour twice in two different cities for this exact reason. We were closer in Chicago and then had the straight back in the stands view in Indianapolis. It was so so worth it.

Lauryn Brown

I was just thinking, has Joe watched this?? Also, I wonder what he thinks of her when he sees her back then or if they met back then what he would think of her?? Just illegal things running through my mind

Ally ❤️

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ally ❤️

I agree Debut is underrated! Can’t wait for the re-record!

Ally ❤️

She better bring that a rhinestone guitar to Eras… js #iconic

Linds K

I also agree Debut is underrated. I’ve seen Taylor in concert ONE time and it was when I was tagging along with my older sister to a Rascal Flatts concert and there was this young spunky girl opening up for them and I remember thinking “hey these are so catchy! I have to remember this name, Taylor Swift, so I can try to find her album” 😂 it’s so funny to think of that moment all those years ago knowing now where it all led

C

(lovingly) It kills me that y'all disrespect Caitlin like that, calling her Tree, and don't know who Grant and Al or the rest of her band are 😭 lmaoo

Aaron D in SF

Emily to me (a RedTV Era Swiftie): “How have you been alive this whole time?” 💀

Angelica Hernandez Green

I keep having a panic attack thinking your candle is going to start you plant on fire. :)

Chloe Amelia

I think you guys would REALLY like Noah Kahan's new album <3

Zoe Bennett

The strings player is actually called Caitlin haha. She was in Taylor's band for years (i think until Red tour). If you watch Taylor's old Fearless Tour vlogs on her youtube (omg you guys should actually react to those in a video!!!) Caitlin and Liz (her other backup singer) feature in them a lot :) x

devin dear

Ready for part two ladies! Hope you’re feeling better Bonnie! You as well Emily with your dental work 💜💜💜

Olivia

I went to the DC 1989 show and blank space was iconicccc

Olivia

PLS WHY DID I ALSO THINK SHE WAS GOING INTO END GAME

Maria Carmen

This was such a nostalgic, warm hug!! I love seeing baby Taylor and her relentless drive 💛

Erin Corey

Just watching this now but my shows “Sydney” for Toronto was “BLUE JAYS!” For our baseball team

Kristen

obsessed with this content! loved seeing her talk about when she was opening for every country star under the sun. i saw and met her when she opened for the opener for Garth Brooks in 2007 😭 and have been a die hard swiftie ever since. 🫶

ana

6am at the bus stop omw to work, 10°C cuz this is canberra so ofc, and you guys are keeping me company talking about one of my fave topics ever so i just wanted to say thanks for saving many of my mornings that go just like this

Rafael Pelegrine

As a Folklore swiftie, it's so funny looking back at this Era because I was a teenager when fearless came out and as a young gay boy from Brazil it was so far from my reality. Now I'm catching up to everything I've missed and it's so good

Emily 🌻

I went to the Toronto show of the 1989 Tour and instead of Toronto the Blank Space loop was "Blue Jays" after our Baseball team and it was so iconic

Jenna Aguirre

Hilary Duff was my first ever concert! I’ll never forget it. I had been obsessed with her for yearsssss

Brittany DeLara

“That’s why she’s Taylor Swift, and we’re us.” I never felt something so hard in my life. I laughed. Then cried.

Amy Sass

For Blank Space Chicago was “Chi-town”

Jessie

Bon do you mean when Hilary Duff went to Hawaii with her friends!??? I LIVED for that doco!!

Jessie

I went to this concert in Adelaide and afterwards my friends went to wait at the hotel and fucking MET HER!!!! I and I WASN'T WITH THEM COS I HAD TO DRIVE SOMEONE HOME *cries*

Jessie

Yes for Blank Space we had "Ad-e-laide!" Lol

Ramon❀°。

not her giving us a bejeweled eater egg with her guitar !

Anna

I went to the 1989 tour in Minneapolis/St. Paul and she said "twin cities!" for ours!

Caroline

When Abigail first appears during the interview, does anyone else hear Year 3000 playing in the background? 😵😵😵😵😵😵

Cassie

The girls during you belong with me were cheer leaders from her high school

Emma Davidson

Listening to you talking about wanting to go to shows IF she came to Australia and hoping to go to 2 shows.... Oh chickens. You had no idea what was coming 🫶

Adriana

I didn't go to the Fearless tour. But watching Journey to Fearless always, always makes me cry. I can't even explain it. Maybe proud tears?! 😭🥹

Sara _

As someone who struggles to sleep and constantly needs stuff playing in the background the journey to fearless, lover diaries, and midnights/ttpd reactions are some of my most comforting comfort videos. Honestly, what creators out there consistently put out 1+ hour-long content?? We're blessed

Tara Ludwig

9:05 - listening to you wonder if the Eras Tour will recreate any of the old sets/imagery/costumes from previous tours and thinking Wow, you really nailed it. great job with predicting the future.

Cat Glenn

Do you guys not know the lore of The Agency?!?!! With her original band including Amos and Paul?!!!!

Jaana

Watching this back now that she finally owns all her music just hits on whole different emotional level ♥️

espinosa1989

I didn't know about it back then, but it aired here in the U.S. on the short lived cable network The Hub back in 2010 before Speak Now came out.

Kristiina K

this is sooo funny and same time touching to watch after the Eras tour document 🥰 and your comments 🫶🏻

ShayMarie

Neurospicy Savants who fight for the good in the world. We really need more of them.

Maggie Tallman

Watching the Scott part three later with full fathoming of father figure under our belts 🥲
