I don't know for me it makes sense to repeat and reset. It's not fair for international fans that waited their whole life for a chance to see her to only get leftover songs. Tess talked about what happened afterwards. The streams weren't very good all night to begin with and then in the middle of the secret songs, she thought she had a better one, switched to it but it was ahead of the other one & then it was all sorts of problems. In terms of livestream quality: I really really am going to recommend swiftstream again! (Swiftstream.io) - since they have up to three video feeds showing at any given time, the chances they all go out at once are much lower. That being said, I might use someone like Tess or folkleric on a really big night like 1989 announcement night, because I think the separate swiftstream website itself does tend to break on those nights, and then you want to have the security of the massive TikTok servers, lol. Love your videos 💕

Bonny you saying that “this is her hardest breakup” has me thinking but what if it’s not? Yes it’s her longest but speaking from personal experience I’ve had a 5 year relationship end with little heartbreak because we had beat it to a pulp by the time we called it quits I felt numb and liberated. While I had a 8 month relationship absolutely wreck me when it ended so idk if we can assume this is her worst breakup. I’m sure so much happened in those 6 years that we know nothing about and it was a roller coaster relationship full of ups and downs so only time will tell but I do see her now happy and thriving and one day soon she will fuck up a crowd singing “you’re losing me”.

ALBUM REACTION RECS: 1) Calico by Ryan Beatty and 2) Zach Bryan by Zach Bryan. These albums absolutely broke me in the best way. They are lyrical masterpieces with incredibly vivid storytelling and complex melodies/structures. They both give folklorian energy in my opinion and I think you would LOVE them both 🩵

This is an absolutely valid point. I often think it could be both. By the end, she was glaring at him with storms in her eyes, her heart couldn't beat for him anymore, hence the liberated feeling of being an independent girlie. But...she is a romantic at heart who really thought she had found the fairytale end to all her endings, and invested 6 years of her life (and half her current discography) into making that work. She had surely envisioned the rest of her life intertwined with his, with his friends and family, with life in the UK, and all that is over now. In that way, this relationship could be the hardest to get over because, while her love for the man himself may have started to fade long ago, she is also mourning everything they built that she had to throw out, and a future that will never be.

I'm standing by my theory that she is playing these Joe songs 1: because she hasn't yet and needs to at some point and 2: to reframe their meaning by creating memories with the fans. She's in a catch 22. The longer she goes without playing them, people will keep suggesting that these songs are still too painful to play, she not over Joe, etc. If she does play them without weeping, some will speculate that they're back together. So, while I'm sure the memories associated with these songs make them sting to play, she's ripping off the bandaid while simultaneously pairing them all with a song that gives the clear message that they are definitely done and she's OK (even if some days she's likely not fine at all). I also wouldn't be surprised if there's an element of a message to Joe that, in spite of the proportion of songs she wrote for him, she is not broken, her career and her legacy are not tainted by him, she will continue singing those songs for her fans and be the queen of the world on her own while doing so. I feel like the performance of Champagne Problems the first night might be really layered. I totally agree that part of the emotions we saw may have been going through it with Joe. But Champagne Problems could have been really emotional for other reasons that night-- 1) The song immediately before it is Marjorie, so it would have been the first time she'd sung with her grandmother in a stadium, and I think the emotions from that wouldn't dissipate quickly. 2) She said she'd been dreaming of singing Champagne Problems with a crowd during the pandemic, so she may have also been having a really surreal moment of remembering when touring again seemed like something that may never happen while simultaneously playing a song she had been aching to play with her fans. . . And then add the Joe stuff on top of that. Sis had a lot to process that night.

I think she will announce Rep or Debut on 26 November in São Paulo, and release it N1 in Melbourne. That also follows the new pattern of announcing the next re-record about a month after the release of the last one. (1989 TV announced a month after SNTV was released) - I am also STRONGLY convinced there is a whole unreleased album TV that she recorded, and then scrapped for Rep. Because it was recorded Big Machine owned the masters, but because of her Copyright, they couldn't release it. I think she will absolutely re-record and release that.

For us Latin American fans, this is the very first time we are seeing Taylor Swift live. Not only that, but I’m for Argentina and we are facing a big economic crisis, getting tickets was not cheap, it cost a lot for us, since the time we bought tickets our currency has already been devalued. All this to say that if Taylor Swift didn’t repeat fan favorites like YOYOK just becuase it might not be as fun for people watching the livestreams…well that would be upsetting. Mexico, just like us in Argentina, has been waiting a long long time for this, I’ve been a Swiftie since debut in 2006 dreaming of this moment. So this concert, and getting to watch Taylor perform songs that mean SO much to me, is important. And I believe she knows that and that’s why she repeated that song again, and why fans had such a magical experience. 🙌🏻

Just a little follow-up after seeing today's video. Thanks for reading/mentioning/talking about my comment! How fun! Kind of as a continuation of the conversation, I'm now thinking about what you said about her and Joe having written Champagne Problems together as well as the engagement theme that, based on You're Losing Me, likely would have made Champagne Problems harder to stomach for her. I think what I meant by the performance being layered is that the other factors I mentioned might have had a cumulative effect. For example, singing Champagne Problems while really having a hard time with Joe (either post-breakup or mid-breakup) would have been a tough performance to get through by itself--but having sung Marjorie right before and really feeling those emotions (she was fully crying during that first performance of Marjorie) would have, I imagine, made singing Champagne Problems, which was already going to be difficult, an even more vulnerable experience because it meant diving right into those raw emotions after having just experienced a very different but still very intense range of emotions during Marjorie. As a bit of a tangent, I wonder what rehearsals of the Evermore set leading up to the tour were like for Taylor. It's not likely that we'll ever know how she was feeling during that time or if those songs were just as hard to get through then too, but it would be interesting to know if the safety of the rehearsal space vs the vulnerability of having an audience made any difference or if it was just as raw in both settings. Regardless, I'm glad that it seems like the Eras Tour has given Champagne Problems the All Too Well treatment as far as Taylor's experience of performing it. It's good to see her enjoying it. Thus concludes my thesis writings on the night 1 Eras Tour performance of Champagne Problems. Lol.

Hi, Bonnie! I was just rewatching this video and doing some math alongside and I realized you included 22 songs from Midnights for the surprise song pool. However that is not correct since you have to take out the ones on the setlist, which will leave you with 15 songs from Midnights. Which only means more room for repeats 😊🙌🏻
