Best interviews/spoken content, in my opinion: Grammy listening sessions (insanely amazing), BBC Radio 1 interview w/ Fearne Cotton (serious and very interesting), Chatty Man interview (super fun), 2DayFMSydney clip (sexism), AOTY speech, 73 Questions, Graham Norton (secret sessions) Music video behind the scenes content exists for: Shake It Off (extensive), Blank Space (minimal), Bad Blood, and Out of the Woods Best performances: Grammy museum, 1989 tour, Nova Red Room (SIO/Wildest Dreams acoustic), BBC Live Lounge (SIO), AMAs 2014 (Blank Space), maybe Super Saturday Night if you want another long-form one (but pretty similar to the tour) Dislike: iHeartRadio Secret Sessions performances (actually, some of the speeches are really great, but the vibes are way off in the performances imo)

Guys I’m only half way thru but: her saying living in tones of grey, I love how she made the aesthetic match that by pulling the colour out of everything in the MV. The office scenes in the music video, and especially the last behind the scenes video, remind me so much of the "Please Don't Destroy" series of skits on SNL. The whole vibes and looks of the boss's son and the two seated behind her are so much the three sad losers. I almost wonder if the original idea for "Please Don't Destroy" came from this video. Also, "People throw rocks at things that shine" is an all-time great Taylor lyric, and captures the criticism she has gotten all these years so well!

Something you didn't notice, or isn't part of your everyday -- it is pretty obvious she took that job for the cash, possibly after he was deployed. A number of military spouses find it necessary, especially in the National Guard, where civil employment pays a lot better, but now you only have the military pay. At the bus station, she says something about the duration of a year. That was accurate at the time for the combat deployments (Marines did 6 month rotations). Yearlong deployments to the Middle East (Afghanistan, Iraq, support bases in Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia) became a staple not only for the regular military, but nearly every unit in the National Guard also ended up over there at least once. The deployments continued from 2001 to 2021. (National Guard are combination State militia and Federal combat reserves-- meaning, mostly line units; our Reserve units are combat support/maintainence and Federal)

I’m really going to miss the original “Taylor Swift” font. Also the reputation font. Those ones in particular are the ones that I’m most attached to more so than any of the other re-records.
