THISSSSS might have been our favourite weekend to re-fathom so far, there was SO much that went down this weekend it's actually wild to reminisce on. Hope you guys enjoy just as much!

Re: Labyrinth (though everything is up for interpretation) I’ve still been reading it as about Joe, but referring to the ups and downs of their relationship. If we are now fathoming that perhaps they were a bit on and off again over years, I think the “falling in love again, I thought the plane was going down, how’d you turn in right around” could be her going back and forth about whether to end it or stick with it (essentially debating whether she was falling out of love while they were together). That’s really the only thing that helps me make sense of the verses “You know how scared I am of elevators” (he knows her so well because of how long they’d been together), and “It only feels this raw right now” (perhaps one of the periods where she felt it was over, before she fell back into it). Apologies for the rant.

I think your comments about Taylor’s future touring are so right!! I think a tour every 2-3 albums makes a lot of sense. Also on another note I’ve been thinking about Taylor’s upcoming movie (remember that little side hustle she’s been planning?! 😂) and how she’ll probably create the most illegal soundtrack album for said movie and the thought has made me ILL!!!! 🤒😭

Yess SUPERIOR weekend!! This set the bar for everything really. I know we were sort of clowning for this night (because of 5/5, Phoebe’s first night and it being Nashville) but it was still the BIGGEST shock and surprise and I think that’s what I remember most just how overwhelmed and surprised I felt of how she announced it and everyone who got to witness it IRL and on Livestream. Iconic behaviour.

Superior!!! Emily, i also thought something happened with Matty, I felt it was a bit abrupt. One day she was in love, and the next day she broke it off and never to speak again. But, clearly he was not the one for her and we all knew that. This thing with Killatrav is so amazing to watch. I think we all see something different with this one. I really think this relationship will go pretty fast. they will not be dating 5-7 years before either getting married or going their separate ways, this is going to go quick imo.

I hate to tell you - football players don't pack out stadiums like her... the stadiums are always mixed teams mixed fans ... so Travis or any nfl persona has nothing on her.... Also NFL is VERY problematic in American culture. I would be careful about all the praise for him this early.... he is very triggering for many women... not to get too deep into it (because I know everyone will hate this idea) but many women struggle with the toxic masculinity and aggressive behavior of the football culture. Because of my job working with sexual assault survivors... we need not always celebrate the way someone holds her hand or acts protective. Those are often control signs. I am in NO way saying Travis is a bad person, I'm just hearing so many girls sadness that their idol who was always the outsider who was a role model of female success of creativity and art who didn't need to succumb to that expected toxic role.... it's complicated, it's a unique American thing - not many people think football or the players are good thing. I try to be empathetic to the whole thing. Let's not talk about her getting married ... she's only been with him a few weeks as long as Matty Healy...and she said she doesn't want that 1950s shit. Why does she have to be a one night or wife??? Why can't we just support her casually dating?? I think all this excitement is misplaced and alienating. Personally I'm here for the music and the critiques - thought I'd add a perspective that may not be heard. What we learn about how SHE feels we learn from what she says through songs or interviews - let's let it play out. 🕊️

For me Fifteen is so meaningful! Because I listened to it for the first time when I was 8 lmao and I wanted to be fifteen so bad and thought it would be just like the song. Then I grew up and was fifteen and experienced some of the stuff she talked about and had something to relate to and have the hopeful message of. And now I’m 23 and can look back on that song in the same way that older Taylor can look back on it AND HAS RE-RECORDED IT OMG UNWELL and I just think that whole experience with that song is so special

I am keeping my sister's dog while she's out of town this weekend, and the dog kept barking to go outside, so I paused this video and took her for a walk. When I got back and sat down in front of the computer, I had paused at 13:13. The universe understands its job!! I think the wristbands that aren't moving during the surprise songs are because those people are shooting video and trying to hold still. I almost talked myself into buying tickets for Nashville night 1, but decided the 6 hour drive and the ticket price was too much. Wrecked that moment for myself, I guess.

I agree with this. I think it's okay to be excited for her because we all love love and we want her to be happy. However, we need to step back and stop saying they are "end game" or he's the one and analyzing every move he makes as if he's so great. He's doing what he should be doing. It's like the bare minimum of how to treat a woman. I really like them together because I think he has a great personality, and he likes to have fun just like she does. But in the end, we don't know what goes on behind closed doors. We only know what we see on the TV. I hope that they do date a while and get to know each other really well before getting married, if they choose to do so.

Taylor actually did surprise songs in the 1989 tour, instead of You are in love she did surprise songs. I remember I got You belong with me in NYC. She also did B-stage songs in the Red Tour which were surprise song we just called it B-stage songs bc she performed them at the B-stage.

It’s still hard for me to fathom that I was at Nashville night 3!! I remember being so grateful to Taylor, the band, the dancers, the crew, Aaron, and Phoebe for being willing to wait out the storm then play in the rain until 2 AM. Also if you haven’t you should watch the Midnight Rain performance from that night. Midnight Rain at night in the rain hits different! 💙

I just listenned to a podcast where they said the same thing about touring, that the touring industry change so much and it'll never be the same! With what Taylor, Beyoncé and U2 are doing it's interresting. I really want her to give us a New record mainly because i'm nosy 😂 but i could see her put closure to her past self and Joe and leave the door open with this new rs and new success she has, that she'll explore more after Eras. I think that's too far back even for her. But reputation was the time where she really started to interact with her older albums and build this whole lore (specific colors, aesthetics etc) around them. So it was definitely a first domino in the direction of the eras tour

There are going to be so many that it might be too much for one documentary or one single album idk unless she breaks them down by era or something? But uploading them all to streaming and YouTube seems plausible.

I think she did the blue dresses for 1989 because by the end of tour all the betting that would happen about what outfit combos she would do was huge! It probably wasnt as big this early in the tour.. She literally is always keeping up with what her fans are doing and what they are talking about!

This was my weekend and this makes me EMOTIONAL. I was front row for night 2 and with all my gal pals for the rain show night 3. I just remember being in the front and seeing Matty Healy up there with phoebe and just freaking out!!! Also being in Taylor swift ponchos just waiting and praying she would still put the show on. I remember y’all posting your reaction to night two right after I got to the airport to fly home (it was like 1am Nashville time, 2am at home) and I RAN to the comments to talk about Out of The Woods because I was SO. HAPPY. I could talk about it with someone. I went to the show alone so all of my friends and family were asleep. That song made a mark on me the SECOND I heard it back in 2014 (I’ve been a Taylor fan since Fearless, but I was also a massive fun. fan who became a massive Bleachers fan, so hearing Taylor singing on what is essentially a Bleachers song blew me the fuck away) and has been in my top 5 overall since. So when she said the thing about the chorus repeating I started CRYING. AND I was in the front row at the end of the catwalk so she was RIGHT THERE. Oh my god. I died.

Taylor didn't start surprise songs on the Reputation Tour, she's actually been doing that since the Red Tour! 1989 Tour she kinda just chose the surprise songs from a handful of songs and a few random picks, she didn't sing a new thing every night, but surprise songs have been around since 2013!

I was at Nashville night 2 and the one thing the girls overlooked because they were laughing too hard at the Travis Swift thing is Taylor singing “I swore I was going to marry him one day but then I realized some bigger dreams of mine.” It was a whole moment in the stadium. It felt like Taylor took an extra long pause before saying the line and as soon as she said it the whole stadium erupted. It felt very raw and authentic.
