SWEETER THAN FICTION STANS RISE 🥰🫶🏻

Makayla

omg yayyyyyy!!!

IsolLazy

Got my dinner content shorted out! Thanks:)

Charlotte Venton

thanks for this reaction🥰 you guys should listen to maisie’s deluxe tracks from the good witch, they’re so much fun!!

Shyla Hoffpauir

Ahhhh yay 🫶🏻 Taylor works hard, my favorite Australians work hard 🥰

mieke

also jack antonoff stans rise!!

Patricia B.

both of you guys outfits and styles for 1989tv are just so good each video! i am lovinggggg

Joe Weaver

Please recycle, indeed!

Derick Mitchell Matthews

I don’t care what anyone say Style has been heightened to the Gods with that electric guitar riff and synth!! 🎸…and that Clean bridge with her stacking her vocals 🔥🙌 The only thing that I had a qualm with was Sweeter Than Fiction that for some reason always seemed like more of a Red TV track at first but I’ve def come around to it and plus we have the Bad Blood Kendrick version now (which I personally prefer)…Taylor is always keeping us nice and full so yes Swifties stop complaining!! 😉

Patricia B.

also thank you for that mini rant in the beginning of the video! i love style so much and i do agree it feels different (which is normal) but i don't get the hate it's receiving i've been listening to both versions and i love both of them dearly

Melinda Mascoll

I don't understand the hate AT ALL. These albums are being recorded for her to own her masters end of story. She gets to add whatever she wants to these albums to make them exactly the way she always wanted them to sound. She is picking what vaults she wants us to have and exactly how she wants those to sound - Say Don't Go didn't even have a sound just lyrics when it was written back then according to Diane Warren. This album was always suppose to feel like an 80s pop vibe and she made everything feel more like that with the sounds and the guitar intros etc and the vaults add that sound to it SOO much more it makes the album so cohesive i love it! It just makes no sense to me how anyone can come for her or Jack for that matter.. This is what Taylor wanted be grateful that we have this album with updated Taylor vocals and 5 new amazing songs! The level of entitlement some people have online is WILD to me i could never be like omg i love this album its my album HOW DARE you change anything on this album... get a grip people and just enjoy what she gives us.. GOSH

Kendrick and Taylor belong to such different parts of the music world, but funny enough Kendrick and Taylor are both known for their lyricism. His storytelling is incredible, and he’s also an incredible wordsmith, lacing each of his lines with alliteration and internal rhyme that truly boggles my mind. It makes total sense to me that Taylor would admire his craft, and I really appreciate the way she speaks about him.

Meech

Yes, GO OFF!! These re-records are for HER, not us! Hate that people are criticizing so hard when obviously Taylor loves the sounds/productions of the re-records enough to put them out into the world and therefore proud to own them!

Sam Briggs

I knew y’all were my people. Taylor literally co-produced all of the tracks and put out the record SHE WANTED. The audacity of people to be so ungrateful and publicly mean. Love you besties.

Ava Joyce

i would love to see kendrick and taylor collab again. something about their energy together is so fun and refreshing and this collab is simply iconic

Jason

SO right. After like 3 listens I already can't tell which version is playing, I'm always checking to make sure it's the Taylor's Version. And yes you can still listen to the old ones it isn't the end of the world, Taylor still gets royalties from that as well. Also I've seen some opinions about her old masters going around. I personally think she will eventually buy her old masters back, but that'll be some time well after the re-records are done. At the end of the day, those are still her art, and I can imagine she'd still yearn to own them. Plus, with the hundreds of millions of dollars she's making off the re-recordings and the tour, she can easily afford to buy them (i know she could before, but even more so now), and she'd likely get them at a discount since she's devalued the original masters herself. It would be kind of a genius cap to the whole saga for her to get the originals back for a pittance as one last fuck you, and then she and the fans get to enjoy ALL versions of her art. This wouldn't in any way make the re-records pointless. To me, the re-records will always have meaning because it reintroduced her older music to an entire new generation of fans and it's literally re-shaping the way labels operate in the industry.

mieke

i kinda love that NTWDT is so short and i also think the fact that it ends so abruptly is perfect because it's a great metaphor for the relationship itself. i guess they just stopped talking after she left on that boat and that was the end of it. it's a clever writing/production choice

Sam Briggs

Also, just wanted to say that I’m having a really hard mental health day and this video turned my entire day around. Thank you for all that you do ❤️

Katie K

I found something on tumblr re: the Max Martin stuff (it’s on cages-boxes-hunters-foxes) and apparently they did have a bit of a ‘professional disagreement’ over writing and production credits. He will not produce for artists who don’t offer him writing credits and she wants to be able to solo write at will of course. He will not share production credits either and she wants to be able to be labelled a producer on her re-recordings. Plus there is a rumour that the price he was asking her to pay him to come back was absurdly high and she was like ‘nah’ I can do it myself. Don’t know how much of that is true that’s just what I read! 🩵 I think she’s smashed all these re-recording out of the back anyway! Christopher Rowe has clearly been a perfect and very talented person for this project.

Katie LaFave

glitch was her shortest song at 2:28

Savvy

I don’t understand the hate. I think it’s fine to say you think something sounds different, but to be MEAN??? I personally love the new Clean, it’s BETTER. I love the new Wonderland, the new All you had to do was Stay…. They are such slays!! The only one I had a slight qualm with was Blank Space, when i first initially heard it… but realized it’s just a few differences, not anything wrong with it, just new. I had no idea there was a whole twitter rage, until I saw a few people say so on discord. People are getting too spoiled. Spoiled children out here.

Lynny Smith

Cannot agree MORE with all the comments about the re-records; it’s so upsetting to see how awful people can be when they have literally been handed a MASTERPIECE??? I cannnot stop listening to the re-records and 1989 is also my stan album, small changes are inevitable and perhaps to Taylor necessary 🤷🏼‍♀️

Shyla Hoffpauir

Bad blood remix production is giving rep tour vibesss and I love it 🥰

Clash Fan

I'm 3 1/2 minutes in and I have to stop and say "Thank you" to both of you. I don't participate in the twitter world as it's always seemed like little more than an excuse to be nasty. I have been on TikTok and I've seen the stupidity. There are way too many fans trying to be back seat driver's or arm chair quarterbacks would be two popular things Americans would call this. We do not get to dictate this woman's life. We are merely being allowed glimpses into it via her music. She is telling us a narrative and it's a clear one. There is a lot of backlash from the Gaylor's at the moment. There are also a lot of new fans that are trying to make content and negativity draws views and clicks. This is a very big fandom and not everyone is here for Taylor some are here for the pop culture moment alone. This is why I love this community so much. This album is so fun. I had such a blast driving around listening and singing along. "I Know Places" is a car belting experience. I also cannot get the melody of the chorus of "Suburban Legends" out of my head. I find myself humming it in my mind and it's not even my favorite of the vault songs. I'm having the best time with this album. I don't know what they are bitching about. It's as good as early Madonna or Wham's "Make It Big" album. Those literally define my teen experience and this album equals those IMO.

forevermore

I was on twitter from the day it started and I haven’t had an account in like 8 years now because of how frightful it is over there. Even on Reddit they talk about the twitter swifties being so scary & mean. I also don’t understand the hate it’s getting but I stay off social media and enjoy it on my own. The entire vault has been on repeat this week for me!

Katie K

Yes GO OFF girls on Twitter and everywhere else!! These re-recordings are clearly her babies and we have NO RIGHT to ungrateful for all of this amazing work she has been giving us. And we LOVE King Jack!! The ‘Swifties’ that are being all nasty and aggressive on Twitter are coming across like spoilt brats! I hate that side of things so much. This is why I ADORE our community here. It’s so warm and positive and much more in line with the fandom that Taylor has nurtured I think 🥰🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵

Sivan Moshe

My theory regarding the music video is that she'll release one in Argentina next week when tour is back

Joe Weaver

Whatever hate there is isn't showing up in any of the sales & streaming numbers. People get weird about these re-records. It's like they don't know what they want with them.

Hayley

Being a Taylor swift fan is supporting her! not ourselves, and 1989 tv is perfection, my fav vault song is, Is it over now! The bridge is just unreal 💗can’t believe she kept that locked away the little minx 🤣🤣

Jenny MacRunnel

I just don't understand some people...entitled is a good word for it. She's seriously doing THE MOST, and while there might be times you're a little disappointed in some decisions she's made, that's life! We don't always get what we want, and there's no way she could possible please everyone, so she just needs to do what's best for her and her career. I think 1989 TV is slay, I'm a super happy fan! I'm already used to the small changes in a few tracks, but the majority of them are even better to me! I hadn't listened to the voice memos yet, so cute! These made me happy. And Sweeter than Fiction was a great surprise, it sounds almost identical to the original!

Jenny M

1989 TV is the best rerecording to date, so why the hate on Taylor swift.

Courtney Graham

Preach! Taylor gives us so much! And the album was incredible! The vault tracks were amazing. You guys are always right!

Abby Thaine

People just need something to complain about! I love 1989 TV and the vault. Love that there are differences and that the vault has midnights production vibes because it makes them current for streaming and the charts. Also it’s just not that serious lol

Kimberly

The Bad Blood Remix is SUPERIOR!!!

Lisa

Even if you don't like a certain "change" in the re-records, there is no need to be disrespectful. Taylor isn't doing this for YOUR approval, she's doing it for herself. If you need a moment to adjust to new sounds, that's totally understandable. I need that too sometimes. But don't be nasty on the internet. Anyway, I know I'm preaching to the choir here.

Katie K

You know, with Sweeter Than Fiction, those lyrics really feel like something we should all be singing to back to Taylor 🥹🫶🏻

Tess7

I have so much to say lol First, let me pull the knife out of my heart after hearing Bonny say AYHTDWS could be replaced 🫣 Second- while I do hear some differences in certain songs, I will stream Taylor’s version always. After watching Emily for 3 years praise 1989 so hard (me too), then seeing her real reaction in the video- if the ultimate 1989 Stan is happy with the re-record, then so am I. Some of the songs are actually better to my ears. Third- people complaining about any of these re-records need to stop and remember- Taylor ACTUALLY gave us the TEN MINUTE version of ALL TOO WELL! She gave us a freaking movie along with it. She gave us more Lana on SOTB. If she wanted to change a guitar on 1989….I’m ok with it 😁

River

Just starting my watch and wanted to say this regarding the vault tracks and the production not always being consistent with the rest of the album: you know, part of the reason why some songs may be vault songs in the first place is that the production might not have been working or “right” back when the album was first recorded. Revisiting them years later gives a chance for a fresh take with the production and perhaps for the song to come together perfectly in a way it hadn’t before!

Leigh

now that we don't talk is 2:26!

Anjie Crow

Thanks so much for speaking out about the criticism she's unjustifiably receiving!! I've read several times that she LEGALLY CANNOT make the re-recordings sound exactly the same or she can face a lawsuit. My fear is that a lot of the re-records sound the same to me and that something bad will happen when all the re-records have been released. I sure hope that's not the case!

Candy

Agree with you on the meanness swirling in the fandom. Between the 1989 drama, the Jack drama, harassing the Kelce's, the Gaylors boycotting, taking over the chat in the New Heights podcast, and just generally making a pain of themselves...no wonder everyone thinks all Swifties are psycho. The crazies need to get their shit together before Taylor says to heck with all of us. This Patreon community feels like the last place I feel inclined to admit I'm a Swiftie. Thank God for you girlies!

Becca C

I was shaking my head in agreement with everything you said: if they don’t like the new recording they can EASILY go listen to the old one and they don’t need to make a scene of it

Marion

After she announced "this is my most FAVOURITE re-record I've ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can't believe they were ever left behind", hearing them now for the past few days, I've been underwhelmed.

Tess7

I agree! I was driving yesterday blasting every song lol I love your comparisons to Madonna and Wham

Clash Fan

Max Martin is a bit of an enigma. The man is entitled to have an ego with his track record. He might also not have been interested in recreating music, it's very different from creating. Taylor has also more than earned her right to have an ego about her music. It just sounds like a collaboration experience she is no longer interested in pursuing and she gets to make those calls. He also no longer works with Shellback and I have no idea why. It might be nothing more than wanting to do different things. There was a good documentary on the Swedish music scene that is probably the best insight into who Max Martin is. I think he shuns the limelight but enjoys being the "hit maker". It's an interesting mentality.

Katie LaFave

i know! glitch WAS her shortest

Brent

I just hope Sweeter Than Fiction TV doesn't get the I heart ?/You're Losing Me treatment and NEVER show up on streaming

Annie

so true. I have been so embarrassed by the swifties the past two weeks. I feel a talking to incoming at her next show.

Candy

Emily, I sure hope you've fallen in love with your hair by now, because I sure have!

Katie K

That’s fascinating! I’ll see if I can find it to watch. An enigma is a good word to use for him I think.

Austin Lay

We really need an updated Song Battle ranking from tumblr. So much has happened since then.

Ramon❀°。

listennn if I’m truly HONEST I do not care about swifties turning on her and hating her THE LESS TICKET COMPETITION THE BETTER 😈 😈

Ramon❀°。

It’s the Americans that are thick in the HEAD I need to be with my girlies in AUS😔😔

Richard

Always love this channel and completely agree with you on people critizing the vault tracks. I love all of them. This channel and channels like Steven Walker are the best because both are more positive channels. You celebrating on the outside, is me on the inside listening to Taylor. Keep up the great work.

RuthGA

to me 1989TV is perfect I think the production does take more than one listen to get used to, but once you do you also appreciate the mature, clearer, crispier production and vocals. I'm not sure what happened after FearlessTV but every re-record after Fearless has gotten these haters (for lack of a better word.) For some reason people have gotten it into their heads that it's because of Jack, but if they would only do their research they would realize Jack and Taylor have given us some of the best songs in her discography. I really love what she said about "Slut!" I'm from LA and the first time I heard the song I thought "omg I've got to play this while I'm driving on sunset blvd. until I reach the beach and then continue my journey with a drive along the coast as the sun is setting."

Ramon❀°。

I think the Ice Spice collab was TRULY a fumble imagine the other song possibilities 😭😭😭😭😭

Ramon❀°。

no why the FUCK would she say “ is it over now - like is the album over” if there’s not gonna be more songs on Deluxe how RUDEEEEEE!!

✨Bri✨

I don’t get the Jack hate either. To me his songs sound the most similar to the originals…like OOTW to me was the song that sounded the most similar. Also midnights is my favorite album so I clearly love Jacks production haha!

The Renn Domino Experiment

A true Swiftie will use their time and energy appreciating Taylor's talent, time, and imagination. If they don't like a song, that's fine. No one is forcing them to. Every Swiftie has at least one song from Taylor they don't like, which is to be expected. Complaining, demanding, and unfairly critiquing Taylor's music is not the Swiftie way, therefore they are not true Swifties. They want to be a part of something big powerful but they don't know how to act, they have lousy people skills, and they are hateful. A true Swiftie can spot another true Swiftie from a mile away. These chronic complainers are something else.

debra schane

I am just as frustrated as both of you. I first listened to the album with really good headphones and I didn't notice big differences. Then I made the mistake of going online and I felt as though I must have listened to the wrong album. Any differences only enhanced the songs. As far as Jack goes, I know they worked on some of her best songs but maybe they should take a break for a little bit. Things are starting to sound the same. We know Taylor goes online to see the fans reaction and I feel sorry for her reading what is being said.

Liam Mcfarlane

The only thing I don't love is the autotune on "Oh I remember" after the bridge in OOTW, autotune on the I-I-I-I's in I Know Places and the A-A-A-A-A-AH's in New Romantics but I'm not so offended by it that I'm going to start flaming them on social media demanding they change it. We've been used to 1989 since 2014, TV is just going to take a small adjustment period and soon everyone will forget what the stolen even sounded like 😂

Jaimie C

so when Taylor plays Is It Over Now? on tour, we're all expecting her to head bang, right?

Jaimie C

I do think a music video is coming at some point. Kind of like how ICSY mv came a little later for SNTV. Maybe she'll premiere it at her next tour date. I've had a blast with her release of 1989TV, googling her puzzles, the vault opening, the insane vault - 5 tracks is all that's needed after hearing them. 1989 is such a succinct album, i think she's letting it speak for itself and by all accounts it has been when looking at sales & streaming records. Also what a slay to do the bits she's done and have an album break records (set by herself). (I also wasn't around for the RedTV & FearlessTV re-records so I don't really have anything besides SNTV to compare to)

Celina Sharp

Hi ladies! I'm only 2:26 seconds in and I 100% agree with you!!!

Alina Jade

Ya’ll are looking so cute in this vid 😭😭

F1Swiftie

I don’t mind there not being any new MV. The lyric videos seem like music videos to me. The production on them is so much more than I’d expect from “just” a lyric video.

Lacey Morris

I agree with with Em and Bonnie. I love this re-record. The songs that weren’t me favorites sound better to me. Style sounds like the live version mixed with the studio version. I believe Christopher Rowe needs some credit. Love Jack! All too well (10 min) and songs like midnight rain. Come on!

Abigail Collins

hey girlies!! have you guys fathomed that “flashing lights” is paparazzi? like he was caught in public with other girls?

Celina Sharp

Today I saw a video on TikTok of this girl's breakdown of Is It Over Now and she made a connection to Clean. The lyric, let's fast forward to 300 takeout coffees later, so 300 days = 10 months! And in Clean she says 10 months sober/older!

Lizzie Page

I don’t know what it was said, but somewhere in the agreement of the re records states that the songs HAVE to sound slightly different from the original in order for Taylor to own them 🤷🏻‍♂️

Claudia

I completely agree, I haven't listened to the original 1989 in more than a year and I honestly couldn't tell the difference, only in Out of the Woods

Bobhog

I love your positivity! That’s what I’m here for. Truly, thank you for that!!! <3 (I wasn’t the happiest with the re-record, but this is the first time I’ve mentioned that in any sort of media platform. I’ll just listen to my og album on vinyl, it really isn’t deeper than that. It really makes me sad that the internet is so hateful/spiteful. Ironically, it would make me really sad if you didn’t like it, even if I don’t. I should probably talk to my therapist about that, but I appreciate the fact that I can come here and be happy! And that any sort of personal disagreement is handled with the purest respect! I appreciate you! <3)

Dara Sofia

No I totally get it!! People forget that this is TAYLOR’S version. Just like with Girl At Home, Taylor’s gonna make changes to the songs to better fit how she wanted them to sound now! The hate on Jack is incredibly unwarranted, yet they’ll applaud and praise their best hits. Really hypocritical. This cycle of Swifties hating on re-recordings because “they don’t sound the same” is tiring and should change. We should be grateful Taylor has the opportunity to own her masters AND that we get more content!

Bobhog

Although, as a rap fan I do get slightly triggered by the fact that you don’t value Kendrick as you value Taylor (perhaps jokingly, but my god Kendrick is theeeeeee GOAT and I will die on the hill of bad blood featuring Kendrick (you not acknowledging Kendrick is like people being like “Taylor who?” to me. It’s just wild. I do not fathom.))

M

Totally agree with you both on the hate the album has been receiving and Twitter is honestly just always a breeding ground for any kind of negativity. That being said though, I think wishing some aspects of the production/vocal performance were different doesn't mean you are no longer a fan and don't support Taylor's endeavour to own her work. Some of the louder critiques are definitely unfairly comparing the two versions, but I think many (including myself) just felt the essence of some songs was missing as a result of certain changes. Like the other re-recordings, fans just need time to get to know them, adjust to the differences and hopefully come to love them as much as the originals. Thank you for the video as always! 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵

Erica

I definitely think the new versions are nowhere near as good as the old ones, but that is because Max Martin is a literal genius and people don’t realize how difficult it is to create a song from nothing, and how impressive he is as a producer… it’s okay to realize producers can’t just replicate a song originally produced by him. But I’m definitely not going to go out on social media and bitch about it. My respect for Max Martin just grows!!!!🩵 Also I think I Know Places was made so much better on 1989 tv!! Haha🫶🏻 BUT that’s also because Ryan Tedder came back to produce it.

Reese

My brother is a huge Kendrick fan so he was surprised that he came back to re re-record for this because apparently he wouldn’t generally do something like that.

Can

Have never been happier to have never been interested in Twitter / X. Red got me interested and 1989 made me a stan. This re-recording is great. People need to chill out..

Joe Weaver

Glitch at 2:28 was the previous shortest song ever, btw.

Shawn

I personally think that Christopher rowe has done a bad job to the singles on 1989 (except ootw because he couldn't put his hands on it), also to the singles on RED taylors version. he has butchered those singles 😭😭😭😭

Shawn

I blame Christopher Rowe. but as for ootw that's all Jack

EricLeCuriste

Agree a lot of the hate comes from the gaylors being pissed at her statement and hypocritically hate on the musical « changes » instead

Jo

“But don’t forget about the night out in LA”

Simone

You guys talking about the flashing lights lyric in is it over now? I never considered it being like car headlights etc cos I took it to be like “dude how did you think I wouldn’t see you with all these other girls when there were literally flashing lights (aka paparazzi (also reminds me of I know places)) everywhere and now it’s all over the media like you knooooooooow I would be seeing this at least I kept all my nights private so it wasn’t in your face !!!!!!!!!”

ttpd-24

Between the Gaylors and crazy self proclaimed Stans that have nothing more to do than spread negativity Twitter and tiktok have been removed from my app list!!! I literally have insta and you girls!!! I appreciate the effort Taylor has gone to with the re-records, firstly for herself and then giving us something thru the vaults. I hate that she is scrolling seeing this drivel - everyone want her in her 1989 posting era, but like who would want to read the crap online. I have to say her fashion lately is freaking me out it’s like evermore but it’s not!!! Haha. Ladies I cannot wait for the Vault fathoming 🙏🙏 maybe we could get a quick 10min chatty hat before new leg of the tour starts, a quick fathom of the past couple weeks in Taylor’s world.

Clash Fan

I don't make suggestions often but there is a creator on youtube called Megan Maclaine. She's a writer and she approaches things from the aspect of them as a poem. She has limited info about who songs are about as well. The reason I mention this is her breakdown is more focused on teaching. Just a different viewpoint that helped me fathom these vaults on a deeper level.

raheel

I definitely think 1989 TV is the weakest re-recording so far. It is in my opinion not as strongly produced as we all expected. Changes are fine but Style TV is just poorly produced and I think it’s fair to say that and I also think swifties sometimes struggle to let critic be critic. We love Taylor and we will ride or die ♾️ but yeah I am disappointed with 1989 TV and I think we should be able to say that RESPECTFULLY THO!! No need for hate because we KNOW TAY SEES US!

raheel

Nevertheless SWEETER THAN FICTION TV SOUNDS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT THANK U JACK!!! Did u see her post for this?? 😭😭😭😭 BAD BLOOD FEAT KENDRICK has ALWAYS BEEN MY STAN SONG ON 1989 and my God they absolutely NAILED TV!!!!!!!!!!!! I was gagged

karisa

As a big Kendrick fan myself I’ve always loved (and lowkey preferred) the remix so to finally see them fathom this version and hear Bonny say “Kendrick Lamar is KENDRICK FUCKING LAMAR” ….. chills 😩💕

oski

superior

chatsandreacts

Did we not acknowledge Kendrick? I thought we talked about how iconic he is in this video? 🙏

Bobhog

YesYes! You absolutely did and I appreciated it!! I meant more in general. I was gonna change the comment, but then you cut part of his verse and I dramatically played up my heartbreak.

Bobhog

Perhaps acknowledging is the wrong word- it’s more of a “how are you not screaming over this?!” in an over dramatic way. I’m not actually triggered- sorry if the language barrier didn’t make that clear!

Aggi78

Sitting here, clapping for the first 4 minutes :)

Aggi78

Also, when people hate the re-recordings so much, i wonder if they want to go and see her live, bc that always sounds different than the "original"

Louise Petersen

I COMPLETELY AGREE! I was literally ranting to my friend yesterday that this isn't about us and that obviously Taylor is proud and happy with what she is re-releasing into the world and ITS NOT ABOUT THE SINGULAR PERSON LISTENING TO IT! I'm happy with everything she gives us because I know she puts her whole heart and soul into it!

Michelle Akin

I have to admit, on the first listen I was really taken back by the difference in Styletv and New Romanticstv. But after a few listens, I don't even hear a difference anymore and they sound SO much better to me!!! I think if people just gave the re-records an actual chance, they'd get it too. It's like they just want to be stuck in a place of ungratefulness

Elvia Kristoffersen

I like the Style version from 2014 better, but I'm not hating on Taylor. I'm just going to listen to the original version.

CamilleC

i was about to ask, will we have a breakdown of the vault tracks with all your thoughts?? and of course you are doing it, you two are a gift that keeps on giving !!

Jessica McMillan

Kendrick Lamar is really known for his incredible lyrical ability throughout his rap career. It’s a perfect collab crossover and the greatest remix of her career imo!

Patrick B

Now That We Don't Talk sounds like a Bleachers song, and I mean that in the best way

Ffion

Thank you guys so much for that conversation at the start - I literally cried when I heard Style for the first time because it was so perfect I didn’t know how to deaaaaal! As soon as I saw people on tiktok hating it I got so frustrated like for me this re recording made me fathom the whole album so much more ! Can’t even begin with the vault tracks they’re utter perfection 💖 definitely staying away from twitter atm !

Elizabeth Drake

The first time I heard the rerecord, I did have to get used to certain things, mainly Style TV, not because it was bad but because it was different! And I know the stolen version so well, so naturally it was an "oh" moment upon the first listen. But now, after listening to the album 5000 times in a row, I LOVE IT. It's LITERALLY still the same song and it hits in a new way! The BASS? Help. Honestly I think it sounds more 80s inspired than the original! It's all about getting used to a "new soundtrack" (badum tss) and the hate is extremely uncalled for. People really need to go out and touch grass, and realize what a GIFT this rerecording (and all of them so far) have been. I have never been so well-fed by an artist in my life.

Meg A.

Hearing Taylor’s Version, I fathomed this album in a whole new way. I never considered the 80’s sounds / inspiration! I’m happy for Taylor that this is how she wants it to sound, if she wanted it to sound like the stolen version, she would have made it that way. The beauty of the rerecordings is that she gets the final say on everything, including the production. I respect it.

Nadia Thew

THIS RE-RECORDING IS PERFECT SORRY💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

Kristin

I’m not sure if you two mentioned and I’m forgetting, but if it’s not planned, please react to the LYRIC VIDEOS! I haven’t watched yet but saw praise of Clean TV’s lyric video. Just watched and immediately thought: I NEED TO SEE EMILY AND BONNY REACT TO THIS!!!!! 😂 And now I’m immediately sitting down to watch them all. I heard most are the 1989 Tour visuals. I Know Places TV lyric video was mentioned as another good one (one of my fav songs from the album, so I’m starting there and going back through each one from the start, but had to come comment first 😂) . Even if you don’t get to react on camera, I hope you get the chance to watch them!!!!! 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵

Madison

sorry but this re-recording is actually the greatest and the most OFFENSIVE VAULT YET!

Julieta

I think we should respect each other’s opinions, whether you loved or not loved so much 1989 tv. I personally did not love it mainly because my brain didn’t react the same way to the instruments as the original/stolen one. In general I gravitate more to instruments than lyrics and I tend to have a very visceral reaction to music. Music has saved my life and been there when nobody was. And again, it’s fine to feel either way. Another aspect of the the 1989 re-recording for me, is that Taylor is such a powerful evoker of female feelings that you can tell in her voice when she’s in the thick of a situation (or recently come out of one) and her recordings benefit greatly from it. I think that’s also why I couldn’t feel her really present. I’m a new swiftie and as I’ve entered this fandom as an adult, I see that it’s difficult to criticize Taylor’s creative choices because it seems to me taken as a hateful thing. I hope this doesn’t come across that way, I really like it here and like you guys :) Lots of love from an argentinian girl living in Spain 🇦🇷🇪🇸😉👋🏻

Morgan Sanderson

I recommend every Swiftie go watch Knox Hill’s Bad Blood reaction. He breaks down Kendrick’s part in a way that I had never fathomed at all

Miantsa

I agree. I think constructive criticism or simply voicing your opinion, even if negative, is totally valid. I personally was disappointed about this rerecord originally but honestly it was an impossible mission to live up to the original version so as much as I tried to have no expectation, it was still my stan album. I also think that some swifties need to understand the difference between saying you don’t like the creative choices made, some of the lyricism in some songs or the production and mix decisions, and actually being a hater. I feel like sometimes, some fans think if you don’t like EVERYTHING an artist does, you’re a hater. I think it’s good and Healthy to be able to have your opinion. For the rerecordings I am and was not expecting things to sound Exactly the same, obviously. However, it’s still okay to not like some things that were done. That being said, even if I was disappointed and quite frankly annoyed by some things, I DO NOT condone, or agree with people saying hateful things. There’s a line to draw here. If you’re a fan of her or her music, why are you being disrespectful? Anyway. The rerecording and the Vault HAS GROWN SIGNIFICANTLY on me over the days and week we’ve had with it. Although I have some strong issues with some parts, I agree that overall, it’s a successful rerecording in that it succeeds to steer people away from the stolen version (for the most part).

Daisy Ramirez

I find it funny how they couldn't get the production right back then, bc to me, "Now That We Don't Talk" is SOOOOOO Bleachers coded. (If you haven't listened to Bleachers music, pls do.) Taylor on a Bleachers sounding song is fucken iconic!!!!! I loved it from first listen 😭🫶

Miantsa

I think a lot of people misunderstand the Blank Space comment in the voice memo. I don’t think she’s saying it came down to Slut vs Blank Space and Blank Space won. I think Blank Space was an obvious add to the tracklist, because as we know this was her easiest song to write as she had many of the lyrics already written for years at that point. But when it came down to cut down and choose what to put on the album, they went with the ones that worked with the overall story and that did not repeat themes (hence her comment on the NYC vs California vibes). We see that in the song choices for the deluxe versions as well. We’ve also seen it with the previous rerecordings. Many of the Vault tracks are songs that were essentially very similar to songs on their respective OG albums topic-wise, or just too out of place story-wise, so they were cut out. I’m so glad we get to hear them now tho, OF COURSE! ❤️

Dorka

thanks for saying all of this. I think the issue of also some sort of pressure because there are some swifties who act like you need to die if you ever even touch the stolen versions. I think it's okay to have preferences and be disappointed but also not going on a hate ride on social media.

Leonara McNeal

I try to promote positivity and kindness on Twitter. ❤

Lu

Obsessed w emily's hair and top in this

Grace

may be unpopular but i would love if zayn came back for IDWTLF…or even him being on a vault track would be so iconic and fitting for him i feel

Julieta

That’s exactly what i thought 5 seconds into the song the first time that I heard it. Now, with all the exposure over social media, I hear Taylor, but yeah, Bleachers totally.

Craig

You have built an amazing community and I love the positive vibes you always bring in your videos, everyone here is very respectful and can have differing opinions without being rude or disrespectful. Please never stop doing what you do or feel you have to change to appease people. I have no problem with the critisim or people being disappointed but I often feel a lot of people overreact just for attention or to be different, especially on certain social media, a lot of it is not constructive and just very negative! I am personally happy with the rerecording and after more listens it has grown on me even more, but of course i can accept that there are a lot of subtle changes and that some people may not like them - Although I would recommend for anyone to give it time before dismissing it or saying its been ruined.

Madison Sturdevant

I loooove the subtle differences!!!!! I can’t believe anyone’s mad about anything 1989 TV is PERFECT 😅

Juliana Martinez

it’s the taylor swift effect after all! - the more you listen, the more you grow to love things you didn’t the first time around

Alyssa Kay

I love Sweeter Than Fiction!! Of all her movie soundtrack songs this one is my favorite and I think I would put it in my top 25 Taylor Swift songs 💙💙

Bec P

Would love to see a current ranking of all vault songs from the TVs or a top 10 ranking

MarkH

Yes, this is just general copyright law. You can never make an exact copy of anything and sell it, unless you own the copyright. She has the copyright to the songwriting, so she can re-record, but Shamrock has the copyright to the recording, so she can't copy it.

MarkH

Yes, you can't sell an exact copy of something that someone else owns. She can re-record but she can't copy

Fahmeen

I’m not gonna lie I was super disappointed by a few songs on 1989 TV but the more I listen the more I get used to them! My only criticism with the vault tracks is that she didn’t explore any other topics 🫤 I just thought there would be more blank space- esque songs or about new york or friendship or something

Fahmeen

Me too!! Their voices worked sooo well together on the track

Fahmeen

Gigi and zayn seem to be in a good place and are just coparenting khai so idk if that would be an issue. He just talked about it recently on a podcast and said they’re doing good. I love zayns vocals on IDWTLF so I hope he comes back 😭

Miantsa

I totally understand and agree on your point about the Vault! But I think that actually makes more sense because it explains why they were cut off from the original album and deluxe versions. I like what Bonny was saying, it didn’t fit with the image and narrative Taylor wanted to focus on after RED, so she did not include those More intimate and romance-focused songs (there are love songs on og 1989 of course, just not as vulnerable or ‘lovesick ‘lovelorn’ using Taylor’s words 🤭) to me, this all shows just how PERFECT of an album 1989 is 👌🏽

Miantsa

THIS 💯💯

Arrow

You two talking about how she wanted to be seen as mysterious and cool reminds me of "You were flushed with the currency of cool/I was turning out my empty pockets" in Suburban Legends

F1Swiftie

Since Apple Music didn’t work for me when everything was released, I heard everything first by watching the lyric videos. They are so good and I’m glad now that Apple Music didn’t work.

F1Swiftie

I watch hers because I like that she’s doing more of a literary analysis, which is what I like to see.

F1Swiftie

In my playlist I made for Midnights, I replaced Snow On the Beach with the more Lana version, but kept Ice Spice over on my “singles and features” playlist. I generally don’t like remixes either, but the Jack/Bleachers Anti-Hero remix I put at the end of my Midnights playlist. I think of it as the bubbly one - something with the sound at the beginning makes me think of bubbles.

F1Swiftie

I wish I could put an emoji or gif here because and giggle emoji

F1Swiftie

I am probably one of the older people of this channel (I’m 46). I still have a huge Pampers box of CDs in my closet that I loaded onto my computer years ago so I could then put them on my phone. I have an Apple Music sub, but I still buy the music outright that I want to keep forever, including Taylor’s. I recently bought an old Mini Cooper that has a CD player. I bought Taylor CDs that I didn’t have to listen to them in that car, so I have physical copies of all OG versions and TV. I am not primarily streaming anything, so if I want to listen to an older version, I do. What I am trying to get at with this: is the big issue people have with listening to older versions because they only access them through streaming? Like I understand supporting Taylor with the new ones, but are some having absolute fits thinking they can no longer (morally) listen to the older ones EVER so they want the new ones to sound exactly the same? (I hope this was an understandable explanation and question). It’s the same question I have about the songs that aren’t on streaming services. I listen to YLM bc I bought the single download from the merch site and added it to my phone.

MarkH

I'm older than you! I think people want to feel that they are supporting Taylor and not putting money into the hands of the people who own her old recordings, so, yes, it is all about streaming. However, an individual stream makes so little money that, even if you streamed Taylor all day every day, you'd be lucky if she got 20 dollars out of it in a year. So, as usual,it is about the feelings, not the facts.

Meghan Carty

I am not musically inclined enough to notice the differences that people are complaining about, but I do find it interesting that she's continuing to work with Christopher Rowe past Red, since almost all of his production experience is with country music. That's quite a leap to 1989. She must really trust him, but I'm curious as to her decision making about that and I wonder if he'll do Rep as well. Anthony/theneedledrop discussed the production really well in his review of the album and it definitely made me think about it more!

Mex

i'm 53 and i love the rerecorded versions, but i bought a reputation vinyl this spring so i have the original of my favorite album. i'm sure i will love rep tv, but i love the album cover of the original and just wanted to own it. as has been pointed out, taylor never told people not to listen to her original music. and now that scooter doesn't own her masters anymore, no one is giving him money by listening to the old ones. i think people should just listen to the original if that's what they like best, but respect that taylor wanted her new recordings to sound the way that they do. i personally like to see her musical growth and love her mature voice on every song.

Mia Morgan

I barely notice the sonical differences on here, not in the way I did with many songs on Red! People are just too picky for their own good at this point...

Kristin

So good! “Wonderland” visuals are otherworldly.

F1Swiftie

I think the TV project has evolved. At first, she made Fearless TV as close as possible to the original to devalue the original. Now that it is proven that the TV are just as/more popular than the originals, she can loosen that up a bit. It comes down to control over commercial rights. Devaluing the OG makes the TV more likely to be desired by television/movie/advertising productions. Taylor has ownership over the songs always as songwriter, but the recordings are what she needs ownership over. With both, she determines where and how her music is used. Streaming numbers show the popularity of the re-recordings, which then translates to desirability of use. Those production companies won't have the upper hand on negotiations by saying the originals are worth more. They do not have an option to use original recordings, but they could have haggled over how much to pay her since TV is not the originals. So streaming does matter, but not as much as people think it does.

alex

Maybe I’m the only person to say this but for me Style TV hits different in the best way possible.. literally can’t stop listening to it since the TV came out.. i like it even more than the OG and I’m a swiftie since speak now era (the first one) so I’m very used to the stolen version and loved it very much.. I think the bass and the melodies with her matured voice hit even harder.. The hate makes me so sad and I have to be honest, I unfollowed so many so called fan pages from swifties, because they were so mad and so disrespectful and honestly so wrong in their arguments.. knowing that Taylor could see this makes me emotional, because it’s just not fair. If you don’t like the TV (or some songs of it) just listen to the stolen version if that’s for you, but do not get personal and stay reasonable!

alex

Also have to add: I’m just so happy this is such an positive place!🩵

Renée

the start of the vid is so valid and a lot of 'Swifties' need to hear it, I totally agree people are becoming entitled and sometimes forget that she wouldn't do this process if she didn't have to.

Laura R

The only production that threw me for a second was Style, and I feel like I warmed up to it very quickly; it was just an adjustment. I felt that the production on most of the 1989TV tracks was elevated. (I cannot stop listening to OOTW and I Know Places; I also fathomed AYHTDWS for the first time, which I thought Emily would be proud of.) I think Christopher Rowe has done an INCREDIBLE job; like I actually don't know how it's possible that he's doing what he's doing to recreate and elevate these tracks. I'm not super vocal on social media, but, knowing what some of these conversations are looking like online, I wish there was a way to communicate to Taylor and the team that there are so many of us out here just quietly listening to and LOVING the re-record.

Eliza

ughh guys i LOVE being a swiftie HERE on patreon because i feel like its gotten so negative and toxic on tiktok and instagram towards her re recordings im kind of over it i just love it HERE.

Eliza

and blankspace was a cultural reset omg

Guy Whiteman

Hello girls! New Patreon member here 😊 I guess where to start; I’ve never been the hardest Swiftie (I mean it’d be hard for me to compete with you two!! 😊), but I have always appreciated Taylor’s work (be it production, lyricism, work ethic, drive and love for her fans) from afar including what used to get played on the radio or was popular in the public eye etc. but 1989 was the first of Taylor’s albums that I listened to from start to finish. Whilst I appreciate Taylor’s country work, country music can be hard for my ADHD to fathom 😂 so with the knowledge that 1989 would be her first pop album, I thought why not start here? I’ve always been intrigued to watch reaction videos in general on YouTube and one day last week, I stumbled upon you two girls and instantly fell into a TS rabbit hole of watching all your reactions on YT. Now for me, if I was to categorise my sound, I would be a Reputation Swiftie. And listening to your album breakdowns, finding more out about the BTS of Taylor’s work, also the love for Jack you girls have and understanding T&J’s personal and working friendship through you guys, it has been a dream! I look forward to dive further into the rabbit hole with you guys, learn more and more and hopefully dip my toe into Taylor’s earlier work through her re-recordings, maybe once TS:TV comes out, I’ll start from the beginning of her discography. But I’m too in love with Rep, 1989 and Midnights to leave those albums alone as they match the musical genre I love so much. There are a few albums like Lover, Folklore and Evermore that I have yet to listen to in their entirety, and albums like TS, Fearless, Speak Now and Red that I haven’t heard either (like I said, other than what was popular on radio etc.) (I’m probably getting a few WTFs from anyone reading this) but like I said; one day 😊 anyway thank you for having me and including me in the community. I must say in ending this message to you guys, within this past week of discovering your videos, I seem to have adopted some of your vocabulary into my everyday like SUPERIOR and ILLEGAL!! 😂😂 so thank you so much for that 🫣♥️ much love to you both and to all other Patreons, glad to be here as a Swiftie noob! 🤓✌🏻

✨Bri✨

I just have to say: I was watching your Stick Season reaction and my 2 year old came over and saw you two and he said “Taylor Swift” over and over. Haha so even though it wasn’t even a TS video he just knows your faces and that you are my Taylor Swift girlies ☺️.

V. Babida

I don’t know if you ladies have ever listened to the podcast “Every Single Album” on Spotify but they breakdown/react to all of Taylor’s albums and they mentioned something during their 1989 TV reaction and I was reminded of it when you mentioned the re-recording order — she dropped 1989 TV clues and then out of nowhere dropped midnights, they fathomed that maybe she was so inspired by the vault tracks she was creating with Jack for 1989 that it led to midnights and she had to pivot bc she was just too excited about the new tracks so maybe that’s why we ended up needing to wait for 1989. It feels like it makes sense simply bc why did she sprinkle in this love and wildest dreams 2 years before the actual release? Definitely food for thought!!

V. Babida

I was definitely expecting her to go WILD for 1989 TV release, but having her be more silent and laid back makes a lot of sense - OG 1989 was MASSIVE and she promoted the hell out of that album and put out so many singles and videos so it makes sense for her to be more chill for the re-record. So far it seems like she’s going more ALL OUT for the albums that she feels didn’t get the full love & appreciation (*ahem* RED TV) they deserved which is why I feel REP TV is gonna be HUGE and we’re not even remotely ready for what she has in store for us - I really feel like this weekend of tour shows is gonna be absolutely unhinged - something big is coming.

V. Babida

Same!!!! I love this outfit so much! Em, you look absolutely offensive!!!!!! Living for this short hair era!!!

chatsandreacts

I’m crying reading this 🥹 WELCOME Guy!! 🫶🏼 thank you for taking the time to fill us in on your new Swiftie journey, we are SO HAPPY you’re enjoying the videos and so glad to have you here as part of the community 💓

chatsandreacts

LOVE YOU BESTIE!! I’m glad we can bring some positivity 🥹

chatsandreacts

and we’re so happy to have you here bestie 💓💓

chatsandreacts

Oh slay!!! I’m happy to hear they’re doing good 🥰

chatsandreacts

We defs wanna do this but can’t decide if we are best to wait until we have rep and debut as well!

Fahmeen

That’s definitely true!! 1989’s original track list was perfectly curated and well thought out

Cinetati

Deleted twitter a few months back and really happy about it... Also I agree with the hearing the difference at first but easy to get use to!! Anyway as always thank you for the video <3

Cinetati

Also I wonder if she's waiting to be back on tour to give us music video and all....

Alyssa Malecha

It annoys me sooo much that people say “this doesn’t even sound like the rest of the album” about the vault tracks. Like there is a reason it was initially left off the album. Especially for an album like 1989 where Taylor’s main goal was for it to be sonically cohesive. I think it’s so beautiful that we now get to hear songs that almost made the album without Taylor having the pressure of making the album sonically cohesive 🩵

Alyssa Malecha

Not sure if you guys know but Kendrick’s line “all my life I got money and power” is a line from his song Backseat Freestyle which Taylor posted herself lip syncing to when she found out 1989 went #1

Laura (in my eras era) 🫶

Bonny I actually gasped when you said AYHTDWS could be swapped out omg 😱🤣 NEVER!!! Emily I stan with you 🫶

Kash Creations

I can't wait for the vault breakdowns but the thing I'm most curious about is are we watching the 1989 World tour?

chatsandreacts

yessss!!! it'll be our next youtube upload 🤗 we have already filmed x

Kash Creations

AHHHHHHH WE WILL BE WATCHING 🍿🍿🎊

Eliza

LOVE U GUYS!!!

Hailey&Madison_h

i feel like the question from the song question is “is it over now” and i love how the song question samples out of the woods and how the bridge of is it over now references the out of the woods bridge

Mikayla Tudor

Literally came to say this, they are in the vault for a reason! Especially when the point of this album was to be sonically cohesive.

Curt Decker

We love your rants lol, thank YOU for ranting babes

Shona Marks

Love all of your comments ❤️ keep up the great work/videos... I love all of the content that we are receiving from our Queen Taylor Swift 💕

Takara

Think about when/if you’re gonna want to do another reranking of ALL her songs (which makes sense to do after all rerecordings to see what has changed with TVs and vaults)

Taylor B.

Yes! I get so annoyed when people complain about re-records because the originals still exist. Every time a TV releases, I make a new playlist synthesizing the best of both records and just listen to that. Nobody, least of a;l Taylor, is saying pretend the originals don’t exist. This project is about devaluing the stolen versions, reclaiming ownership of her work, and perhaps most important logistically, owning Scooter free versions of her songs for the purpose of licensing for film & TV. Nobody is forcing you to listen to a version of a song you love that sounded different.

Sarah Silvester

i don’t know if anyone has fathomed, but i realized a couple years back that the instrumentation/production of the bad blood remix is the instrumentation that taylor uses on the rep tour and eras tour when singing bad blood. you can hear it that big bass drop and the added electric guitar part!

gail

to me, the flashing lights in the IION bridge are referring to paparazzi shots of him with his new conquests, maybe a nod to i know places “lights flash”, “out here in plain sight” but with a new girl. he’s out there so obviously rubbing her nose in it but she had the decency to go about her rebounds discreetly.

Nin Reckermann

Back to the Future (Taylor's Version)

Nick S

I always wondered why Kendrick was co-opting some of his own lyrics for a TS song. This would make sense! Interesting!

Kate Harney

I feel like 1989 and TTPD are sister albums. Like they were probably recorded during similar times. Some of the Harry digs are feeling more Mattie coded now.

emma Yun

history will remember this rerecord and these vault tracks as some of the best most long lasting songs

Annika 📍Melb, AU

Not weather-woman Emily being obsessed with a weather lyric 😂🤩
