I had two thoughts about the very first night - one, she misses him like it was the end of the very first night, once they were apart again and it had been so wonderful and she just wants to be back together. Two, I was thinking about the phrases in other songs like 'we were built to fall apart' and 'I can see the end as it begins'. Almost like she already missed him, even then, because she knew it wouldn't last. In TVFN she also talks about a time before knowing it wouldn't work out. So it could also be that she misses him the way she did then, when she thought it might work out, and missing him didn't have the kind of trepidation of knowing they wouldn't work.

Everything with Travis got blown up so much in the media, and I’ve been noticing a lot more people getting annoyed with her lately online and in real life, very similar to how things got towards the end of 1989 era. I know she’s spoken about being cautious of overexposure, and I think she definitely breached the threshold of overexposure in October, which is a dangerous place to be for her. I kind of wonder if she had more planned for 1989 TV (especially for slut, considering the all the lyric hints leading up to 1989 TV, as well as the single art and everything) and I wonder if she decided to scrap the plans in order to just keep it cool? It doesn’t seem like she would scrap a whole music video to avoid overexposure, but I don’t know, maybe she doesn’t think it’s worth releasing, especially since it’s not preforming as well as some of the other vault songs?

Here Aug 20 after TS12 is announced. Rep is not dead. I know she will release remaster and vault some day. Now that she is Max Martin and Shellbackung, I know she can’t improve on her perfect OG Rep but will release a superior vault.
