I am with both of you on this: a reputation (TV) announcement is not in my soul yet. 1989 was my most looked-forward to re-recording, and I still haven't started to move on from it yet! One thing that I'd like to point out though is that Taylor has been re-releasing albums every 112 days since the tour began: 112 days after 3/17 was 7/7, which was when Speak Now TV came out; 112 days after that was 10/27, which was 1989 TV; if we continue that pattern, the next re-recording should be out February 16th.

Here is what I would truly love: 1. Tomorrow Taylor announces the Holiday TV to be released on her birthday. 2. There is no announcement for RepTV at all. Instead, she just drops it in February. “There will be no explanation; there will just be reputation.” No warning, just a midnight release while she watches the world spread the news. However, I do think there are strong theories for a RepTV announcement tomorrow, so… 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think the coolest part of the fandom is everyone has their favorites and when I might be disappointed by something someone else might be ecstatic! The best part is even the songs I don’t like as much are still superior 🥰 On my first listen, Tolerate It went straight into my soul and I NEVER in a million years thought it would ever be played live. I cried the first time I heard it when evermore dropped. I cried at the Eras Tour movie, and if I ever make it to the actual tour I will most likely sob. If you have felt the feelings in the song the cycle is just too much!! The trying to be perfect and make it all right but it’s never enough. Realizing this and fantasizing about leaving, knowing you are strong you can do it. But the final punch is when that last line hits and they stay in the situation (I sit and watch you- after that powerful bridge shouting I deserve better, I know my worth) you will ultimately stay. trying and trying to change it even though you know your efforts are futile. This is a rant. I apologize. Tolerate means so much to me and I never in a million years expected to get to experience it in any way beyond the album. 🩷

HOWEVER: you know how rep came out of nowhere back then? Safe and Sound was a big loss for me actually. Taylor releasing songs for The Hunger Games is forever one of the best things ever because it’s a crossover of my two favourite fandoms of all time. I just had a thought. My logical brain is now rejecting an announcement tonight. These re-record releases are planned out a zillion years in advance. LA was an optimum place to announce 1989 TV. Having already performed at Sofi she already knew the audience, it would be easy to send a team to scout out all of the details in advance, and maybe it’s a small thing but she could also count on the weather. Brazil was new for her, a big distance and kind of an unknown. I could see Tokyo, although it’s winter there. Sydney maybe, but Sydney already had a whole tour recorded there. Like maybe she would spread the love around. Which brings me back to North America. 🤡🖤🐍

Not me opening the comments to write about safe and sound n seeing my own comment first 💀 It’s like Emily said, it came out right after speak now, speak now title track &ybwm had defined my early elementary school life but I didn’t have enough access to the internet to know more than those two. I was in fourth grade at a Taylor swift birthday party and the activity was to act out one of Taylor’s songs and make a music video, safe and sound got assigned to my group. I hadn’t seen the movie and I was like wtf is this beautiful song & I’ve never been the same sinceee Honestly it’s so lovely the way Taylor shaped so many of our childhoods

I went to that concert! It was so good, I was able to spend the ENTIRE YEAR without watching the full show so it was ALL a big surprise to me, I knew the setlist but didn't know that so many songs were so short, like illicit affairs... and I liked the surprise songs though I was ready to jump and they were very chill. I wish I had smt like better than revenge but it was okay.
