Omg, your story about filming with your classmates. Your experience in school sounds exactly like mine, I got emotional right along with you lol. Im so happy you feel comfortable sharing this stuff with us, it helps me feel a little less alone.

Tanvi

Really enjoyed the video format!

Ingela Barton

This was a wonderful hour spent with Cheyenne. Love you, Mom Love the format, with all hand and hair gestures 😘

This was such a lovely surprise! Totally understand recording just audio for when you don't want to be perceived. But this video format was such a comforting companion to start my day ❤️

I feel you on the nostalgia thing- im about to graduate from art school and ive been feeling nostalgic about the past lately, Im guessing it’s because I am about to enter a new chapter of my life- some of my friends are feeling the same way, it’s kinda nice seeing that we are all going through that at the same time. The Secret History is such a good book !!! I loved it so much. I really want to try to get back into reading as well, and I found this booktuber named The Book Leo, very cool vibes I really recommend her! Also !!! So mad about those classmates you mentioned. I recall in middle school being very confused about people being mean to each other as « friends » But i also wanted to add that your content is not less interesting at all then it was a few years ago ; i love seeing you grow as an artist and person online, and to me you’re just becoming cooler and cooler ehe ✨

Girl, idk how you could have less viewers/comments than you used too. I’ve been watching you for over 6yrs and your content has always brought me such joy, and it brings me even more joy every year to see you grow into yourself. I can’t express how happy your streams make me, and honestly all of your content, (I get so excited every time I see you post something ☺️) I become a patreon early last year and have been so happy to see and hear about your life and see all your art, it truly inspires me so much!!! Sending lots of love to you!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I listened to the first few minutes audio only yesterday then waited for the video bc I liked this so much better! Pod is great too but it reminds me of your old old videos which were like a little heart to heart. We’re the same age so I def feel you about the turning 30 weirdness. I always thought I wouldn’t be affected by it but there’s so much that’s coming up and so much nostalgia!

also ps. will forever support you no matter what!! being self employed is wildly vulnerable and scurry in that wayyyy where we just literally need to keep creating / doing the do and trust that everything will be okay and that the universe is on our side ;-; phew!

Skylar Zemmer

i like the streaming/vid specs breakdown in the beginning. super interesting to hear about everything that goes into it. i understand the nostalgic blues. the passage of time is weird.

Maya

Okay not you sounding almost exactly like Dodie???? I don't listen to her much anymore but was obsessed with her music while I was in college so I could always be misremembering her voice....

Em

Love the video format!💜

dodie deffo has a more delicate quality to her voice now that feels almost impossible to replicate, but i will take this compliment regardless heh

i loveeeee this format! thankyou for sharing :)

i love this format and this whole podcast. i’m out here getting emotional with you 🥺 i get what you’re saying about houston. i left kansas city area (where my family and friends lived) and moved out to seattle as well thinking my life would be so magical and different. i do love many aspects of this city and my life here, but i also only have single connections rather than a group and it feels somewhat isolating. i feel like i finally understand the meaning of that saying “the grass is greener on the other side.” fomo is soooo real. but this year i’m really striving to be more content and live intentionally and cultivate that homey feeling by surrounding myself with a group of like-minded people 🥰 i hope you’re able to find a little group in your current area who gives you that same feeling!! also, i have always found so much comfort and joy in watching your content through the years and hope you know that your yt/instagram/etc. still brings me this feeling. i’m entering my late 20’s and i feel like, as a viewer, i’m growing alongside you and your content in the best way. thank you for your continued hard work and effort and love you put into everything you create, and know that your viewers are wholly supportive of you!! 💖

I really loved the video format and I was able to get so much done while listening to you! I just recently read both the secret history and if we were villains. I think you are going to really enjoy if we were villains! If you ever find any other books that have the same feel as those let me know because im desperate for more!

Amy

This was so lovely, thank you for sharing and being vulnerable with us 🥺 The story about filming with your classmates was so upsetting! :( I have also struggled all my life with not wanting to feel like a burden and take up too much space, so that really resonated with me. I feel you on not having a strong friend group but rather little islands of friends - it's like that me for me too. I'm grateful to still be close to my high school group but we're spread out now and I have more one-on-one friends in my city. I appreciate those friendships too but there is less of a sense of community and I'm still trying to find it. I also wanted to express how thankful I am to have found you. I've been following you since 2016 and you've inspired me so much in my own journey. Your art, videos and streams have been such a comfort and joy over the years and I just think you're such a wonderful and warm person!! It's been so cool to see you grow and evolve, thank you for all the love and care you put into everything 💖 Oh and Babel is incredible and I'm so excited that you're going to read it!!

Klarisse Gepilano

Absolutely enjoyed your breakdown of Evangelion!! LOL Also, sending love as a stranger and fan over the internet. I can relate so much to having those single connections vs a constant "set of friends" <3

Mallory

I love having the video option when you are able to do it! As soon as you mentioned anime and hobonichi I switched over then went back to the podcast ✨ lol
