April Patreon Update - The Throwback Update (Patreon)
Content
No tricks here! For April, we’re going back and revisiting some of our favorite topics, effects, and challenges from previous Patreon updates.
Here’s everything coming at you this month:
This month’s asset pack is the Secret Screenspace pack. We’re giving you two popular screenspace effects that you can use in Blender and Goo Engine, including one that we’ve brought over from the NPR Prototype. Head over here to read all about it!
Back again for another round, this month’s Goo Crew Community Stream will be an NPR compositing talk from our comp lead, Wyatt! His stream will be a workshop-style stream and feature demos from the Blender 5.2 beta build. Bring your questions! This stream will take place on Thursday, April 9th at 8PM CST over in Discord.
For this month’s Professor Animation Review, we’re running it back with the Rewind Challenge. Have a submission from a previous challenge that didn’t get reviewed? Maybe you missed a theme and want to give it a go now, or you want a second shot with your improved skills? Head over here to read all the rules and submission requirements for this month’s theme. Professor Goo will stream his review on Thursday, April 23rd at 8PM CST.
Your submissions for the Combo Challenge were INCREDIBLE! The Professor Animation Review VOD is now available here for you to review.
If you’re planning to attend Blender Conference Austin, be sure to check out the two talks from members of the Goo Crew! “Why Compositing is the Future of NPR” and “Building Anime VFX in Blender” both pull back the curtain a little and show off the skills we’ve been developing with every project. The schedule should drop soon - we hope you’ll drop by!
Until next time! :D
