TUTORIAL FOR THIS FRIDAY:   Portrait Sketch: 3/4 View Fundamentals (Friday 31st January)

Hi all! This week I'm creating a tutorial about sketching portraits in a 3/4 view using the above reference. This is a tutorial for my fundamentals series on sketching portraits.

If there is anything you'd like to learn or have been finding challenging, please let me know!

PERSONAL UPDATE:

My girls still have one and a half weeks of school holidays before they go back. We've had a great time together but my wife and I are also looking forward to going back to the normal routine 😊. So if some of your questions and messages have gone unanswered, I'll be getting back to more normal work patterns soon!

WHAT'S COMING UP:

Friday 7th February: How To Sketch Food (Lots of sketches)

Friday 14th February: People Sketching (Detailed sketch)

Friday 21st February: Urban Sketching (Front View Perspective)

3/4 views are difficult for me, so looking forward to this tutorial ✍🏼 Nice to hear, you have a great family time. Maybe you also got new inspiration for sketching lessons while on vacation. Any interesting animals maybe? Australia has many wildlife now where else to find. 🐨🦘

Maybe we one day could make some sketches for typical things (buildings, wildlife, landscapes) from the countries we all come from? We post some photos and you “collect” them and we vote for coming tutorial? Could be fun if people want this

Enjoy your holiday and your family ! “life is short “

3/4 view is a good challenge! Thank you for not including someone with glasses on. Vacations are the best at the beginning than I find myself eager to get home. Enjoy the holiday while it lasts!

Hi Scottie, I have cancelled my membership because I need more time to recover from my accident. Thank you for your excellent tutorials. I have learned a lot and I think I will be back next year. All the best to you and your family and the great community.... best regards from Petra.

3/4 view is tough. At least she is not looking down! I think I will name her Carmen..... Life is short and the kids grow up WAY too fast! Spend as much time as you can with the family Scottie!
