Noisy australian birds to hear too. Made me feel “on vacation” 🧡 Very good tutorial again. Thanks a lot.

Today was my first attempt at sketching with a pen. I didn't get my good ones out because I thought it would be a mess. Well turns out it isn't such a mess but my ink wasn't waterproof. Lol. I would post it but Patreon freezes on the agree to the rules page. Uggghhh. You are a great teacher and I am really loving this site! Thanks

I do not do watercolors but only sketching with ink. However, I find your examples and tutorials highly recommended for everyone involved in drawing. The use of dots as an approach for the sketching is simply wonderful. I am following it myself. However, in this last tutorial the dots approach did not match correctly the positioning of the girl's mouth, did it? Sketching directly with ink implies assuming a number of risks, being the inability to correct deviations one of the most important from my viewpoint.

Hi Scottie, like to add the yellowish background to my painting, how should I do it?

In this trial, I decided to start with pen at the beginning, but for the jawline, eyes, nose, and mouth, I first used a pencil. This helped a lot with the proportions. I hope that with more practice, I'll be able to get it right with just the pen from the start. But I'm super happy with the results, thanks scottie

Oooof happy with my first attempt given I've never really done portraits. Thanks Scottie!!!
