In this tutorial I show you how to simplify this complex city scene using my loose ink and watercolor sketching technique.

If you're wondering, this city is Dresden in Germany! My wife and I visited there and our friends told us how this cathedral was rebuilt completely over many years after being destroyed in the second world war.

Loved this lesson. I’m hopping to travel to Japan soon, this lesson will encourage me to try sketching outside simplifying the scene. Shukran Arabic for thank you 🙏

This was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed seeing how to simplify something that, at a first glance, looks a bit overwhelming. As always, thank you Scottie!

This was really fun! Thanks for sharing😊 I learned a lot. I find your dot technique really helpful, bc I tend to just go in there and later a part of the view got cut of bc there‘s no space left. I don‘t really mind, but it‘s great to know how I could get it right, if I wanted to!
