UPCOMING TUTORIAL:  Friday 23rd May: People Sketching

This week we are sketching people! I'm still working out if I sketch only one of these references in detail or a few with less detail (smaller). I have been enjoying sketching people with a simpler technique which can be used in urban sketching so I'm leaning towards that direction. Please let me know what you think and which references stand out to you in the poll below!

A few smaller sketches for urban sketching please. My aim is to capture postures in a quick way. The man with the cat is very cute and I would like to capture rain.

I need to work on partial or full on tilted faces so 1, 3, 6 or 8 are good. Not much challenge to the backside of folks.

Sounds good to me Scottie. I would love to learn how to sketch with a simpler technique. I do feel I add too much to my sketches ( without your guidance) and it can look a little overdone whether it’s a scene or just people. I’m happy to sketch any 🤗

Since, I’m still learning people I would prefer a more in depth instruction. I however will take anything you give me because I love your style, but if we could just once in a while do more in depth so I get the important techniques down, I feel that once I have a good baseline then I can go looser
