Let me know in the poll below which reference you would prefer to sketch and why in the comments.

Thanks for all the great feedback that you gave me from last week's watercolour tutorial. It was encouraging to hear you found it helpful!

WHAT'S COMING UP:

Friday 13th February: Facial Expressions

Friday 20th February: Building (With stairs?)

Friday 27th February: How to sketch anything series

1! I haven't touched any material with water like this photo has.

LISA

2 seems the most challenging

Shauna

#3 for the urban scenes I love, although bridges are pretty cool too….

Jessica Abrami

#3 I really like the bright colors and light in the scene.

Rosie Green

#2 Bring On The Challenge :-D!

Bonnie Kenney

I'm going with 3.. love the perspective & colors 😍

Beverley Saindon

#1 please. 😄 it’ll be wonderful & interesting to see how the water is created, along with the beautiful bridge and building.

Mr. M

Number one...I'm terrible with perspective so here we go!

dave

Upping the difficulty! All look challenging.

Michael

Would like to know how to ‘sketch’ water 🤣

Sara

All look interesting, but I pick #3.

Elly

I'd love to do 3 as I have been wanting to sketch that multiple building composition :)

Lorna Graham

#3 looks like a scene I would try out and about and I like the colours ☺️

Eun Cho

I love #3 because it has colorful buildings and beautiful clouds.

Sally D

Hi number 1 would be great as I’d like to paint more references containing water and the bridge is fab

Laura

Reference 1 because I have problems with similar perspective setups - namely those where there is kind of "one thing" in the foreground (bridge and right side of image buildings) and "one thing" in the far background. Also seeing what you do with "boring" solid blue skies would be interesting to me.

Tracey

I would love to see how to paint #1. Especially see how you handle the water aspect.

Margaret B Smith

I chose No.1 - not too fussy, but I have a feeling it is going to be a challenging learning curve,

Margaret B Smith

Had another look at No.1 - there is a picture within a picture, Not sure I can tackle that one

Silattahoe

I somehow missing the voting period but I think my favor, #2, would have won anyway. I like that one best as it seems the most challenging. So many angles and depths. Maybe you'll put that option up for voting again the future?!

No. 1 please Scottie for the unusual perspective of the bridge within the photo
