Regarding the FOMO, not all Jinchuriki get whole filler arcs, but the 6th in particular did. This flashback it showed was a 20+ ep arc, same with 3 tailed. Others get brought up in filler for a few episodes, but it’s definitely not an even distribution and for the most part won’t be referenced unless completely necessary.

my thoughts on the "mummy" A lot of ninja especially with kekkei genkai develop their sort of gear to work in synergy with their abilities. Look at the aburame clan - they all look like they're straight out of the matrix, shades, trench coats, etc, the whole nine - because they developed their bodies to be host to all sorts of bugs so they need to protect them as well as it gives them an advantage in fights if people can't see the bugs until the last minute so they can't anticipate what they're going to do. The mummy (his name is Mu), people refer to him as the null-man, or non-person. The reason being is he can COMPLETELY conceal himself - this means no scent, no sound, no energy, no chakra, on top of becoming invisible to the naked eye. What would someone dress like if their kekkei genkai allowed them to conceal themselves to a greater degree than any other ninja? Oh shit I wanna make sure I'm wearing sweatbands to prevent myself from dripping during a fight, I want to cover my hair and skin to not leave anything behind that can be tracked. I want to cover my mouth to prevent myself spraying saliva when I talk. Imma wrap my feet to not make sound. My dude is just covering his body to make himself that much harder to detect because that's his whole strat. It's like asking why does brand not wear a shirt? well the dude is made out of fire. Wearing a shirt that can withstand fire would just make him weaker

When Tobi face revealed himself to Kisame, why would Kisame recognize anyone behind the mask ? Tobi could have introduced himself as whatever Uchiha member he'd like and it would have been believable to Kisame. The statue in the Valley of the end was the only depiction of Madara and I bet there is not a lot of shinobi who had got the chance to look at it, especially in enemy territory.

Kisame has seen Madara’s face 2x. The first in the flashback cut short with the 4th Mizukage during Kisame’s past. Not many people have seen Madara in person that is currently living most of his fame comes from stories and history. I think it’s safe to say Madara revealed his face to Kisame in the flashback where Madara was manipulating the 4th Mizukage Yagura… right before Kisame woke up from the enemy searching his mind for info. So Ron of course Kisame was surprised when Tobi revealed himself as Madara the second time around. Kisame had no prior knowledge that the man under the mask known as Tobi was Madara even though Madara at the time was the one that brought him into the Akatsuki in the 1st place.

I'm so happy you guys watched the Dubbed Madara Fight! There isn't much talking, but two of my favorite lines by two of my favorite Voice Actors are in it. Obviously Madara's Dance line, but Gaara's (Liam O'brian) "YOU WILL GO NO FURTHER!" Gets me EVERY time! They're not looking at comments, but my feelings are out there now.

Regardless of importance it adds an extra layer to the story so that it's not just like, "oh yeah they're fighting people we've never met." The team behind making the filler episodes did the story justice because Kishimoto didn't always have time to fully round out the story. For example we barely see most of the konoha 11 except in the filler episodes and ofcourse many of them are bad but certain parts of em are incredibly interesting and I believe if you truly want to enjoy the anime, you should at least watch key scenes of some filler arcs.

No need to watch fillers. The animation studio simply made a well-made transition from canon to filler and then back to canon. Fillers are just to let the manga move forward. That's why animes are split into different seasons nowadays so that they don't have to create fillers. And yes, you'll get Hashirama content. 🪵

@Doni, Maybe to you because you've already seen the story and just want to watch their reactions to specific scenes. Their reaction to Asuma sucked and they only felt bad for Shikamaru because they skipped the filler that focused on Asuma. They don't know what a three tails is because they skipped that arc even though I believe that arc was long and boring. Utakata was probably the most interesting Jinchuriki and the shock factor of seeing him killed by Pain at the end of the arc was completely gone because they skipped over that short arc and yes they're confused asf in this reaction. They don't know how Hiruzen treated Naruto in the anime because they skipped those filler episodes. They even missed the scene were Danzo was elected as Hokage and were confused because they skipped everything titled "Filler". There were episodes in this war arc that were filler that were at least somewhat interesting that gave other characters time in the spotlight like Kakashi and guy vs 2 of the 7 swordsmen and Omoi vs Ameyuri Ringo the female swordsman. The list goes on... Some filler episodes simply round out the anime and should be watched.

It's up to ya'll to watch. It gives you more info on Utakata and probably Jinchuuriki but it's not manga canon. It's anime canon, I think. All I know is that I didn't watch it. Mannn, manga readers already had new Madara figured out and I hated them for it lmao. The most fun theory I remember back in 2006 was Pain was actually the 4th Hokage 😂

A recap of the Jinchuriki so far in the story to help Ron and Michelle. No there aren't filler arcs for all Jinchuriki, only just for a couple of them and yes they popped up in the war arc without prior knowledge - the ones who we don't know. Yugito is the 2 tails. We seen before. She was captured by Hidan and Kakuzu. Michelle said she remembered her. Yagura, the 4th Mizukage, has been sprinkled into the story. We know he was controlled by Madara. He's the 3 tails, and the 3 tails had a filler arc as well. First time see 4 tails was when Kisame captured him. 5 tails and 7 tails were introduced ep 205 when Madara were naming all the junchuriki from one tails to 9 tails, when he declared war in the 5 kage summit. So, not counting Naruto and Killer Bee, canonically we know Yugito and Yagura. Utakata was in filler. Don't know 4, 5 and 7 tails. My bad for long comment, hope this helps

@Kaiser What I mean by manga readers knowing is as it was being serialized, those reading already figured it out. Anime watchers were 1.5~2 years behind the manga. Dub watchers were like 4~5 years behind the manga. Tobi first appears in the manga = Oct 2005, the anime = Oct 2007, dubbed anime = Apr 2010.........Manga readers already knew in 2005, I promise! And it was annoying af cuz they were right and wouldn't shut up about it. 😭

It’s funny how in the world where someone throws meteors from the sky you are surprised about switching voices😂 Remember when Naruto was making his transformation into the girl he was easily able to switch to female voice. So if Tobi heard Madara’s voice at least once in his life it’s not a big deal for him to replicate his voice. Also we’ve seen Orochimaru changing his voice at the chunin exams when he was pretending to be the Kazekage. Literally every shinobi can do that.

The thing about fillers is that there’s fillers that introduce new information and then there’s fillers that are just recaps. I think everything canon should be watched and everything recapped should be skipped. I remember in high school we didn’t even know certain things were filler, only recaps were looked down on. They helped me tho considering it took me like 10 years to experience Naruto back in the day. I miss shonen jump man 😭

Guys, all the middle part of episode 324 is a filler... you can go back and watch the filler story but from my point of view – fillers are useless and not as interesting as the story based on manga to watch. The most interesting part here – was the battle Utakata vs Pain, and it's the only part of the whole story which was in manga too :) The only exclusion I think it's fillers about Kakashi and Itachi's lives, but it also was partly based on manga shots.

Glad you agree. I think for most filler arcs, the villains stink and are throw away characters. Even the villains of the 6 tails arc stunk but Utakata's entire story was so interesting and seeing Pain at the end of the arc was a jaw dropping moment for me.

Imo the only filler worth reacting to or Watching I'd say watch Episodes 451 - 458 are about Itachi's early life and his anbu time. "Birth and Death" should be the first episode. Episodes 349 to 361 are about Kakashi's and Yamato's anbu years. "The Mask that Hides the Heart" should be the first episode

Tobi and Madara having the same voice is a (whats-the-word) stylistic or artistic choice. If you remember back in episode 125 when Tobi was revealed to be 'Madara', his voice changed to 'Madara's' voice. So using the same logic, until we know the real identity of 'Tobi', his voice will not change because for now his identity is still 'Madara' or a second 'Madara'

I'm of the opinion that filler isn't worthless, not all of it anyway, some are genuinely weird, but the Utakata arc is not too shabby . The 3 tails filler is good too. You guys are unlike other reactors, you genuinely enjoy the storyline so if you're curious about one of the filler arcs, or like, if something appeals to you and you wanna know more, you should for sure check it out offcam.

Regarding the voice, remember that many skilled shinobi can practice mimicking someone's voice, Yamato demonstrated this when disguising as Sasori, and any transformation jutsu usually requires this as well. Guys please like the comment so they see it and don't get too hung up on the voice.

Yamato once displayed his skill in changing his voice to sound like other akatsuki. Also naruto displayed using everyone's voice in OG naruto when he transformed into kabuto Sakura and sasuke.

This is why I tell people to not skip what they think might be a filler. Attempt to watch every episode and if you know for a fact it's a filler skip it then. Don't skip the next short chunin exam arc otherwise you will miss info about characters in this war arc. I think it starts around 390.

Fillers are the worst thing that ever happened to the Naruto series. There’s a reason why most people say that the Pain arc was the best (closest pace to the manga). The war arc has so much filler that it hurt the story pace. Back in the day most people had to finish Naruto by reading the manga because Studio Pierrot milked the hell out of it by creating fillers about anything because they knew the manga was about to end and when Kishimoto finished it they went berserk with the fillers.

I feel that 🤷🏾‍♂️ my opinion is if u don’t appreciate the fillers then are you really a fan of the anime ? the fillers literally give insight to certain characters that got little to no screen time … for example the filler where hinata learns her own version of the 64 palms … yea it can be annoying to be bounced out of the main story into weeks of side story but it’s not completely unnecessary all the time …and not to mention the naruto fillers still make sense and go along with the timeline .. unlike bleach fillers which is just a random arc

That's like one of the few fillers I actually liked, was the Utakata's fillers, idk why but i enjoyed him and he was one of my favorite characters, though i think what it is was because Utakata's theme "Shirohae" was such a vibe and one of my favorite themes that i learned to play it on guitar LMAO

You guys should be confused. The author puts you in the shoes of every other shinobi going against Madara and the Akatsuki. And ninja with very good chakra control can manipulate voices if they’ve heard the voice enough to copy it. Orichimaru always does it, especially in part one.
