Comments

Tay

Let’s gooooo

Brandocommando

I remember I dressed up as Morpheus for Halloween back in elementary…..god i miss this movie

Ron Jackson Jr

Ron probably understands this better than any anime show haha just kidding.

Bob

Dang it, it's midnight guess I'm staying up lol

지원

THANK YOU GUYS

Ron Jackson Jr

damn i wasnt born yet when it was 1999

Naruto Uzumaki

Life is really a giant blue pill when you think about it

TJ Major

Yeah sounds like Michelle's got a lot of iconic movies she's gotta catch up on.

Stropheum

GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'M SO FUCKING HYPEDDDD

Stropheum

The matrix IS anime. It's just really high def. Also you guys gotta watch ghost in the shell and akira, because BOTH cyberpunk: edgerunners AND the matrix took inspiration from both of those, which are classic anime, so it ALLLLLLLLL COMES FULL CIRCLE BAYBEEEE

gdnsx

man imma watch this for the first time too lets go

Arman

Andrew Tate smiling

Stropheum

"did it age well?" BRUH it's one of the best most timeless movies literally ever made

Brandocommando

He would definitely say that Ron is g of the week

Seamus Lennon

You don’t neeeeeed to overthink it … but yes the book title had meaning.

Stropheum

To michelles question, that book in the beginning that was hollowed out and filled with illegal software was titled "simulacra and simulation" it's one of the earliest philosophical texts that talks about the potentiality of living in a dream world composed of "symbols" and it predated the first computer by hundreds of years. it's wild

The Skeletal Jazz Wizard

Is a hollowed out copy of Simulacra and Simulation, Baudrillard's treatise on the relationship between symbols, signs and reality as perceived by society, stuffed full of extremely illegal software and opening on the final chapter titled 'On Nihilism' significant to The Matrix? Yes, yes it's quite significant.

sandust

The star wars movies should be next up to a point the die hard fans can explain that part cuz after a certain point the movies go downhill

Feignorance

Will they do a youtube edit version for these movie drops? I hope they will.

Steadi

Never watched any Matrix movie. I can't wait to watch these 😂

Jedan

Would love to see the Star Wars movies

Steadi

Yall should watch some horror movies 🤣🤣🤣

Seamus Lennon

Iirc it was wild Wild West for will smith not MIB … apparently he read the script and couldn’t see it.

Stropheum

@ron the thing with the phone exits is a number of conditions 1) it has to be a hard-line. So no cell phones, no wireless phones 2) as you can see from the end of the movie, populated areas are reaally dangerous. so ideally you'll find isolated or even abandoned areas with the phone somehow for some reason still connected 3) a phone doesn't become an "exit" until it's hacked by an operator. The operator then maintains the hack as an access point into and out of the matrix. There's not a cut and dry method for hacking so operators tend to develop their own means for what works, so different operators will have different collections of exits, though i think some common ones are shared 4) Also the machines know about exits and they seek to eliminate them whenever they're aware of them. This is what tank meant when they said "they cut the hard line, it's a trap, get out" he was saying "they killed the exit, they know you're coming here to try to leave" oh god i know all the easter eggs stop bringing them up lol. the room numbers are symbolic in the matrix for sure. Neo's apartment is room # 101, aka the "tutorial" stage of a lot of games, learning the basics etc. it's where he initially learns about morpheus and is trying to find traces of him on the web. 303 refers to a web status code, it's a number that gets returned to let you know that you're being redirected to a new page. Coincidentally this is the same room that trinity is guarding in the opening scene, and contains a hardline where operatives can be relocated out of the matrix

CallmePadre7

Yooo The Matrix is a trip, and I got shotgun! Excited for the next ones!!

Gene Arias

Honestly a classic in my books, love your reactions guys ❤️

Ron Jackson Jr

damn guys i just finished this now I am going to continue with the whole rest of the anime one piece and kuroko. W movie. Damn Ron not saying a word that's Wholesome

Taka

first time actively watching this movie! I can see why it's such a popular franchise!!

Jose martinez

Loved it guys yalk should watch the movie Wanted with James mcavoy and Angelina Jolie it’s older but amazing

Chalupasaurus Rex

I would be so excited for you guys to watch the first two star wars trilogies in chronological order. Even Rogue One. Also Star Wars the Clone Wars is an amazing show. 10/10 I recommend watching the show after the Prequel Trilogy. If you decide to watch it of course.

Emil Yi

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE WATCH THIS FUNNY YOUTUBE EDIT OF THE SUBWAY FIGHT. MICHELLE, you laughed at one particular scene in that subway fight. I need both of you to see this. You WILL NOT REGRET IT. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVMJSQLGnZk

Emil Yi

It would be even better if ya'll did a quick reaction video on it. I swear

HollowedSlayer

Horror recommendations if you guys haven't seen them: Alien series, The Thing

RorotheShadow

I don't know if you've seen any of the Marvel movies, but I would love it if you would dive into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That definitely would be awesome!

Vic

FIGHT CLUB !!!!!! That’s a mustttttttt

Raden

Ron constantly smirking and trying to hide his expressions from Michelle was hilarious

Tomas Barreda (Tomyhill)

Oh please, if you guys haven't watched Kill Bill, please react to it. It's an amazing movie 🤗🤩

Phil K

I may be in the minority, but the first Matrix is the best by far. They each get worse in my opinion.

Jimmy

Would love to see Marvel/DC Movie reactions post Matrix!

BAM

I honestly think Reloaded is better. .

aldebaran

Guys we need to do Star Wars

kai

booooo the people wanted star wars but i’ll take it cause i like this movie

𝖘𝖑𝖚𝖒𝖕𝓏

Yessss I cannot wait for more movies, recommendations if you haven’t seen already Quentin Tarantino movies are great!!

D.j. Lachmandas

WE NEED HORROR MOVIES FOR ALL OF SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER

beannie

I need yall to watch everything everywhere all at once!!!

Michelle Lam

we have seen most of them. not all of them. but loved them up until end game lol excited to watch deadpool tho!

Michelle Lam

we saw that in theaters! Michelle was balling lol it was so good

beannie

NOOOOO😭 naaah it’s ok, such an insane movie🕺 same Michelle😔

Seany Park

Michelle was on to something with the 0s and 1s when Neo/One was brought up. In binary code 0 = false and 1 = true so Neo is the One and he is the Truth.

Goon

Watch the Insidous movies for Halloween season, the Nun 🙏

Simon

Y’all should watch bullet train if you haven’t ! You’d love it

Thomas Yang

If you guys have time, I would suggest watching The Deep Dive: The Matrix. Erik and the New Rockstars crew breakdown this movie like never before.

Goon

29:57 Michelle you naughty girl🤭lmao

Peter Ceniceros

Such classic actions movies. Grew up watching these with my siblings which lead to a lot of play fighting with my siblings we always copied Neo and Agent Smith's fighting styles 🤣

Denzel Madison

Glad y’all doing movie reaction, please do more of it.

romeo

Why watch something that you’ve already seen? I feel like that just ruined the whole point of reacting video

Brandon Audet

If you're paying attention, Michelle hasn't seen this. So she's the one reacting to it

Steadi

Bullet train with Brad Pitt Is a great movie

Salman ahmed

U should watch Star Wars if u havent watched them

TVTG

I loved the reaction!!! : - D

Saith D. Uchiha

Never seen it. Me n a woman I used to “hook up” with. Her mom dated the main actor for a few months. Her mom got DM’d on Facebook. They had a few dates.

Saith D. Uchiha

Looking forward to spooky reactions! Watch soul eater 4 Halloween you already missed an iconic icon. I was disappointed cuz this was Oct. never read any manga but soul eater and fire force are related in some way.

Saith D. Uchiha

I’m glad your diving into less anime but please focus on anime

Vern

I would love to watch your reaction to Fight Club

viluti

is it just me or is the movie volume kinda low?

BAM

I just realized the quote "Guns. Lots of guns." from John Wick 3 was from this!

Thamor

Have you guys seen Dune already?

Critical

My two favorite movies that I highly recommend to everyone are Memento and The Departed.

lordjaggi

really just watching the matrix o.0

BD

U need to watch Interstellar

Akaiye

Agent remembered the building and knew neo was going for that phone. 303 > 33 Reference to kundalini energy. Down and back up the spine 33 vertebrae🔃 Neo becoming the One “Enlightenment”

To To

Originally matrix was just one film and it was supposed to end here. But due to the fucking success they make it a trilogy fortunately for us !!!

Simon

Man definitely one of the best movies to come out in the last couple years

Roux

Big Cheesin silent Ron is a sight to behold lol

Art

Now on to the second and third....the fourth doesn't exist

pascal lankreijer

Hahaha awesome! Did the same with my GF and the smirk on Ron's face is so relatable

fredy santos

y'all should watch Interstellar

Dominic Robinson

Please watch Bullet train y’all would love that movie lol also everything else Michelle has never scene lol

Efren

You guys should see “ The Secret Window” with Johnny Depp, it’s a really good suspense and psychological movie

Mu Nanyo

Final Destination movies could be fun

Boujee Gaymer 🐻

Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 is an absolute must for you two.

Michael H

This is a perfect film. It aged so well. The guy who played Agent Smith is such a legend too. He plays Elrond in Lord of the Rings and V in V for Vendetta.

Tatsu Riveraeon

There's an interesting link between Matrix and Terminator

Marcos cruz

This is one of my favorite movies, hope you guys do more, and definetely do scary movies for Halloween! The first few Conjuring movies would be nice, the latest ones are little too wacky but the early ones are good

Elessar

Owned this on vhs. Still one of my favorites.

Jonymush

Also Ron's hype of rewatching his old favorite movie again for the first time in years was great too. Was super relatable for me

Damien Lee

Maybe just a feedback. Understand that Ron watched this before, but he should still say something, otherwise its weird like Michelle is talking to herself.

J Ninja

The Matrix is one of the handful of movies, from the 90s, that was ahead of it's time

Michael H

Seconded, my man. I always forget just how fantastic those movies are.

Vlad Vlad

better not to, 4th movie is a garbage

Michael H

I actually really appreciated his restraint given that he had already seen it, to be honest. You could tell he was really locked in.

Byakuran

watch a in-between description video then rewatch it. I thought it was trash too then it made so much more fucking sense the second time.

Byakuran

Bro I would love for yall to do a full Classic 90's CGI list. For some reason they all just hit different. The old ninja turtle moves. 5th element. Mars attacks Men in black Blade Jurassic park Independence day 12 monkeys Godzilla minus one (90's style) and more....

Boujee Gaymer 🐻

They’re good, but may be too much for our girl M!! 😱

Cherrie

How the f*, are you guys missing Speed?? 😂😱 That came out in 1994 and that movie was amazing!

MART7R

ABSOLUTE C L A S S I C 🔥

rryutie

Was a fun rewatch with you guys. Reloaded next? :D

Elessar

Ron's face killing me the entire time🤣

Elessar

And Red Skull in MCU.

J.A Montes

There are strong Matrix vibes in Naruto. Both Naruto and Neo, their names both begin with the letter N, both were fated to end long-running wars (The One and The Child of the Prophecy) and both saved humanity from illusions that some folks simply didn't want to. Just like Madara, The Matrix's villainous Machines sought to enslave humanity in a dream world and drain the bodies for energy. Even Gaara’s outfit in Shippuden was inspired by this movie.

Nick is Rad

Solid reaction as always and I look forward to more! Fwiw, the volume of the movie felt a little low compared to the normal volume level of shows you guys watch.

Michael H

@Elessar I didn’t know that! Hugo Weaving is his name, I think. Such a good actor.

Michael H

Yes! I was thinking of Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure lol. Can’t believe I forgot about Speed…

Michael H

Wow, you’re right! Never would’ve thought to link those two.

Michael Styes

Horror movie reactions pls would be hilarious

Jacob

Hope to see you guys watch Matrix Reloaded soon!

Brandon

you never watched star wars... I need an immediate community poll with star wars in it. I know it went political but fuck politics we need og and 2000s star wars now

AidinHS

The audio of the movie is low!! I can barely hear anything wtf

Dan Richa9097

Yes, for there next upload they will need increase the volume to be more clearer. To match how loud the volume is in there anime series.

Joshua Bonifaz

LMAO "they actually had to blow a real building up for that"

D

YOU HAVE TO WATCH STAR WARS WTF????

Peter Ceniceros

Btw that song from the agent training program scene is "Clubbed to Death by Rob Dougan" It's in my gym Playlist 😂

Neal

There is no spoon

Neal

I saw star wars for the first time in like 2012 and I found it be boring tbh

zeeroBullets

i really enyjoyed rewatching the matrix with you! i wish i had a developed mind when those movies first came out. society went crazy :D

DMONEY420

This an terminator were originally 1 story. The writer sold it to Hollywood and they split it into 2 franchises.

DMONEY420

Ps the anime is a dope watch too.

Nǐçķ

Interestellar 🙌🏼

LuvStarburst

I will say that this is one of the best movies I watched as a kid and I was 10 years old. This was the movie to talk about when every kid went to school after that weekend.

Chase023

Yeah but Naruto means fish cake..lol.. well Narutomaki..haha

Chase023

I'd say 5th Element.. one of my fav movies of all time

The CulturedGentleman

I really love the next 2 parts of this. Cant wait to see them uploaded guys

RB

Nice, its been a while since i watched this movie.. One of my top 10. Wish the sound was a bit louder of the movie tho. But again, this is gem. U need to give 'The Raid' a try. Great upload 👊🏽

Whoopsie

This movie aged so damn and wow so crazy how both of you never seen Star Wars! I hope yall react to that one soon. That is right up with some of the best in a Trilogy and the sequels are awesome too.

Diego Hill

Definitely one of my favorite movies of all time!

Diego Hill

So rice hasn’t seen this movie?

Diego Hill

I love how excited Ron is getting for the reveal before she finds out. 😂 I was the same way!

Thomas Larsen

I only joined here for the ship reacts, but then I get this trio too. Awesome! This was my first VHS buy, the tape got degraded from how many times I watched it.

Thomas Larsen

This movie also has the best "NO!" in any movie I have ever seen. When they capture Morpheus, Tank's "NO!" is so emotive, its as if you can hear a deep and brutal crying session within those two letters, like a type of vibrato that vocalists uses. I know its probably like super obscure / weird thing to focus on, but when I first noticed it it never left my mind as the most emotional and dramatic "NO!" in cinema history (that I know of).

Strive TheGreat

LOVE LOVE LOVE this and all the ideas you guys threw out at the beginning. Inception is my favorite movie hopefully it gets reacted to!!!!

Darren Metts

“Oh she dead” we all felt the same way for a split second 😙

Darren Metts

Michelle: that’s not Choi Ron: sips tea knowing it’s choi on the inside The matrix is just different with the way it keeps being unpredictable and forcing to make the wrong guess

Darren Metts

“wtf what kind of movie is this” I felt that in my soul

Darren Metts

When Ron said it’s jus a dream I just smoked this movie is just wow

Darren Metts

When I first heard Morpheus say “you think that’s air you’re breathing” 🤯

Killua X

all I have to say is, you've both never watched Star Wars?...............

Darren Metts

When she said I know this scene that hit even harder

Darren Metts

No cap o think neo might be my favorite super hero

Darren Metts

Bro it’s been so long since I seen this movie that I forgot about the one hand and literally like I don’t even know lol

Fio

Someone told me that THE MATRIX has inspiration in GHOST IN THE SCHELL

Shadow_Dragon175

It’s so funny that after watching this movie so many times I just realized they hinted at Neo being like Jesus when Choi said he is his own personal Jesus Christ 🤨

Michael H

I never fully appreciated how amazing that first scene is at setting up the villains. First showing how badass Trinity is, only to then show how terrified she is of the agents is really damn effective.

Kyle Rave

Ironically , cipher is our childhood movie star baby's day out who remembers that movie

s3pHeNoMiC

Your info on Will Smith deal is incorrect, it wasn't Men In Black, it was Wild Wild West.

mario reyes

12:40 when she says Keanu looks young and Ron's face is the same face we all have when YOU are reacting to something we amazing we already watched.

Kenshin

THIS is how you do it you spoilers. A lot of people want internet points so they spoil things thinking they will get likes. Especially manga and anime readers/watchers. It's so irritating. They ruin it for the reactors AND the audience. It's the whole fing reason why we watch reactors. To see their first impressions. SMH. Ron you did a great job not spoiling it. The only issue I have is the movie audio was way to fing low. I would turn it up and then Michelle would scream and blow out my speakers and ears lmao. I hope they did a better job on other movies.
