just pulled this off Reddit lol, but if there are any Japanese viewers on this channel, they can confirm this. I think “Dandadan” might be all abbreviations. In Japanese, it’s common to shorten words, though it’s usually the first part that’s used. It apparently comes from a mix of kaidan, which means ghost story, kidan, which refers to a wild or colorful story, and taikendan, meaning a story of one’s hands-on experience. The common element is dan, which means “story.” These terms were used in the promotional material for the anime too, so I guess thats’ why its called Dandadan.

Previous episodes showed the grandma as a white haired lady in tradition robe, without showing the face. Only this episode did she show her face and appears "hot". And opening credits do not count as you wouldnt know she is the grandma

Heard that the title Dandadan meaning was only recently been explained in the manga so it might be a spoiler. Anyway, we only saw grandma's silhouette wearing the priest clothing so she was only just revealed in this episode.
