I have never gotten a romantic vibe from ichigo and rukia. I’ve always looked at them as though they were brother and sister or like senior and underclassmen.

Alex

Oh wow, I completely forgot they teased a bit of rukia's backstory like that so early.

Soulrebel0902

So yes Michelle you’re right that is the same VA as Itachi. Bleach OST is goated Shiro Sagisu is a genius. Yes Isshin is a badass top ten characters of mine in this anime.

Brandocommando

AYE AYE CAPTAIN (if you get it you get it)

Volt

The Soul Reaper was a filler character so him falling asleep was just to keep him out of the canon material for a bit, to be honest I have no clue why they added him all he really does is instigate Ichigo x Rukia shipping talk

Kayso

With that soul reaper guy falling asleep, it was just for comedic relief. That's not all how soul reapers respond after they get injured. Like Rukia said even soul reapers aren't immortal. Loved the scene at the end with Ichigo's dad. First time so far we see him serious, he's so cool. 17:36 Yeah the white haired guy is Itachi's voice

Kayso

14:13 Yes this ost perfectly describes Bleach. I'm glad yall love it, a lot of people do it's really popular. It's the very first ost that plays in the series. Bleach osts as a whole are bangers. But it something about this one that I love so much. 13:52-14:08 portion of it sounds sad with the piano yet its an action/fighting style ost. Then the sad undertone goes away when the electric guitar. Overall it's simple in a good way, yet so unique and also this creepy undertone. Goes perfectly with any action scene or any non action scene. When you hear it you know shits about to go down

JustRojo

Also I don’t think we can say Rukia is weak or anything right now , because like she legit has no soul reaper powers left since Ichigo took all her spiritual energy and she’s in a gigai form which is not for fighting, so that’s why she gets tossed around every now and then

Yuto

🔥🔥🔥

Tingz

Precipice of defeat hits EVERY time!

Antonio Ricardo

Wish I could answer but obviously don’t wanna spoil, but let’s just say there’s an answer for every question you’ve asked here lol

Tingz

Guys let them keep their thoughts in Ichigo n rukia let them ship them they just started bleach. Ppl saying they like bro or sis ok cool but it’s their first watch when we already seen the show. Everything will be answered. Also saying “great theories” or saying they are good at predicting or theorizing or they are cooking I feel they count as spoilers because that’s basically confirming that their predictions are true 💀

aldebaran

There's one very interesting character I can't wait for them to meet.

XXI

BLEACH BOIISSS

Kee

The Soul Reaper that fell asleep is definitely just a "Luffy" moment. Shock factor of heavy injury into silly "sleeping it off" moment.

Tru

We love you too. Keep it going!

Silvaron

i want you guys to catch up before last part of bleach aired. but 3 ep in a week means at least u have to watch like 2 years to catch up which is very slow in my op.

Nightshade

Just started watching Severance a few days ago lol did not expect a reference to that.

TaterThots

The dude with the white hair is voiced by the same dude that voices Itachi. I don't think this is a spoiler but you'll also hear Sasuke's voice actor here too pretty soon

Aneesh Paul

22:18 spot on and also don't push for IchigoxRukia you will just be disappoint Bleach is battle shonen anime-manga and not shoujo I hate when people bring shipping debates into Shonen genre anime/mangas.

Ragged

Honestly the best thing you guys could do to show your appreciation to us would just be doing what you're already doing, I think thats enough, for me that is😁

Emil Yi

He wasn't calling him careless. That's localization subbing. In Japanese, Grand Fisher is saying something more along the lines of "That's what makes this your loss, brat!"

.

I can't wait to see the thing im waiting for that I wont spoil the episode number of but is soon

kidCash3

Intro has me crying rons choir skills really glowed😭

Chase023

Just to say, sometimes you guys need to suspend your sense of logic and beliefs when watching anime, or even movies at times. As you already know you can't apply one situation to all like for example that guy falling asleep when he was damaged, Michelle wondered if it applied to all Shinigami, and I can see the logic but its more comic relief as someone already said. By the way wasn't Rukia damaged as a shinigami in the 1st episode and she didn't fall asleep.. right? lol..

kidCash3

Soul reapers aren’t “dead “ as per say lol he fell asleep cuz he was injured kind of in a funny way how Luffy falls a sleep sometimes when he’s damaged and tired

Raheem Mcdermott

To have someone tell you to die laughing. Its actually a powerful and impactful thing to hear and think about.

john Alexander

Man I feel the same way with this like I did with Naruto. It's cool watching these early episodes but I can't wait for yall to get to the real good stuff.

AJ Lab

The next arc will be a big jump

JAN NARUTO

Thanks, W drop as always. can’t wait to see your reaction to all the greatness that’s coming

Aaron williams

Rukia and Ichigo aren’t a thing don’t waste your time

Usher

26:41 This is beautiful, almost as if ron was in choir..

Tay

Yokoso

Volt

Yall need to remember that talking about what ships are and are not gonna happen is still a spoiler I'm surprised those comments haven't been deleted

YoshiNate

Can we get a Ron Christmas album. He was in choir so it would be easy for him. I'd love to get it by the time the holidays come up

Carter San

I still stand on my point that I think this deserves a multi episode reaction like OP and Naruto did. 1 episode (especially in the beginning) is gonna be hella slow

Shadow Games

I swear Bleach has the best ost’s and they only get better

oldschool

nah, sorry, i can't watch this that slow

Phyllis

Lots of GOAT characters in Bleach. I think Michelle is looking forward to a love triangle between Ichigo, Rukia, and Orihime. Haha XD The OPs, EDs, and OSTs of Bleach are some of the best and most addictive out there. I'm loving watching you all enjoy the show and the music. I love the last part when Michelle sang and changed the lyrics to Life is a Boat. <3

JojoLasVegas

Damn the foreshadowing is killer

Apathina

Please dont watch Mushoku Tensei... the MC is a canon p*dophile who filmed his child niece and jacked off to it before dying. Not to mention all the s*xual assult type stuff he does to children during the show (removing their underwear, saying they have "potential") and he never actually learns because he gets to have a harem at the end with all the children he grooms

Jay Mack

“This kid gonna become a monster” lol remember them words people.

Ash

the stuff with his mother fighting back in Grand Fisher's body and the new Soul Reaper does not happen in the manga. You may consider them as filler. Memories in the Rain may have been butchered by the anime but they nailed the meaning and aesthetic behind the scene.

MacDonaldMerch

Michelle your voice suits that song nicely! Ron, you’ve got room for growth 🤣

deea

Literally just subscribed to Patreon because I love Michelle shipping the heck out of them, I remember back when it came out I think I said the same comment about the sparkling eyes to my friend🥺

Castiel_01x

I genuinely hate this episode. Because Ichigo's mom's memories do not appear in the manga at all. Nor does it fight back and give Ichigo respite for what had happened. Ichigo's whole character so far is based on the fact that he never got a conclusion with his mother. The anime ruined that by giving him "final moments" with his mother. I believe this episode is the primary reason why Tite Kubo wants to remake Bleach. It's such an important episode, and they butchered it.

Ilsuk Yang

I love how they depict Isshin in this episode. How he talks to Ichigo at the end shows that there's much more to his character, and that how he acts around his kids is at least partly an act, which we find out a lot more about later. He's not unlike All Might in the way he tries to bring smiles to others.
