Haters always say that Ichigo is a boring main character... I disagree. Ichigo is just BASED. He doesn't want a title or be the strongest or some treasure, adventure or whatever. He just wants to protect his friends and beloved ones (as a result of his trauma of losing his mom). Most relatable mc in the Big3 🧡 Thumbs up for realising this so early in the series 👍

So just like in Naruto where characters can sense chakra, the characters in Bleach can sense spiritual pressure from others, which is shown this episode. Both Kenpachi and Uryu sensing Ichigo and Renji fighting and then Chad also sensed Ichigo. I'm glad Ron noticed Ichigo's relatability and how realistic he is this early on in the story. He doesn't have a goal of becoming X Y Z, all Ichigo wants to do is protect his friends, that's what makes him one of the best MC, besides being the most swagged out with the best drip lol. Like everyone else said in the comments you guys should check out the current ending, it features each captain and lieutenant.

Ron's end of episode discussion on Ichigo is exactly why ichigo is my favorite MC in the big 3. Growing up I always felt he was more relateable in some way.

totally correct Ron, Ichigo is very different especially when compared to every other Main Shonen Jump character, he doesn't follow the same Shonen Jump main character traits and personality, and i think that is why he is a very loved character and what is so different about Bleach and why it is so loved.

not every soul in the soul society comes from the human realm a lot are born there, its safe to assume most souls have been there so long that even if they did come from the human realm, its nothing how it was for any of them or that they would be able to retain that information. for your sake, moving forward understand that most of the soul reapers have no knowledge of the goings on or customs of the human world, they're only job is to purify hollows and help souls move on. their own customs and behaviors do not mirror those of our world.it is a crime to spend to much time in the human realm. Rukia (one of our protagonists,) is being strictly punished for it along with giving up her powers, IE the plot of this entire arc....

I do agree think Ichigo not having some big goal is refreshing. But its not the only one. JJK, Dragon Ball, Demon Slayer. Tho its very popular to have a goal, it gives a hook for readers/watchers to continue watching. So most shows like Bleach, DB, will prob struggle nowadays. Tho I do think Bleach was prob influenced by Db out of the big 3.

The story doesn’t outright explain this so it’s better if you know now instead of questioning it for the rest of the series…. In the Soul Society you can start a whole new life, get married & have kids so there’s millions of generations of people in the Soul Society who were born there & have never once been to the human world It would be extremely rare to come across a Soul Reaper that has a past on Earth

There are Soul Reapers that come out of the outer districts who were humans before they died but Soul Society also has it's own people that live and are born from there. So the Soul Reapers and people born in Soul Society don't always have missions that take them to the human world which is why so many of them are ignorant of humans and human culture.

i think you should react opening 2 now after this episode. keep them after watching the show end you will get only nostalgia. Not hype as much as watching the show recently. Next opening you can let your moderator to check that you should react after you reach some episodes. PS the ending song of this arc just introduce captain and lieutenant of each squad.

Yes, when you die, your soul goes to Soul Society, but there are also souls who are born there and therefore have no idea about the human world. I would even say that most Soul Reapers were born in Soul Society, and Ichigo is actually the only Soul Reaper who is/was also a human 😅 And if you have trouble remembering the characters' names, just write them down. It's not that difficult 😅

By far ichigo is the best protagonist of the big tree! No doubts, ichigo is complex and humanized character. In a way, I think he even reminds me of Goku. Goku doesn't have any super goals or anything, he just wants to fight the strongest. In this aspect of not having grandiose goals, they are similar. In Ichigo's case, it's something very introspective. Ichigo tries to understand himself before anything else, before swinging his sword around. You can see this in past episodes of Zanpakutou and so on.

The thing that makes Ichigo different is the age gap. Most main characters of really big shows are just kids and Ichigo being a teenager really shows. Ichigo's outlook is far less childish than some characters who are known to just yell all the time.
