You mean, ya'll don't look into how stuff is made or manufactured? In this day and age of abundant information??? Couldn't be me. 😌💁🏾‍♀️ But seriously, I'mma just recommend you listen to journalistic podcasts. The ones I listen to are always producing great episodes about modern tech, manufacturing, medicine, etc. You can literally listen to it while you get ready for the day or ride in the car. These are available on Spotify and what I listen to: The Wall Street Journal's The Journal, The New York Times' The Daily & Hard Fork, NPR's Consider This, Spotify Studio's Science VS (<<< super cool!!) & Medical Mysteries, Slate's What Next, Vox's Today Explained & Unexplainable, Mr. Ballen's Medical Mysteries and more.

I get the confusion with the phone. It's not what we expect when we hear cell phone, but it is TECHNICALLY a cell phone, because it's not like they're going to have wires going all the way from their village to Tsukasa's empire. That would take way too long to set up, Calling it a cell phone is supposed to remind you consistently of Taiju's obsession with smart phones and the pair of spies waiting in the Tsukasa empire so we can anticipate the reunion with the reminder over so many episodes. Plus it's a reminder with all the wire construction that it's just a REALLY BIG self contained phone with no wired connection to another phone. The phone itself has a lot of wire but its all for the phone internals to create the signal not to create a wired connection. Can't wait for the drop tomorrow it's my favorite episode everytime I rewatch the show. So excited to see your reaction to it.

Yay, excited for more episodes! Love this series. I agree with ron, to what value, but for me, it usually stops around moral or spiritual/religion concepts if talking to someone aloud. So, I agree with Michelle, that we should always be curious, but that's where I would stop. We have to accept that there may not be things in the world we can comprehend, like murder, space, deep ocean, cults based on hate, etc. But for everything man-made, i want to learn wtf is happening with what i use, even if i don't always do that research

Lack of basic knowledge is breeding ground for conspiracy theories, its like wet environment for mold, conspiracy theories just creep in unnoticed to many people on the internet esp. Facebook

Many people take it for granted and assume that technologies such as the internet and smartphones have always existed, without considering the human progress and effort that made them possible.

When the old man asked Senku "I want to do the thing you did with Chrome the other day" I assumed he was referring to the high five that Senku and Chrome did and so Senku and the old man did the high 5 thing. (13:51) Also it was cool to see the old man's backstory and his realization that he has friends like Chrome and Senku

@Michelle I get it, you go through phases, me too! 😂

Seeing hard-working, kind old people get sad like Kaseki was always gets me. It hits me even harder when he realizes Chrome and Senku are his friends and starts crying.

I feel like its we trust these systems that already placed in society. There really isn't any value in knowing how are daily things works this is why we always refer to experts when asking for professional advice and opinions. When it comes to more subjective things, we can question how things are because there isn't a concrete answer of right and wrong. They are an interesting process but you shouldn't feel bad not knowing because it's the society we placed on trust in to make these items.

"Toxins" aren't really a thing. One of those buzz words people like to use when making shit up.

cellphone: a phone with access to a cellular radio system so it can be used over a wide area, without a physical connection to a network; a mobile phone.
