Just so you guys know, in the manga it only took about one chapter for Oda to explain everyone’s whereabouts and he ended the chapter off with Garp seeing Ace in the prison. so it didn’t kill the vibes for the manga readers, however in the anime it took about 4 episodes to explain everyone’s whereabouts and the anime added extra fluff to stretch out the episodes perhaps Toei Studio wanted extra time to work on the upcoming arc and main story.

About Franky: do you remember in Enies Lobby when he was fighting Chopapa and Chopper was with him. Franky asked him to get cola from the fridge, but he kept getting other random stuff and how it has affected Franky? So for Franky to be his own self, he needs cola as his fuel. So putting tea in there made him like that 🤣 he desperately needs cola!!! Sanji, well, my condolences, dude. FYI Luffy is 17 years old. He has been since episode one, it hasn’t been a year yet

Compare to 4 episodes, I am not saying it’s super dragged out but it’s at least a little bit stretched out compared to the manga and when you consider where we left off with the Luffy stuff you can’t tell me that 4 episodes doesn’t kill the tension and the heat for at least a little bit🤔

This is where the manga does it better. It shows the crew’s whereabouts through cover stories without cutting away from the main story. The anime kinda kills the tension by switching over to this for a few episodes

That's not 100% true though. The manga did it in the same order, Chapter 523 Garp goes to impel down to visit Ace, then we got the crew whereabouts until halfway through chapter 524, which ends with the powerful soldiers gathering at Marineford. Then Chapter 525 opens with Garp talking with Ace. The crew whereabouts did take more time in the anime though, but we still had them splitting the Garp visit in the manga
