I get what Ron is saying. I wouldn't call this a guilty pleasure, but it's become a comfort anime for me. A great MC, great storytelling, and just an overall good time without the stress of the more serious shows I watch if that makes sense

Excited this is startinggg😍 S2 definitely goes deeper in mystery, ready for the theories and confusion 😂 thankfully there are more answers at the end of it compared to S1

FYI, our main character Maomao's name = cat cat whereas the cat Maomao's name = fur fur. The two sound similar in Mandarin but are not the same.

Can't believe we're already starting Season 2~ you guys are in for a ride. Rewatching the first episode of S2 is making me emotional all over again~ iykyk Apothecary Diaries is set in a world inspired by Imperial China, specifically the Tang Dynasty. Oh, and just to explain: the kitten is named MaoMao (毛毛), where 毛 means fur/hair so 毛毛 literally means "furry." Our main girl, MaoMao (猫猫), which is spelled the same in English, but uses different characters, intonation, and meaning. Hers means "cat." Kero!😆

One thing I love about the show is that season one sneakily set up season 2, and season 2 is doing the same for season 3.

Joe Kreigh

The OP and ED for the first half of season 2 are so freaking good man.

Christina H.

Looking forward to this season! 🐸🐸

Maomao's starting to treat Xiaolan like a little sister ("good girl" while stroking her face) lol. Jinshi seeing Maomao's cat-like qualities and coming around to the idea of liking cats is funny lol. I do think cats are cute, unfortunately, I am very allergic to cats
