Idk if in Boruto if it’s the same as it was back when Naruto was in the Academy because it’s actually extremely expensive to send your kid to the academy to become a Shinobi Naruto and Sasuke were exceptions by the third I’m sure some of the students were also exceptions just based on their families lineage on being Shinobi. I just think it’s interesting. They touch on now. The Academy is for not just becoming a Shinobi but a way to get a career path or even teaching maybe it’s like college for kids now.

So many OG Naruto callbacks these eps Also you can tell, based on Boruto’s taijutsu he’s been trained in the Hyuga-style. He uses his palms - which makes sense, given that the kids could always inherit the Byakugan

Iwabe is two years older he failed the exams twice. So he’s a lot bigger than the rest of the kids. I think it’s 14-12/11 year age difference I did not Google search their age so comment below from incorrect but I think that’s how old they are Iwabe is 14 and the rest of them are 12 or 11.

yall were confusing the chunin exam in OG Naruto with this, this is to get out of the academy, as far as OG Naruto goes, this isn't even the genin exam lol, just to get out of the academy, and after that comes the genin exam (the one Kakashi did to Sakura, Naruto and Sasuke)

I think Ron would like Inu Yasha! With the time periods, Japanese folklore, sort of spookiness, and interesting characters, he'd really enjoy it. It's actually a shounen but since Rumiko Takahashi is the creator, its gonna have those shoujo tropes and vibes. Not y’all forgetting about Kakashi’s disguise 🤣 Kakashi fooled y’all again 😂😭 that’s funny as hell but Ron is right it was at the end of Shippuden it was a filler episode when we first seen his disguise and ended up seeing his face. Second time we see it is this episode. Love that Kakashi is back on our screen. And damn Uncle Neji bro I wonder how him and Boruto relationship would’ve been like. Interesting to think about. I get why ppl feel the need to compare Boruto to OG Naruto....but the circumstances are so different. Boruto lives in a world with two parents, and loving household, a family to teach/train him up, no real hardships, and in a time of peace, living comfortably etc. Boruto is definitely a genius and very gifted, but Naruto had so many things stacked against him to be compared

no just the writing is sooo inconsistent, even more then in OG naruto. And whats worse is the wasted potential, this series could be so much better then it is. For example they could skip 2 generations so that naruto and sasuke are naturally weak as they become old, and plot could evolve more naturally. they could also make it seasonal anime which would cut out all the junk material.
