This part of Boruto was actually originally written by kishimoto for the Boruto movie. When the movie came out the Naruto anime wasn't even finished. We haven't gotten to the actual Boruto storyline without kishimoto yet. In my opinion this is the best arc lol

An anime can be enjoyable regardless of what the overall consensus might be .. the anime community can be overall extremely unfiltered,picky, widely opinionated and is full of trolls .. we can make something seem way worse than it actually is … example ALOT of people use to shit on black clover .. the whole time it ran I saw nothing but complaints .. it copied this and that etc .... years later it’s like the narrative has changed and people enjoy it 🤷🏾‍♂️… so regardless of what has been said about Boruto.. as long as you guys enjoy it that’s all that really matters

Sasuke's character development from OG Naruto to Boruto is amazing. He went from a revenge-fueled avenger then friend who lost against talk no jutsu and finally a doting parent, protector and sensei. That was a great pep talk he gave to Boruto. I love how "Departure to the front lines" played at the end. So nostalgic. Nice catch Michelle on Boruto wearing Sasuke's headband in episode 1. You’re technically right there’s nothing indicating that you can absorb infinite energy but you’re wrong and right about the different abilities thing. ALL rinnegan’s (purple ones) can use the 6th path abilities but they also have their own special ability like the mangekyo sharingan. So sasuke has his switch ability and madara has limbo but they both have every 6th path ability. Sasuke was shown absorbing chakra, almighty pull, and planetary devastation against Naruto in their final battle already.

all rinegans have access to 6 paths, so yes madara sasuke and obito could absorb almost everything that is not with gakido, as well as using ningendo to remove souls, shurado to create new arms, tendo for shinra tensei / shibaku tensei / the meteor thing, Chikushodo to summon pain pets and jigokudo (but this one is not really usefull in combat) they didn't do because the author don't want to reuse abilities across characters (with some exceptions when it have sense for the manga like with amaterasu or rasengan) so madara used a little bit of gakido (for naruto rasenshuriken and vs the 5 kage), but mostly used limbo and sasuke used gakido one time, a little bit of tendo but mostly used his amenotejikara sasuke could have destroyed naruto in their last fight in naruto shippuden if he used all of his rinnegan abilities

Do not listen to Boruto haters. They are fed so much misinformation about the series cause they dropped it or watch shorts on a series they refuse to watch themselves. I am glad you both are enjoying the series. The actual facts was the series was already written plot wise. Kishimoto took a break to try to reconnect with his family and create a new manga, it didn't sell as well, but he was always overseeing the manga to make sure the theme, plot, and story were to his liking. This idea that someone got fired is blown way out of portion by Boruto haters. There was this one manga artist was in charge originally, but also another that was known to draw background not the actual characters which is why the manga starts out looking weird. The first guy, the one everyone trashes unfairly, was an OG artist for Naruto. His obsession is in fashion which is why the Boruto characters look the way they do in the manga with more drip. The manga is released on a monthly basis by chapter, but the anime was made to run weekly by the studio. The anime did not always recreate the quality animation that a lot of Naruto fans wanted, so based on how long the manga took and "filler" anime canon got the show labeled as trash before the west got to enjoy it. Spoilers were everywhere, people who read the manga only wanted manga canon episodes. Then they complained when the manga featured characters that were only introduced in the anime. We live in a western society that is all about instant reaction around negative emotion, I reference any new marvel series trailer that drops as proof. Truth is Boruto is one of the top manga in Japan, with its time skip even more beloved. The anime is well loved by its intended target audience OG Naruto fans in Japan who grew up with Naruto. This show was meant to be a bridge for new anime enjoyers, original fans of Naruto and their kids. Black Clover, MHA, Boruto were hyped to be the next big three, but Boruto is the only one still outlasting.

Bruh.. it was because of his "vanishing rasengan", and catch Momo off guard. Not, because he's just the son of Naruto. Both saving everyone from Momoshiki for the first time, and also finishing him momoshiki was because of Boruto's vanishing rasengan. You really think any other kid or anyone else could have done anything like what Boruto did? Any other kid would have died in the battle or definitely scared to do anything. Boruto was the only kid who met Momo up so close during chunin exam.

The only limit is whether his body can handle it or not which is not possible for him. If that was the case, then he could have absorbed Naruto's final attack instead of colliding with Naruto rasenshuriken End of the day, he does not have the durability and chakra capacity of an ohsutsuki or ten tails jinchuriki. Also, absorbing attacks makes you immobile for a duration. Sasuke, Nagato, Jigen, all of them were standing still when they absorbed Justus, which is a major drawback in fast paced hand-to-hand fights. Jigen literally told this point as a flaw when absorbing jutsu.

Let's be clear about the involvement. Kishimoto AND Ikemoto storyboarded Boruto in it's entirety together. The majority of the main events and plot lines were initially Kishimoto's story. Once production started, Ikemoto has made adjustments to story, characters, dialogue, and plot points that Kishimoto supported. The overarching story is a joint project, but on paper and revisions are Ikemoto's design and idea. It's misleading to pretend Kishimoto is not a major part of this as well.

Might be a stretch but Sasuke did say he felt Naruto’s chakra so I’m assuming he felt the chakra of both Otsutsukis as well. That’s how he knew there wasn’t any more enemies.

Miguel is spot on. This is Ikemoto's story now as confirmed by Kishimoto himself. Kishimoto is just a general supervisor but essentially just approves everything that Ikemoto writes with minimal input. Kishimoto being heavily involved is a huge myth.

It's for plot that Sasuke doesn't absorb anything or use any Rinnegan abilities. His Boruto-era nerf is crazy. Way worse than Naruto's "rustiness" that Kurama claims. His teleportation ability also got retconned to just switch places with objects in Boruto when in Shippuden he didn't have restrictions and teleported a sword into Madara. The author drains his chakra whenever he travels dimensions, which is another nerf. I do agree with Abinamikaze that absorbing jutsu takes a lot of time for larger attacks, but let's also not act like Sasuke is not nerfed by the plot. These 2 eps proved that naruto and sasuke (even nerfed versions) > momo and kin. Some people are overrating momo/kinshiki way too much. Are we forgetting in these 2 episodes that base sasuke was outspeeding kinshiki that was trying to kill sarada? Also sasuke said naruto could blow away momo's tailed beast bomb easily and sasuke is in naruto's ballpark in terms of power level. Most people agree that naruto is stronger, which I do too. But unnerfed Sasuke with full rinnegan and no plot nerfs is naruto's equal.

This is why people shit on Boruto NOW because of reasons Ron said that they needed more of the older characters stepping in, having more screen time for valid reason of course. I remember when it was airing, a lot of people DEMANDED more of the Shippuden characters, and which is why it started to go south and the author Kishimoto had to come in and help with the story. Then a lot of people by that time were uninterested. Reminder that it was 1 new episode per week, and no one was getting fed any good material. Also people who read the manga KNEW it would get better, especially with the author stepping in, so it was a division if Boruto was good or not.

People shitting on Boruto has almost nothing to do with the Shippuden characters not being around. Plus, the whole arc we’re watching right now was written by Kishimoto — he only left before the Kara arc, which is arguably the best arc of pre-timeskip Boruto. Boruto mainly got hate because of the fillers and anime canon, that’s pretty much it. Also, since it’s the sequel to one of the least liked arcs in Shippuden, it didn’t help. People who already hated the Kaguya arc obviously weren’t going to enjoy it being the foundation for Boruto’s story.

You know what, I forgot exactly which episode number it was but I guess Sasuke assumed that it was only those 2 or 3 that were together since he had fought with the tall one before and didn’t see any more of them. Or he just might be the only one who can sense them since he has the Rinnegan.

They didn’t get involved because they would only get in the way. When you have a threat at that level it’s only a hindrance having to protect them. Think of it like the kaguya situation. Once she came sasuke said don’t care for kakashi and sakura let them die because they will only be in the way. It’s that same scenario. The dads know better than to not get involved.
