Michelle lmao

Raden

Michelle's reaction did not disappoint 🤣🤣

Luna

It's hereee🐸😆 I've watched this episode so many times but I love it everytimeeee😍 I love how Maomao debriefs for us with certain people and intentions, everything is still connecteddd

AlecSinWonderland

I know a lot of people are into this ship but idk maybe because I’m just super anal about consent. But nothing maomao has done or said has ever made me think that she’s asked for that kind of behavior from shinji. In fact it’s the opposite. It gives me creep vibes. And it gives pretty privilege. Cause if he were any other man without his beautiful features fans would be in arms about it. His advancements just never sit right with me. Idk maybe it’s different in the novels/mangas?

Yaz

The reaction to the 🐸 was worth the wait!

“Getsu” means “moon” in Japanese, so anytime there is a shot of Jinshi in front of the moon it was intentional. Same thing in Bleach with Ichigo - whenever he is shown in a shot with the moon, it is a reference to his move, “Getsuga Tensho”, which means “moon fang heaven-piercer”, and his zanpakto, “Zangetsu”, which means “slaying moon”

🐸🐸🐸 Not Michelle jumping at the finger touch 😂😂😂 Jinshi got it so bad, mans is sick. 🥴 But Maomao is sick too, the way she locked that door and jumped on the bed to admire ox bezoars 😂

ao kaze

Never using 🍆 again 🐸 🐸 🐸

Lmao

Let's go!!! Somewhat large 🐸😆❤️ I'm so loving your reactions especially Michelle's! 🤭 So this basically confirms Jinshi’s true identity and status: he’s the Emperor’s younger brother, Crown Prince Ka Zuigetsu. “Ka” means flower, and it’s a surname reserved exclusively for the Imperial family used only by the Emperor and Jinshi. “Getsu” means moon, so “Zuigetsu” translates to Auspicious Moon. Hence, he’s publicly known as the Moon Prince.

Yea I didn't quite get that either in the anime, but now I get it after reading the light novel. Both about Maomao and Jinshi. Though Jinshi's behavior is still unacceptable lol. The author even said on twitter by herself that Jinshi's definitely a "red flag" in today's era 🤣 Also, the author said the main story in Apothecary Diaries is about mystery, and she always forgets the love stuffs then add them briefly, so we actually don't really have to worry or pay attention about the love story here (even though many fans especially Japanese fans love it🤣).

AlecSinWonderland

Ha! That’s funny that the author said that herself. So she’s aware. Makes a little more sense

Michelle Lam

hahaha yes!! frog emoji has a whole new meaning now

I mentioned this last video as well. As much as I think JinMao is cute and these kinds of moments crack me up, Jinshi is being extremely forceful and Maomao is not shown being open to it. He has to learn to respect Maomao's boundries if he actually cares about her as a person.

AlecSinWonderland

Right!! My poor sis is holding off on pushing this guy off her, lest she be beheaded for doing so. She even says so 😭 and he’s a man so he’s either aware and takes advantage of the power dynamic or is clueless to it and thinks that because she isn’t saying no that must mean she’s up for it. I think it’s the latter. At least he doesn’t seem predatory on purpose

Phyllis

But that does not rule the theory of the baby swap, so he still could be the son of the Emperor. For now, at least his Imperial status is confirmed.

mamimumemo

Right, that's also why I was quite surprised actually to see whats inside Maomao's mind in the light novel, she actually kinda like or accepting Jinshi (and this is not a spoiler because those were her inside monologues up to this episode). That's when their weird relationship clicked for me, after reading the novel. Even though Jinshi is still creepy as hell haha.

Ilsuk Yang

Oh Jinshi, you shouldn't have given her the ox bezoar first lol. Girl couldn't hear anything you said after that 🤣🤣🤣 With Lihaku and Basen, there's a few ways you can tell them apart. Lihaku is a bit taller, has a softer, kinder looking face, and the dog is almost always with him in this episode (few times the dog isn't there with him). Lihaku is also a much more personable, outgoing person than Basen. Meanwhile, Basen always has a harder edge to him in demeanor and appearance. I don't think we've seen him smile up until this point (maybe in the previous episode). He's very militaristic and disciplined in his approach as compared to the friendly nature of Lihaku. Also, no frogs were harmed in this episode. This isn't a Robin-Franky situation at the end of the Water 7 saga, now lol
