What i hate about bleach is the same reason I absolutely hate superman movies and cartoons ever made. The MC always willing to get their asses kicked all over the place when they are clearly capable of doing more. like cmon...that finisher you just pulled...u could have done that half an hour ago and finished the fight but u had to get your ass handed to you for dramatic effect

Your finisher isn't supposed to be the first move you do, especially when your in a series of battles escalating in difficulty against the weakest opponent your gonna come across, that's like basic strategy. He should have just used his bankai earlier though

The hollow mask just looks worse in the anime unless the episode has really good character art, it's not really a design thing

No it shouldnt be the first thing. But you fight and escalate based on how strong your opponent is because u dont want to play your cards too early. i get it. But hes fighting an already released former arrancar. Why is he still in base form when he clearly is too weak to even fight back? Why take the ass kicking first?

Yes he is one of the espadas at the table. As he said he is Espada No.9. Meaning Top 10 strongest in Arrancar. Also all the other ones chad, ichigo and Ishida facing are not Espadas. There’s a lot of difference in strength. Just wanted you guys to know.

Kaien as a cliffhanger is crazyy🤣 that line that dorudōni said about chocolate can be confusing butttt, he said before this that Ichigo is being too ‘sweet’ which means he’s being too naive, nice, and easy on him hence the link to chocolate it’s kind of random but if you understand the wording then it make sense, anime does this a bit

Bleach really has a lot of awesome scenes, but sometimes it just gets unnecessarily goofy. Sometimes it even feels like a filler episode lol.

Not only Rukia goes immediately against an espada, one of the 10 strongest arrancars, for her first fight after entering Hueco Mundo... But she also comes face to face with the man she loved and killed. Aouch.

That's true to an extent, but there needs to be conflict in the show otherwise yes the main character will walk through everyone easily. And you already have a ton of people complain that Ichigo is a Gary Sue (which he isn't really). Imagine if he wins way more fights what those people would say lol. But also the reason he didn't immediately use a finisher is explained by the literal episode or the ones before. He was thinking irrationally and didn't want to exhaust his power because he'd have to fight stronger people later on. His thinking makes 1000% sense logically speaking, but the problem is he misjudged this enemy's battle strength and didn't think he needed to power up initially (and wrongfully) to beat him.

Fair point for sure. I haven't read the manga or watched the anime in a while, but I bet some of the goofy moments are to pad out the episode's runtime in comparison to the speed at adapting the manga. I get this idea for the explanation behind this due to One Piece. Side note, but I would not the recommend One Piece anime to you based on your comment. It's like this but way more extreme with all the gags and goofy elements that serve no purpose other than padding

Your opinion on Ichigo's mask is valid and its partly due to difference in art design between the manga and anime as the art in the manga was a lot better and expressive but only partly... You will eventually see :)

Yeah, long-running anime all end up dragging things out to stay ahead of the manga’s release pace, so pacing issues are pretty much unavoidable. But among them, Bleach’s comedic timing is honestly really bad. I think it might be because of the OST… sometimes it just makes it really hard to watch. The filler-like character designs also play a part, I think. But even so, I really love Bleach. big 3 for sure

I really hope they remake OG Bleach with tybw animation and pacing. I know One Piece is getting a remake, they also teased a remake for Bleach and Naruto but we might not get them.

Can you imagine what these fights would look like in 2025 with a good studio behind it like how 1000 year blood war arc is kinda wishing they did a bleach redo but then but keep the outro and intro songs and art the same for nostalgia but besides that honestly still alot of epic moments to come before this arc is over so it's whatever.... When it comes to nostalgia , bad ass characters, epic moments/fights Bleach is my #1 One Piece #2 Naruto #3 .....and im all caught up on all of them anime wise

I mean you have a one piece pfp and it happens several times in it as well, also it makes sense in this context, ichigo doesn’t want to use all his strength on someone who isn’t even ranked as one of the top officers , he thought it would be embarrassing and a testament to his weakness to save orihime

This doesn’t happen in one piece. And my pfp doesn’t mean anything. I love bleach almost as much as I love One Piece. You keep saying that it’s to save energy for the tougher opponents, but how is getting beat to the point of exhaustion helping with that? He doesn’t know how many more tough opps he’s gonna face. Also he’s on a time sensitive mission to save Orihime because he doesn’t know what’s happening to her. The smart thing to do is to save his hollow transformation for when he needs it as his trump card but he should have went BanKaii as soon as he started having difficulty in that fight and not let it drag on that long. The difference with luffy is that. If he’s against a tougher opponent he’s going into GEAR from the jump.

Getting beat and bruised up from the first enemy you face with so much at stake and so little info on your enemy is not a good start. Idc what y’all say. That defeats the purpose of saving energy for tougher opponents if you won’t be in the best condition possible to use your skills or even take hits that you can be sure will hit much harder.

I never watched Bleach before this is my first time. But maybe the guy facing Rukia just plays with peoples emotions. Like maybe his ability is just to fool you. Kind of like a genjutsu type thing. So whenever he takes the mask off you just see whatever is on your mind or something. That's just my theory since he changes his voice and stuff.

I am loving it so far I think it’s amazing. I just get confused on power scaling sometimes. Like how can Ichigo and others go into the hallows area and expect to beat them when they were struggling against them in the real world. But so far I am loving the story and fights

Don’t know if you’ve seen Dbz but at this point in the show ichigo is kinda the Goku type of I’m being honest .. that’s the easiest way to explain his power scaling .. it seems like he trains and fights .. get stronger after battles and the power of friendship 😂

This set of episodes makes Ichigo look dumb. Since it changes the perception of those who only watch the anime. Ichigo, for some reason, finds it sensible to take all that damage instead of using a bit of his energy to end the fight there and then. In the manga, he does not take this much damage and is quick to resort to using his Bankai. 40:16 Actually, you are mistaken here. Hollows slain by a zanpakuto either go to hell or Soul Society. Hell is not Hueco Mundo; both are different. Kaien's case is the only different one.

Like Luffy, Ichigo makes friends wherever he goes
