Some of the biggest complaint about this arc is that some of these throwaway arrancar fights drags on way too long, and are totally skippable. Just why do we need 4 episodes of Ishida fighting that arrancar girl????

Blame the studio for this, they decided to add so much filler and fluff. They even butchered a lot of moments that's why the manga is better. but all big anime suffer this problem OP and DBZ also have this problem, OP shows 1 minute of a fight for like 30 episodes and DBZ fights just keep going on and on. But the next 2 and on are great

I wouldn't say they're skippable but they definitely do drag on because of the slow pacing, this isn't really a problem with the arc it's more of a problem with the outdated long running anime structure

The way Uryu utilized his techniques were fire. His sword reminded me of a lightsaber lol. Pesche VA is Toji (JJK) Zeke (AOT) Aokiji (One Piece) etc Quincy attack names are German like Ron noticed with Uryu. Arrancar attack names are spanish Soul reaper attack names are Japanese Brazo Derecha Del Gigante means Right arm of the giant

Agreed, that the anime elongates these fights to a boring extent. This section of the arc was such a drag to get through even when binging (I feel bad for the original weekly watchers XD). Still a cakewalk compared to One Piece though. I'm on Fishman Island right now and that has the worst pacing of any show I've ever seen
