The Revolutionary Army aren’t necessarily “in hiding” …they are doing things that are impactful for the world and are opposing the corruption of the World Government daily but we just haven’t been seeing any of those things in the story cuz the story focus was the Pirate world Marineford war had nothing to do with Dragon or the Revolutionary Army members so they had no reason to join the battle…Dragon wouldn’t know that Luffy and Ace are step brothers too so there’s no way for him to know that Luffy would be going there…if he knew Luffy would be there then it would be a different story And yeah…like Ron said, Whitebeard definitely brought a lot of balance in the world…his fall will cause a huge ripple effect on the world like Dragon just said

Rev Army had no reason to show up at Marineford. Their fight is with the World Government, not the Marines. Marines = law enforcement, and they’re still needed to catch criminals, so the world still needs the marines. The Revolutionaries are after the system at the top — the World Government that creates oppressive rules and laws, like slavery, classism, propaganda, and restricting access to the truth (e.g. the Void Century, history no one is allowed to study or you” ll ends up like Ohara)

well. considering WB whole pirate crew lowkey got cooked. it kinda shows how strong the Government is, Like WB Pirate got control every once in a while and WB could technically kill everyone including his crew if he tsunami. But if he wanted to win without kill everyone, the war actually showed multiple times that WB crew was rarely in control. From start to finish, Navy proved to be superior. Starting from Pacifictas entrance, Warlord dominating Oars, Encircling Wall, Akainu rain, them killing Ace, WB deciding to leave as soon as they got Ace, WB YONKO level crew proved completely inferior despite how badass WB was. This is completely ignoring Straw's ragtag team from Impel Down helping the Whitebeards and Akainu's plot to get Squared against him. Since we don't know Dragon's army and the overwhelming strength Navy had over WB crew, Dragon prob assumed his army and WB crew prob couldn't win the war in a traditional sense. Especially since WB plan from the beginning was to save Ace, not beat the Navy.

I dont think you guys get the Revolutionary Army or their mission. From the way you hear the Government and the Marines talk about them, they are spread out around the world just as the navy is spread out everywhere. This means that they can combat the actions of the navy at every level and as you see on Robins Island, they are also engaged in liberating enslaved or opressed people and encouraging them to join their army. They seem more like vigilantes that are in a somewhat Robin hood-type situation so I do not think that they would directly get involved in an all out war with the marines esp one that involves an emperor of the sea. The Revolutionaries are not pirates. Yes luffy is Dragon's son but still, I do not believe Dragon would risk an all out battle just to save him in his position. Just like Garp woudnt risk his position either.

The revolutionary army are 100% enemies with the marines i honestly have zero idea what you are even talking about, the marines are the world governments dog willing to do anything the government tell them to do and is the main way in which the world government upholds its oppressive system. So the revolutionaries are definitely enemies with the marines
