So glad you guys watched this! Definitely became one of my favorites out of nowhere. Can't wait for season 3 next year hopefully

I don't know if you noticed, but the hairpin Maomao gave Shisui saved her life. The hairpin was exactly where Maomao stuck it, and that's exactly where the bullet hit. When Shisui exchanged it, the spot where the bullet hit was visible.

Hopefully we get season 3 soon

I knowwww, nobody wanted this to end! Yeah, I was clapping for Michelle when she got it right. ✨Oh yeah, this is why we call Jinshi "a freaky frog" 😂. Biting? Too freaky 4 me! lmao ✨I mentioned it before, but yeah, like you said Michelle, fan theories or headcanon is that Maomao and her whole family are on the spectrum. Whether the author knows it or not. Hell, the author might be on the spectrum and doesn't realize it! ✨And if you didn't notice, the hair stick had a bullet stuck in it. It saved Shisui's life 😊 Anyway, I'm glad y'all enjoyed Apothecary Diaries, especially Ron. Hope we can get some more of these softer genres in. 😋

It’s overrrr😭so bittersweet Thanks for loving this show, loved the reaction through and through💕 Some people have mentioned this but, there was that ending scene previously of the bush shining, was kind of a hint to the bullet hitting the stone of the hair pin😳😆

Michael

Rewatch when she pulled the hair srick out and see if you notice something

Really glad you guys enjoyed this because when I first seen this I was so interested as I didn’t had any expectations going into this but by the end of season 2 it really ended up ranking it up high in my anime tier list. Can’t wait for season 3 🔥

I'm so glad both of you enjoyed The Apothecary Diaries! ❤️ Michelle totally nailed it with her guess that the children took the resurrection medicine. Ron trying to jump in and claim both of you guessed it had me laughing! 😂 The intimate romance and cute moments between MaoMao and Jinshi always makes me go crazy and scream with excitement! 😆❤️ Jinshi literally being a flirty spoiled child in front of MaoMao is too damn cute!!!🤭❤️ And MaoMao's reaction is just so MaoMao!🤭😂 And yes, it was actually hinted that the children had taken the resurrection medicine: - Shisui directly said they took 'medicine'. - She also talked about insects and their offspring, which ties into her underlying message. Here’s an interesting fact about the insects she was referring to that might clarify her intentions: Many insects lay eggs before winter, or remain in larval or pupal stages to survive the cold. The adult insects typically die off, while the young enter a dormant state called diapause, where their development pauses until warmer spring temperatures return. Shisui wasn’t being direct, but this was her point: the “corrupted” adults were meant to die, while the children, like the dormant young insects, would survive with the help of the resurrection medicine. MaoMao, hoping Shisui survived, didn’t want her body to be found even when spring came. If you remember in this Season, at the end of Episode 23, there's that moment when the soldier who let MaoMao escape noticed something shiny in the bushes. That’s where Shisui had fallen, and it subtly hinted at her survival. And that shiny object was Jinshi’s silver hairpin, the one MaoMao gave to Shisui. It ended up blocking the bullet that would’ve killed her. Later, when Shisui traded the hairpin away, you can actually see a bullet dent in it, confirming it saved her life.

ya finished fmab, death note, & kaguya sama :)

Michelle Lam

Omg thank you for the little details! Wow I did not catch the little dent in the hair pin! How did you notice this? Did you read the manga? I might actually read the manga now to catch all the details haha

Michelle Lam

Ok I actually did kinda notice the misshapen part but didn’t think much of it! That’s so crazy!!

I'm so glad you guys watching this show! I can't wait the next season, or everything to be animated, I already caught up with the latest chapter of light novel 🤣🤣🤣 P.S. Jinshi got "hard" is kinda funny but make sense, he didn't have to drink medicine to press his manhood anymore since he was no more eunuch, and he was in a war, it naturally makes men want more to produce their offspring. He said himself that he was surprised he still got that feel lol. Also Maomao said he got more like a man so it triggered his feeling for her HAHA.

Not the same genre Persay but ya’ll really need to watch KINGDOM if u like these time piece anime … it’s action and strategy based but set in like a similar time period … several seasons out already and the new season just dropped a few days ago

Phyllis

I’ve read both the manga and the light novel. When Shisui was on the rooftop and was hit by the second shot, there was no visible blood on her chest before she fell. From that, you can infer that the silver hairpin MaoMao had placed on Shisui's chest may have stopped the second, potentially fatal shot. However, the fall from the rooftop would still have been deadly. That said, the following scene showing bushes and snow, suggests that the impact might have been softened, allowing her to survive. Later, the guard then found and rescued her.

Hi guys. Its my first comment. I joined for bleach reactions and that was great, but these AD reactions really made me appreciate you both on a different level. I still can't wait to see the bleach final season though!

Ron (from the s2e23 reaction): No, they're dead. They're dead. They're dead. Ron from this reaction: We called it boo!!! 🤣🤣🤣 So, I have issues with Loulan/Shisui/Tamamo (jeez, all these names lol) still being alive (I know, I know, the hairstick saved her life and all that). Even with those extenuating circumstances, I'll always have issues with endings like this. It just never sits right with me when shows do the fake death thing to start a new life thing (I'm looking at you Stranger Things, although, it's way more earned here in Apothecary Diaries than it was with Eleven). Having said that, seasons 1 and 2 did everything else so well, that this is a small (but annoying) issue for me. Kyou-u surviving as Chou-u is sweet. Glad the other kids (and Shisui/Suirei) got another chance, too ❤️
