I agree with Ron in terms of the Anime being way more impactful. I feel like the live action lacked a bit when it came to the back story, that’s not to say it wasn’t great though, but there was definitely more to it in the anime, and understandably so, I mean the live action can only do and have so much, compared to the anime that stretched it out to 5-6 episodes with more dialogue.

the between season will be shortened now that they're prepared.. during season 1 they're not ready because they dont know yet if season1 will be a success or not so it took 3years to get this s2.. i expect a season every year atleast.. i heard filming s3 will be done by around june this year..

Yeah anime chopper flashback was a couple eps and they went into more detail like the process of him getting the mushroom etc live action I don’t blame them for cramming as much and excluding a lot cuz they only had 8 eps to cover like 5 different arcs

I mean Vivi is still considered a Strawhat even though she's not a permanent member. After all, she does have a country to rule. I loved this episode not gonna lie I was indifferent to Chopper in the live action at first when I saw the trailer for season 2 but I'm starting to warm up to him.

that doesn't make any sense. Season 2 and 3 were filmed at the same time. So season 3 might come soon, but they'll wait to see it's reception before green lighting S4. So between 3 and 4 we'll have at least 2 years to wait.

they show pretty much nothing of him getting the mushroom in the anime or manga. Hiriluk's character is the most different from the manga/anime. He isn't really a quack at all in the LA. In the manga/anime he's actually a dangerously bad doctor. The LA fucked up one very important point though, Hiriluk's first meeting with Chopper is when he is in human point, the one that looks most like a monster. Demonstrating Hiriluk's character as one who doesn't judge based on appearance. He sees human point Chopper but not a monster. Having his first meeting be with adorable hybrid point Chopper doesn't get the same message across.

season 2 and 3 are not filmed at the same time.. the scriptwriter literally posted a few months ago (probably December but not sure) that he just finished writing the script for s3.. and there are articles posting that the timeline of filming s3 will be finish around june this year.. it will take time in editing for CGI so i expect s3 will be around fall of 2027 to spring of 2028. what you probably saying in the reports a few months ago was that season 2 will be coming soon and they're preparing for season 3, but not filmed at the same time.. most likely, there already scenes for iconic characters that are expected to be in alabasta arc.. but the scenes for skypea arc is probably what the timeline of filming that will end in around june..

To you point on hoping to see the next season soon! One Piece Live-Action Season 3 began filming on November 24, 2025, in Cape Town, South Africa. Production is ongoing and is scheduled to wrap on June 19, 2026. They immediately started filming for season 3 after completing 2 so they're technically ahead of schedule in terms of what people are expecting

Yeah this episode crushed me. Saddest episode by far of the live action. And the fact that Chopper is so cute. Makes me wanna rewatch his backstory in the anime. The actor who played Dr. Hiriluk deserves an Oscar. He did phenomenal. Imo these are the best kind of reactions especially for episodes like these, where its super emotional, not much dialogue and you forget the camera is on. It's just super natural. Same thing happened with Marineford. Iykyk
