This Sunday (29th) at 8pm CT we will be live in discord talking all things Bleach! We finished OG tonight and start TYBW tomorrow after the discussion! we are HYPED!!! I wouldn’t watch any of the trailers or even the OP/EDs if you want to have a genuine reaction to the arc. Most of these things have major spoilers.

I think they should watch the trailer. Didn't we all watch it too as well as other reactors? I can see how you say there's spoilers but its not like its an opening, its a trailer. I think it just builds the hype. When I watched it I didnt feel I was spoiled I was just excited so I think they should watch it imo.

The trailer was made initially with the intention of reeling back the bleach audience who hadn't seen the show in 10+ years so there's a lot of big spoilers for the sake of hype. A lot of ppl went ahead and read the manga by that point. Since you guys are just coming off of watching the original for the first time, I'd say it's best to go into tybw blind! But whatever you decide, enjoy!

They don't know who the villains are or who the main villain is. The trailer would spoil them too much. (EDIT - just rewatched it, and they literally spoil the best part of s1 right at the end lmao. They really should not watch it.)

I don’t believe in any of these “don’t watch the trailers” comments. It’s meant to be watched. We all watched them as well for the hype when it came out and weren’t “spoiled” so how can they be? It’s genuinely no different than not watching the trailer for a demon slayer movie or anything else and we all watched it. This whole not watching trailers thing is made up and plaid out at this point. If it wasn’t meant to be watched then the creators wouldn’t have made them. They should be experiencing the content just like we all did. Has literally nothing to do with being reactors that makes it different.

When I watched it I didn't feel spoiled, just hype. Ofc the confusion too cuz you don't know what's going on (if you didn't read the manga) but that's the point of watching a trailer. Now it'd be different for openings if we say don't watch cuz obvious spoilers

I still feel the same way on openings even tbh. Every season the openings always change and are just like the trailers to hype you up. If they weren’t meant to be watched then the creators wouldn’t have them and put in all the time with different groups making the intro and outro songs. It’s suppose to be cool and hype you up. And seeing people without context is literally not a spoiler and just excites you and creates a guessing game of “who are they” as we watch. This whole “no watching trailers and openings” is completely made up and only started a couple years back from weird gate keeping anime die hards that felt their way was the only way and it spread. Yet they did just like the rest of us all watched it so it just doesn’t make sense. You watch it once or twice, get the hype, then for the rest of the season you click skip because you’ve already watched it like the rest of us lol just like how everyone who watches one piece and is caught up you know damn well has watched the Elbalf trailer and gonna watch the intro yet will be will the same people telling them to not watching ANYTHING💀

(It doesn’t make sense to watch the trailer) I get that normal watchers “were forced to watched the trailers” but why watch a summary of something that’s only 40 episodes long? They have the privilege of not having to wait 10 years in between the story to get hyped for TYBW.

What’s a spoiler when you don’t know what you’re looking at? Zero context? Zero voiced lines? It’s just hyped visual frames. Saying “massive” spoilers is just outright not true and talking out of emotion and zero fact. And clearly shows you don’t know what a “massive” spoiler is and out of touch. You wanna say in your own opinion it has some spoilers? That’s fine it’s okay to disagree. But saying massive in general is just emotionally charged with no base.

Reactors should be able to enjoy the same experience just like we did. The whole point is just us watching their “reaction” to it. And since you did watch the trailers then you know damn well what happens in those differs from the actual fight scene that happens in the episode with completely different panels? What's wrong with giving them a heads up that there's spoilers when they're literally about to start the series now? I think that previous commenter was just highlighting that for reactors it'd make a more authentic and enjoyable reaction to go in as blind as possible, especially considering that they in particular, happen to be heavy on speculating and theorizing with shows they watch. And since they're both petty intuitive there's a good chance they'll pick up on more than just "hyped visual frames". Just a humble opinion however

Not watching openers and trailers was never an original way to watch anime or entertainment when it first came out so again just making more stuff up for your own argument on no basis. And lastly you countered your own statement again, thinking it was on your side🤣 taking about them liking to speculate, YES watching it by definition would give them MORE to speculate and talk about by literally seeing more content to talk about? The EXACT reason why Ron tonight literally said he thinks he wants to watch it at the end of the discussion to have more content to upload and put on YouTube. I agree people forgot that we had a super long time waiting for bleach to come out all we had was phone games and games like jump force and word of mouth is how we got a little spoiled because no one knew if bleach was going to come back it's a big difference from someone watching a trailer and getting spoiled right before they watch the Arc it just isn't necessary like why ?
