When Madara absorbed the Ten Tails he became the Otsutsuki sacrifice for Kaguya to come back. This was only possible because madara was able to activate both sides of the Otsutsuki bloodline with Senju and Uchiha chakra in his body. Black Zetsu was key in this he was the first Karma, a living one.

As far as I’m aware, Isshiki was never referenced in Shippuden. Although Momoshiki and Kinshiki were shown in shippuden for a split second frame. Also about the power scaling Ron mentioned, it is true that these villains are much stronger than many of the ones in Naruto. Isshiki himself is believed to have been stronger than Kaguya. Don’t worry. All these questions will be answered in the best way possible throughout the next few episodes.

Just like with Jubidara and Kaguya and Momoshiki we have to use taijutsu and Mitsuki uses ninjutsu alot and sagemode so thats getting absorbed. Isshiki's ability is to shrink items and himself down to a microscopic level and return to his original size so you can't make yourself 6ft. I love how Kurama was like yeah Naruto shut up bro is choosing not to kill us cause we fodder to him.

also, kinda crazy how you see the main characters for a show that we've been watching since kindergarten get wiped like that. It almost doens't feel real, like a shock n awe type of thing. It's a cool fight, but at the same time sad they getting beat like that... In Naruto Shippuden episode 205 when Tobidara is explaining his plan to the 5 kage he talks about the 10 tails and the 10 tails they show in the flashback during his Tobi's explanation is the 10 tails we saw in these episodes. The 10 tails we fought in the 4th great ninja war arc was different then the one they showed during tobi explanation in episode 205 of shippuden. Always thought that was weird but now in Boruto were seeing the 10 tails they showed from that flashback in episode 205. Kind of a cool call back. This fight is so peak. Jigen is a great villain. Just goes to show how strong he is, to put in perspective he's stronger than Madara. Adult Naruto & Sasuke full power couldn't even mess with him. Insane. Loved the animation with the orange and blue light with how fast Naruto & Sasuke were moving. So much peak rn with Boruto and TYBW 🔥 and this is the first time Isshiki has been revealed. You're wrong, Google is free dude. Kishimoto took over as the main writer again in this arc as the previous guy was fired. The artist is the same, but Kishimoto is in control of the Boruto story from this arc onwards

@Aled That is false. It is true that Kishimoto wrote the framework for Boruto, but the story is ultimately being developed by Ikemoto once Kodachi leaves. From the official Naruto website -> https://naruto-official.com/en/news/01_2320 Kishimoto: It was a completely different workflow. For Naruto, I was in charge of both the story and the main illustrations while Ikemoto helped with things like illustrating backgrounds and drawing shadow doppelgangers. For Boruto, Ikemoto is completely in charge of the story and main illustrations. It really is Ikemoto's manga.

The show really doesn't do enough to build him up at all, but despite how Konohamaru gets mopped up all the time, I believe the idea is that he is one of the stronger jonin of his generation. His defeats are meant to show that the new threats like Kara would wipe the floor with every other jonin the same way. The problem is that Boruto hasn't given him any good moments to begin with.

and the writer doesn't expect us to be naive. These characters are smart and strategic. Like we learned from this series we know what the power scale is. Jigen absorbing ten tails power alone was a massive buff and his teleportation with absorption can literally negate ALL of their attacks. I'm starting to think even GENJUTSU wouldn't have worked on Jigen cause Isshiki would've woken him up. Throwin shuriken at Jigen he would just shrunken or repel them.
