mike sousa

Cant wait for the kenpachi tattoo

Dwayne Townsend

Honestly .. bleach isn’t one of those anime you really cry to imo so I wouldn’t sweat it

Ken Lang

I actually am glad that the mod suggested they don't read any comments for awhile. But I wanna take a minute to address the mod directly. Dear Mister Mod, assuming you know as much Bleach as us, I trust that in some cases you can remind Ron and Michelle of things they had already seen or heard of since they won't see my comment for awhile. Please let them know back in the turn back the pendulum mini flashback arc, Shunsui told everyone that Kirio Hikifune got promoted to the "Royal Guard" in other words squad zero. She was the squad 12 captain Kisuke Urahara replaced. That is not spoiler but rather of piece of info from long ago that left their mind which is why they didn't connect it this episode. I trust you will tell them yourself since you are being proactive with the comment section which I respect because people can't help themselves on here.

Jnasty

In Turn Back the Pendulum Kirio is mentioned as having joined squad 0 but I dont think they actually show her.

mArK

Fun fact, Unohana Shikai is called Minazuki that translates to “Tear of Blood”, her Bankai also writes Minazuki, but it translates to “The end of all things” 😱

Saith D. Uchiha

Haven’t they we already SEEN the soul king?

jeremychavez

the Kukaku calling isshin uncle is explained later

Michael

Ron lmao

Maxxy

Remember in hueco Mundo when unohana showed up and a squad of arrancar just dipped immediately after meeting her? They knew ball.

ra-TH_

Murder mommy has arrived... also if you go back and look it makes sense why everyone was scared of her and why that arrancar wanted nothing to do with her 🤣

Powered By Rice

ginjo and those two were dead that's why they are on soul society

Saith D. Uchiha

The first Kenpatchi I can’t spell her name as one of my favorite bankai after I learned this, I just realize she was just one of the most sick characters

Dwayne Townsend

Speaking of jjk characters who fought yuta .. that guy has sung Jin woo voice actor in the eng dub .. really good

TheRealN

Remember you guys said their brother looks like ichigo with black hair...

Luker

w michelle calling grimmy bae

Raphael

I think Ginjo & Tsukishima are actually dead, but like you said 25:14 Their souls were sent to the Soul Society

DRoger

Dw we don't blame you for microdosing last drop Michelle! XD

DRoger

Can I just say I really appreciate the audio quality. Other channels I enjoy dont have that crisp episode audio!

David Waller

Happy Birthday Michelle 🎂 🥳!

King Kai

Of course weve seeenThe a soul King already. It was after the time skip in Sabaody Archipelago. In the rock concert 😩 remember?

Soul

One of my comments was taken down even tho it wasn't a spoiler

Jnasty

Squad 0 explained why they didnt help when they first met our cast. Their stated reason is its not their job. Their job is to protect the Soul Palace, its the 13 Court Guard Squad's job to protect the Seireitei.

DCMH

I missed that uncle line when i first watched it ngl

Brandon Holmes

Cant wait for them to find out Ichigo roots.

victoria t

“I know his voice, I know his body” 😂😂😂😂

Bishop

Yup they are cousins and Ichigos Dad is there uncle for real.

zyo

next triple drop gonna be crazy

David

Deleting potential spoiler. Yhwach is pronounced "Yu-Ha-Ba-Ha".

Draken of Toman

Squad zeros job is to protect the soul king that’s why they didn’t show up

zyo

kirio (pink hair captain from squad zero) wasn't shown before but they mentioned her getting promoted to squad zero during the flashback for shinji and hiyori

gggoos

Unohana has had several foreshadows throughout the series before this reveal. First time in Soul Society after aizen dipped, squad 11 members were in the squad 4 barracks recovering and they were talking shit about squad 4 and the squad 11 members were scared as hell when unohana showed up behind them. Second time was in hueco mundo with the arrancar guy not wanting to fight unohana at all. Third time was both kyouraku and ukitake showing fear or "respect" to a senior during the flashback arc with the vizards. This is also the first? time Squad Zero was mentioned in the series and if I remember correctly Kirio is the captain who got promoted (the purple haired captain in squad zero). Unohana VA did an amazing job changing her tone and especially the eerie voice when she goes bankai. This comment isn't about you guys missing out on it because they are very subtle and can't really connect them together. Especially when they are sometimes just done as a "comedic relief". It's just a nice thing to look back at and realize how far ahead this had been thought out.

Hissa

The reason why the Fullbringers returned is based on the basic rules of the Bleach universe. During the Fullbringer arc, they were living humans in the World of the Living. When a human dies in Bleach, their soul simply crosses over to the Soul Society. Because they are Fullbringers with high spiritual pressure, they kept their human forms, memories, and powers after death. Kukaku Shiba later found them wandering in the Rukongai (the outer districts of the Soul Society) and took them in.

RubberBuckyy

We really need to find a way to let them know how to say “Yhwach” lol

Akimitzu

Ron reads the manga confirmed.

AvatarDan

Peak fiction 🔥🔥 see yall Wednesday

Ahupnatun

Haha if you go back and see some of the older stuff with Unohana, you will see how most people are afraid of her. It seemed like it was one of those tropes of them acting afraid of her, but nope, they were actually afraid of her 😂

King Kai

Uncle. I think they related. After all. Their big bro that pass sway look exactly like ichigo right?

Ahupnatun

About the pauses, I personally don't mind it at all. And you guys do this most of the time, but I'd just say after a pause and brainstorming just a 10 second rewind so you don't miss stuff. But you guys have been doing it really well in my opinion!

Hector Tavares

If possible, a mod could let them know about something they missed in this episode due to the excitement of the fight—they thought Zaraki was avoiding death, but there’s a line in the middle of the fight where Unohana says she is bringing him back. Basically, she is almost killing him and then healing him, which is why he loses consciousness and comes back. It’s a small detail, but it would be good for them to know. It’s a bit sad that we can’t share this kind of information with them because some people think they’re experts by giving spoilers, when in reality it just shows they can’t discuss things using only the information available up to the episodes already watched.

Mavoal

Hopefully now its making sense, why in OG bleach, some of the captains and ichigo were kind of scared of unohana, and always smiled nervously around her. she is badass😂😂

Roberto Rojas

Tbh only the last 3 episodes should’ve been triple drop if any at all it’s hard enough to process all the information

Hxlo

W KENNY💯💯

YoungKojie

Unohana was nicknamed Yachiru a long time ago. That's the name Zaraki gave to his lieutenant, the little pink-haired girl, when he found her as a baby on OG Bleach. Because Unohana "Yachiru" was the only person he admired.

Thamor

Ron don't lie reading manga, we all know you can't read.

SpartanManJDOGG

Ik there have been a lot of reveals guys but cmon Ichigo and Kaien looking similar should be clear by now as to why that is lol.

Miggie88

Feel like tybw fights deserve to be ranked

Daniel Walker

A few things I want to mention, that will hopefully reach you thru our comments: - Please try to remember the last episode of the Fullbring arc when Ichigo specifically wanted to bring back Ginjo's body to the World of the Living. On the side, the Fullbring folks are and always will be humans. In the cycle of Life in Bleach when humans die they go to ... where? It matters what life they had and in the case of Tsukishima - how he died. His last moments did not represent any extreme negative emotions worthy of him becoming a Hollow, so he passed on without pain or regret. He even thanked Sushigawara at the very end, in his last moment. - The "uncle" situation should be clear at this current point in Bleach, but without saying too much try to think about Kaien and what we know about him, even the seemingly meaningless mentions of his looks. He is the answer to all of your confusion. - The folks at the Royal Palace have no business with the Gotei 13 and vice versa. The Royal Guard's only job and focus is the Soul King and nothing else, no matter what ever happens down in Soul Society. Also, Hikifune (the food lady) is mentioned in the "Pendulum Arc", the one arc we got before everyone fights Aizen and his top 3 Espada.

Kefka Palazzo

Kubo was doing this with his health be horrible. However he came back healthier than ever with a hungry animation studio (Studio Pierott) who wishes to prove themselves to the anime world again. Both have been cooking with the TYBW anime and also I get the feeling cour 4 is going to do some very beautiful things. May the final cour of TYBW spark the flames for the future Bleach projects. May they also be successful!

Weyard Wiz

19:16 Michelle "My bae grimmjow" Ron: "My bae??" 😂 36:25, 26:45 Even Central46 is afraid of Kenpachi that they have to NERF him LOL 37:15 THE FIRST KENPACHI!! 46:52 Bleach's world is amazing 1:02:41 BANKAI MINAZUKI! 1:09:10 KPENPACHI ZANPAKUTO HAS AWAKENED 1:15:21 Ichigo got fired so now renji has to carry soul society😂 1:18:10 EVERYTHING BUT THE RAIN PEAK INCOMING! 1:23:16 TYPEAKW!!!!!!!!!

YoungKojie

Hope they see your comments :)

Daniel

Honestly I love it when y’all pause it. You guys Coming up with different theories is hilarious to watch

Jonymush

Michele had it right about how Ginjo is in the soul society. Also the squad zero woman who hit Shinji. She was the previous captain that got promoted into squad zero. Was mentioned a long time ago.

Volt

I saw the Unohana vs Kenpachi thing as more motherly than anything else. Her desire to nurture him made the fight 5x better for me

Grayson Yount

3 triples in a row is insane hope yall were able to process and understand all the info and emotions

Daniel Walker

Hope so too! That's why we're here, to help them understand a tiny bit more or remind them if they miss something.

Kee

I've been waiting on the Unohana reveal since EP 1.

Mr. A

Perfectly explaining without spoiling anything ! I hope they see this.

Dimitron

Yuhabaha is my best explanation

Mando23

I seen it’s Michelle’s bday on y’all’s IG Happy Birthday!!

Kurofi

Couple things to note (small things you might not have connected or missed): - The squad 0 lady who made the food (Kirio Hikifune) is who Urahara replaced as squad 12 captain back in the flashback where aizen turned the captains into Vizards. This is why she asked Hirako where Hiori was since she was her lieutenant when she was the squad 12 captain! During that flashback they mention that all captains who get "promoted" go "up" lol it was vague but now it's all connected for you! She was promoted for her "invention". - Regarding the Unohana Kenpachu reveal; there were many instances during the show where people talked about how scary she was lol even when she went to hueco mundo, that arrancar with the army ran from her cause he realized how powerful and scary her spiritual energy was. Small things and easy to miss but the clues are there! -Zaraki also named his pink haired lieutenant after Unohana since her actual name is Unohana Yachiru. The person he "respected the most". - Now you see why Squad 11 always bullied Squad 4 in the early episodes of Soul Society. Because there was so much history there between their captains. Great predictions on your end and I love when you pause and discuss but I would say, try not to overthink too much and miss the small details in whats said or in front of you! I know there is a LOT of info within a triple drop (hell there is lot of info in this comment lmao) but it will all make sense as you watch! Thank you always for the great content!!!

Polygon

The Unohana reveal has been hinted at/foreshadowed since VERY early on in the series. 1. Everyone, even Captains as powerful as Shunsui and Ukitake are shown to be afraid of her (though this often played off for comedic relief). 2. Her other name, Retsu, means "violent" or fierce", hinting at her true nature. 3. In the SS arc, she is the first Captain to notice something is off about Aizen's death (even while under complete hypnosis). When she arrives in the Underground Meeting assembly area after Aizen waxes Hitsugaya, he acknowledges that he thought she would be showing up soon. 4. If you recall Kenpachi's backstory flashback from the SS arc, he tells Yachiru that he named her after the one person he admires and respects. The First Kenpachi, Unohana Yachiru is that person. 5. In Las Noches, Rudobonne (the skull guy who was the captain of the Exequias) chooses to back off and avoid fighting her once he sees her. 6. Even from the first databooks, her total combat ability score was 540/600, which is second only to Aizen and Yamamoto who both have a total of 560/600. Her special ability was also listed as kenjutsu (swordsmanship), NOT healing.

Kayso

"You-ha" for short will be the best thing for them and its easy, especially for Ron lol. So @mods please spread the msg to Ron & Michelle and let them know they can call him "You-ha"

Grim

44:12 Ron, please... they literally said its not their job. they protect the soul king and 13 guard squad protect the seireitei. If you work at Burger King you don't pull up to McDonalds when they lacking staff.

K2

W KENNY

Alex

22:00 It was RIGHT in front of us the whole time lol Kukaku looks just like Karin, Ichigo's sister. Ganju looks a lot like Ichigo's dad. And Ichigo is like a blonde copy of Kaien, Kukaku's dead brother.

Alex

Ginjo died, he went to soul society, Kukaku tracked down his soul.

Alex

And kukaku looks like Karin, and Ganju is pretty similar to Isshin.

Ultimate Winner

when michelle said some of these people should go to Hueco Muedo as if that is Hell is incorrect. Hueco Muedo is hollows not hell

Pablito

I just wanted to clarify that Unohana was actually winning and almost killing Zaraki many times, then healing him. Whenever he was losing consciousness, she would heal him, and they would continue fighting. It was also shown in the anime that everyone either respects or fears her. Yamamoto and Unohana dying feels like the end of an era.

F12Berlinetta

Happy Birthday Michelle, you guessed it right the first time. Basically Ginjo & uncle Tsuki is in SS because they died as humans. There was a hint also back in SS arc about Ichigo and Kaien being cousins/related. When Ukitake first saw Ichigo, he thought of Kaien right away because they do look alike and Byakuya said something "don't worry they are not related" but this episode revealed that they are indeed cousins

Patrone07

No the editor that puts a loading bar during pauses is brilliant

Kayso

Remember when Unohana confronted Aizen when she found out that he betrayed everyone, him and Gin eventually fled. Aizen ain't want no smoke with Unohana. 😂 that's just my theory though. It's been teased this whole time that she's a beast, captains/lieutenants in the soul society shown to be scared of her. Now we see she a savage, this episode gave me chills. Beautiful and poetic fight with Unohana and Kenpachi backstory and the parallels. Fun fact Unohana's Shikai and Bankai are the same name "Minazuki" we seen her Shikai in soul society arc. It was her and Isane riding that giant manta ray. Her braided hairstyle that she’s always wore at the front of her chest was to cover her scar. @Mods please relay some of the info on from the comments to Ron and Michelle especially the Yachiru Unohana thing with Kenny naming Yachiru after her. Wasn't tryna make my comment too long, shout out to the comments for all the info. Also let them know they can just call Yhwach (You-ha) for short.

Kayso

Kenpachi can't see or change the future. I think that was just bloodlust that was shown with Unohana stabbing him. I think it was similar to when Ichigo first fought Kenpachi and we seen Ichigo get "stabbed" from behind but he didn't really get stabbed, it was just Kenny's bloodlust. Ukitake and Shunsui were close to Yamamoto. Back in OG Bleach Yama said he sees them as his sons. They are senior captains (along with Unohana) so it made sense that Kyoraku took the reigns as new head captain.

Kayso

Hopefully the mods let them know. Want them to know all the info going forward

Raden

Unohana kept continuously killing and bring Kenpachi back to life. Pretty sure in the manga she kills him over a 100 times and it lasts 3 days to finally break his mental block. Someone can correct me on that number

The CulturedGentleman

If you guys go back and see, despite the many attacks on the Seireitei, none of them ever targeted squad 4. Squad 4 was always left out of it. Even Aizen avoided fighting Unohana. That wasnt coincidence.

taymone

ginjo and the fullbringers died as humans so they went to rukon district in soul society

Masked Void

[Tidbits Ep.8] - Many forget but the Shiba family are a noble/royal Shinigami lineage, clearly they play a part in transporting 0 squad which has to hold some weight. - People thought Kaien just happened to look similar to Ichigo, but in typical Kubo fashion it was him laying hints, Isshin, in general, has many physical features shared by the Shiba Clan, this also means that Ichigo is of Shinigami Nobility. (from extra material, we learn that Royals/Nobles have far more spiritual pressure than others, this adds to why Ichigo seems to be above the rest, he's a noble shinigami, apparently Quincy, and has hollow powers.) - It was removed from the anime, but in the manga, part of why Yhwach leaves is because the 0 squad was coming. - The Soul Kings' appearance lines up with Aizen calling him "That THING!" - Not many people payed mind to the attitude towards the 0 Squad, most of our Captains seem to have a feeling of distaste towards meeting them. The 0 Squad are expressed in a way that elludes to them not caring about anything except for protecting the soul king, which the logic is sound, but they seem to lack any form of compassion for the 1000's of slaughtered shinigami. - Tite Kubo (Creator of Bleach) recieved some death threats for the supposed killing of byakuya, some believe it played a part in the decision to keep him alive (However it's not a proven fact at all, and actually goes against what Kubo says in his interviews regarding how metacilious he is about killing characters.) - There is more information on Broken Bankai in the manga and they put it on the mid episode screen card, however it's never translated so people miss out. (For example Ikkaku's Bankai is practically useless right now cause it got destroyed in Bankai form, Renji's is also somewhat damaged) - In Kluboutside Q&A # 548, we learn that Senjumaru used to be the leader of an unofficial inventors group in Soul Society long before the Shinigami Research and Development Institute was founded. Mayuri Kurotsuchi was her subordinate at that time. - Sidenote: Unohana being completely unafraid to tell the 0 Squad what they can or can't do shows a level of separation between her and the others. Soi Fon also defied them however it's from a place of youthful ignorance and emotion. [Reposted]

The CulturedGentleman

Ron, in any society, the job of the King's guard is to protect the king. Even if the Kingdom gets burned to the Ground, their job is only to protect the king. Squad Zero is the Kings guard. Thats why they didnt show up.

Masked Void

[Tidbits Ep.9] - It was removed from the last episode but you learn that the springs that Urahara created are based on Tenjiros (Like the Spring we saw when Yoruichi revealed her human form that Ichigo was recovering in) -Unohana being a Kenpachi was heavily foreshadowed throughout the entire series, it's the reason why squad 11 members were so afraid of her, It's why Aizen knew she'd catch on to his lie, and why even Captains like Shunsui and Ukitake feared her. (Another cool bit is that Aizen tried to seal Kenpachi in Hueco Mundo to avoid them until he was immortal) -This is our 1st time hearing Unohana's other name, which is Yachiru, the same name Zaraki gave to his Lieutenant when he found her. If you go back to that scene, Kenpachi said it's the name of someone he admired. (Unohana's fake name was even a Hint "Retsu" means Violent in Japanese) -Buff Kon was another comedy bit removed from the last episode, so it may feel a bit random here. - Kubo has stated on Klub outside that he has an entire backstory for Unohana, he just hasn't found a place to show it. -It's cool to see the politics with Shunsui, it shows a stark difference between him and Yama. Yama simply upheld the law, as long as peace was the goal he honestly didn't care much...but Shunsui is a bit different, more experimental, and he's willing to do things that Yama would never do. (Also it's important to remember that while Shunsui is one to seek out conflict he is very sinister once it starts. We saw this with Starkk and how Shunsui fights, he cares little about playing dirty and will do whatever needs to be done.) Sidenote - [Thought on the Kenpachi crying bit] -What's really cool about the characterization is that while on the front it may seem like "Kenpachi is crying cause he just wants to win". It's slightly deeper, the important part is the context he spoke before that, you can assume he went about feeling empty, feeling nothing until he meet Unohana, He admires her because she's the only person to ever make him feel something, to feel alive, to have a purpose. This plays into his overall character, so when he's pestering Ichigo for a fight it's cause he's yearning to feel alive, fighting just happens to be the only vice that he's been conditioned to get that from, it's sorta like an addiction...Other Manga/Anime do the Love of Fighting Trope, but few make it as deep and complex as Kubo does here. [Reposted]

Satanás Gringo

Unohana is a beast she IS the only character that beat kempachi ,but not only that she kill him atleast 100 times ,just imagine how much strong was her but yeah kempachi With shikai would keep Up With bankai

taymone

it may seem like they arent explaining anything but everything thats happened has been foreshadowed throughout the show

Mike Hopper

Peak after peak after peak

Geraldine

i love ur Mc Donalds/Burker King comparison lmao. That was a good one

Alex

Nah, she was actually stabbing him and reviving him repeatedly. Not bloodlust, she was using her healing to bring him back from the brink of death repeatedly.

Ultimate Winner

well no that is 100% incorrect. she said it herself, she healing him after "killing" him.

Ultimate Winner

Kenpachi isn't the only secret weapon. He is one of the secret weapons, I would say Ichigo is Secret Weapon #1 cause is the MC lmaoo. Also I don't think Unohana did it for the greater good honestly. She said it herself, if they weren't so strong, both Kenpachi and Unohana would be criminal. I think if SS didn't exist, the amt of body lying around would be prob in the millions or billions. But since SS exist, they want to find a worthy opponent, they follow the law to stay alive until they meet that worthy foe. Imagine if they were just going around killing people, Yamamoto would kill them. I don't think Kenpachi cares about SS, other than that if he didn't, he might just be killed. Plus allying with Soul Society allows him to fight strong opponents like Ichigo, Quincies, Arrancar, stuff like that. Kenpachis are not about upholding the law, they are finding their greatest joy.

Kayso

Oh ok. Makes sense with the healing thing

Geraldine

speak for urself. People cry during the end of Tosen/Sajin battle including myself. Sajin is such a sweetheart of a friend. People cry during Byakuya's near death moment., especially when Byakuya himself starts crying. People cry when Ichigo starts crying on his knees after Ginjo betrayed him and stole his powers. Thats to name a few. What makes YOU cry doesnt make everyone cry. Just like what angers YOU dont anger everyone. Chill lol

TaterThots

In the ending of the Fullbringer arc, Ichigo went to Soul Society to retrieve Ginjo's body to bury it in the Living World. Rukia stated that doing so would be equivalent to asking for his pardon, which implies that they were going to seal Ginjo in Soul Society to prevent his passing. Ichigo brought Ginjo's body to bury him as a human which allows his soul to pass on to Soul Society It was mentioned the first time we're introduced to Kenpachi when he approached Ichigo for a fight that he intentionally handicaps himself because he's so strong that he can't enjoy a good fight. That's the reason why he wears that eyepatch that absorbs his spiritual pressure. The only thing we didn't realize was that he was not only holding himself back consciously, but subconsciously too like Unohana said and that the only way to reverse that was to bring him to the edge of death. Kenpachi's an adrenaline junkie like those guys that climb skyscrapers without safety gear for the rush, he gets high off of that.

Lorenzo

I wonder how Ginjo didnt go to hell

The CulturedGentleman

The last three episodes of this were some of the wildest reveals in anime. Felt so stupid after because it was so evident yet at the same time it wasnt

Geraldine

Bleach seems to be harder to understand than Attack on Titan lmao. The funny part is that even when things are said or spoonfed in Bleach, some people still don't get it. Kirinji when attacking Soi Fon did imply why Squad 0 didnt help when SS was being attacked but Ron is still wondering (just like Soi Fon was lol) why Squad 0 didnt help after the scene lol. I see sometimes some reactors wondering how Ginjo and the other Full bringers are dead but ended up in Soul Society lmaoo. Like seriously? lol. I recall that a Hell door was shown during the first episodes ( the parakeet Shibata episode) and that was literally not Hueco Mundo lmao. Rukia even told Ichigo that it was hell and explained that hollows who did commit crimes BEFORE their death (when they were still human) are usually sent there. Did Tite Kubo drop Bleach to test people's IQ ??

The CulturedGentleman

Regarding Unohana and Kenny, each "black out" was her killing him over and over, and then healing him back before he goes lights out. So shes bringing him to the edge of death and back, because this is where the real Kenny is lying dormant. That one stab to her chest is where he started surpressing his powers because she is the first one to really challenge him and let him experience joy for the first time but because he was stronger than her, he was able to wound her. In that moment, she realized his sadness that rose from fear of killing her and going back to live a boring life and blamed her self for doing that to him. That is her "curse" So thats also why she did not give him the title Kenpachi from then and then went on to learn healing abilituies. She always knew that from the moment she found the next Kenpachi she would have to die to pass on the title to him. Only, she took a more nurturing way to do it and that is the fight you just saw. She kills him over and over to reverse the damage she did to him by making him feel she would not last if he went all out. In the end we see that hes himself but he still can get stronger but she could only last up to this point against him. Thats why she said that he now has enemies that he can go even further with and also friends that can fight with him on equal footing so he doesnt go back to supressing himself anymore. This is why i love Unohana so much! From that one wound to her chest she dedicated her life to him essentially, to ensure that he is able to find the joy of battle he loves so much and craves for. Shes truly a beautiful person in a murderous type of way lol

Moddy

I don’t think anybody cares if you pause, we can just skip it if we want.

AvatarDan

“I know his voice, I know his body” is a wild statement Michelle 😂😂

lordjaggi

Wednesday is another triple?

The CulturedGentleman

I dont think that they yet will understand the gravity of Shunsui and Ukitake fearing Unohana yet lol. I dont think they get how dangerous she was...and is during this fight, which also would suggest how scary current Kenny has become

The CulturedGentleman

She would be too much of a challenge for Aizen to the point where it was a better option to just outright avoid her

Levelingup

The royal guard was mentioned in the Shinji and the visored back story arc. Kirio was the captain that was promoted to the royal guard and hiyori was pissed urahara took her place.

amo

that's a spoiler, we don't know Isshin's family name yet

Jenn

i feel like she could have kept going she just wanted to die so kenpachi would stop nerfing himself

Captain Usopp aka God Usopp

after this EP until now i still cant move on about Unohana, she has become my ultimate badass mommy. How dare Kubo drop the bomb about her whole true self only to take it away forever. Also Minazuki to me is the most scary & beautiful Bankai of all time HANDS DOWN hearing her say it again brings goosebump all over me. About Ron saying what why they dont aid Seiretei when it was attack already mentioned, they all have their Jobs to protect,Squad 0 needs to protect the Soul King ad the Royal Palace. They cant leave their post while the threat is clear on sight, they can only hope 13 Court Squad could manage it.

Levelingup

They explained why they didn’t come to fight in the soul society their jobs is not to protect the soul society but the royal palace.

kkloyd

Kaien = brunette ichigo Rukias leutinant

Draken of Toman

Yea I was hoping they understood that but nope

workforpape

the energy doesn't leave you!!!

Levelingup

Don’t think they truly understand the significance of Nimiya words ichigo since og bleach been fighting without a asuchi the entire time lmao

Diego Carrillo

Thank you for pointing this out, i feel that they over looked this fact. She even states that she is doing that to him as well. She was killing him and bringing him back to life. Unohana technically killed and won the battle multiple times, but she knew what the purpose of the battle was. It was to unshackle Kenpachi and atone for her "sin"

Diego Carrillo

I believe they have stated 3/5 so far (by name)

Juan Contreras

Ron a squad zero member explain why they didn’t help 😑 you guys looked so glue to the screen on that moment I thought you read it 😑

Diego Carrillo

I would also like to add that Kenpachi is a Title. Kenpachi Zaraki is the eleventh Kenpachi, Unohana was the First as stated. But in this episode there was a flashback that showed the 10th Kenpachi, the Kenpachi that Zaraki must've killed in order to become the 11th. The 10th Kenpachi was called Kenpachi Kiganjo.

Diego Carrillo

During the Soul Society Arc it is even said that a lot of the Captains did not approve of Kenpachi's methods because he killed the previous Captain of Squad 11. There are only 3 ways to become a Captain of the Gotei 13. 1) Captain Proficiency Test (隊首, taishu): A test which requires the ability to perform Bankai. Nearly all Shinigami become captains using this method. At least three existing captains, including the Captain-Commander, have to witness the test. 2) Personal Recommendation: To have personal recommendations from at least six captains and approval from at least three of the remaining seven. 3) Trial by Combat: To defeat and kill an already acting captain in one-on-one combat with at least 200 witnesses. This was the method Kenpachi Zaraki chose to become Captain of Squad 11

Diego Carrillo

I think during Unohana's Bankai when it showed her and Kenpachi as Skeletons this was to demonstrate that for Kenpachi it was peeling away his restraints and shackles and for her it was her washing away her sin. In the Manga a lot of people thought her Bankai involved some sort of acid or corrosive liquid because of this.

inspyR

she knows that hole ;)

Dan

It's been a long time but do yoy remember the first time we saw Unohana speak with Aizen under central 46. At the moment he became the villain of the story, he destroyed Hitsugaya but wanted absolutely nothing to do with her at that moment. She was stronger than him at that point of the story and he knew that.

Patrone07

Lol reading* should fix that before you use word idiot no shade thoe

Shah Glizzy

Nah even at that point of the story, Aizen still clears Unohana.

Patrone07

Guys your talking to us the community as mentioned they are not reading comments advised by mods because of blatant and under the blanket spoilers we as a community gotta do better we can subscribe to patreon but lose all basic intelligence when it comes to spoiling no matter the age if your here you possess enough common sense to not do that

Dan

He actually levels up quite a bit between the moment we see him there and the next time after. Also he knew they wouldn't ever fight because Retsu obviously had only one purpose since loosing to Kenny . That's why he prepared something for Yamamoto and not her. At that point of the story it could've gone both ways and Aizen never gets in a battle he's not sure to win. He lost to Ichigo because he purposely lacked the ability to sense his power and like Unohana he wished to be stopped in a sense. (Stated by Ichigo if i remember correctly). Ichigo was his G-bang project dude had too much of an ego on that one 🤣.

Jasper Tan

"She's so scaryyyyy!" *with a smile* exactly how I reacted. 🤣🤣

To To

Since the beginning her hairs were hiding this scar from Zaraki that’s awesome

Arrancar 04

Idk if it’s intentional but maybe now you can see why Kaien ( the brother Rukia killed )and Ichigo look so similar

kidCash3

“Why didn’t they show up” they literally told Soi gon why they ain’t show up and embarrassed her😭😭there job is to prioritize protecting the soul king

Mel - Sërënä

I think that "uncle" was literal this time, and not just Asian way of talking... we just need to connect the dots to figure it out... How are they here?... 🤣🤣🤣 They died dahhh so... their souls went to... (say it with me) The Soul Society!!! 🤣🤣🤣 brain is RAM-ing sometimes with Bleach 🤣🤣🤣 I get it !!! Squad 0s job is to protect the king, they're his personal guards, they said that, it was 13 squads job to protect Soul Society, they can't be blamed for sticking to their job 🤷🏽‍♀️ Unahana is sooo badass!!! 🩸 It was a magnificent fight/scene/plot call it as you like but it was 🔥 I'm loooving the reactions!!! 🤩🔥❤️

kidCash3

Did yall peep that the reason he was blacking out was because unohama kept killing then healing Kenny back without him knowing ?

Castiel_01x

In the manga, we got more information regarding a destroyed Bankai. Bankai is essentially the deepest essence of one's soul, and its destruction signifies a major event that significantly changes one's perspective. In Ichigo's case, it was the reveal of his mother, as his mother's death shaped his motivation. Ikkaku, who had his Bankai destroyed, only has a makeshift one, meaning it is nowhere near as good as the original. Renji also had parts of his Bankai destroyed during his fight with Byakuya, which explains why he has a poor record in battles. Komamura, on the other hand, is so in line with himself that even if his Bankai gets destroyed, as long as he can heal his wounds, the Bankai would get restored as well. 14:21 Kirio was referenced in the Turn Back The Pendulum arc. She was Hiyori's captain before she got promoted to Squad 0. That was the first time we got to know that Squad 0 had existed. Urahara was the one who replaced Kirio after she went to Squad 0. In OG Bleach, Kaien was shown to be similar to Ichigo. Now we know why, as they are cousins. Which explains why Byakuya, Rukia and Ukitake acted in a certain way. Also, it adds to how Ichigo and Ganju had a funny chemistry out of the blue as well. Remember how Ichigo wanted to take back Ginjo's body to give him a funeral in the living world? That was done so that he could enter the circulation of souls to get into the Soul Society(SS). Tsukishima and Giriko were confirmed dead in the living world, and they too passed on to the SS. The hot springs that Urahara had in his training area during the OG Bleach were modelled after Tenjiro's. Grimmjow was never confirmed to be dead in the OG Bleach. The last time we saw him, he was going to be killed by Nnoitora, but Ichigo stepped in. Love how Michelle pointed out how Shunsui changed his personality following Yama's death. That shows how he's pushing himself to act like a leader, but whether that would be good for him or not remains to be seen in future episodes. Unohana's reveal as the first Kenpachi also ties up one plot point that we got in OG Bleach. Her true full name is Unohana Yachiru. Yachiru is also the name that Zaraki gave to his lieutenant in respect to the only person he admired. A nice way of showcasing the history between Zaraki and Unohana. 44:30 They did address why the Squad 0 did not come down to fight the war, Ron. Their job is to protect the Royal Palace, not the Seireitei. Also, the Gotei 13 in the past had dealt with the Quincies before, so it would make sense why they expect them to do the same again. The Unohana reveal had very subtle hints right from the get-go. In the manga, the panel in which she was revealed for the very first time had her face blacked out, indicating that there's something more to her than what it seems. Also, while it was used as a comedic relief, there were many occasions where people, even captains like Shunsui, seemed scared of Unohana. Basically, the blackouts Kenny had were him actually dying and Unohana healing him afterwards. Michelle also said the fight is unique, and that's true. The whole fight is a mother nurturing her child, plus Unohana's Bankai literally being presented as a childbirth. In OG Bleach, we got info from Tosen that our Kenny killed the previous Kenpachi to take the spot. That was slightly shown in this triple drop. So one can conclude that Unohana actually retired from Squad 11 and became a healer of Squad 4. Someone else became the captain of Squad 11, and through one means or another, the name was passed down through several generations. Since Unohana was the first Kenpachi, she was never able to give that title to our Kenny, as he was just a child back then and had suppressed himself following his fight with Unohana.

Geraldine

Ginjo, when he was still alive, was killing Soul reapers, not humans in the world of the living. That's why

zoro xz

Michelle u r rirght about why ginjo and the rest are alive, its bc they died as humans and are now in the soul society

Younés Elamrani

Good reaction. It was explained that whenever zaraki blacked out unohana actually killed him and brought him back to life. That also happened at their first encounter when zaraki was still a child (as explained by zaraki himself)

gggoos

Forgot to mention but also the time when Aizen revealed his plans and himself being a traitor, Unohana was present then too. If Unohana was weaker Aizen would've probably taken care of her too but instead "left" to find Rukia

Masked Void

[Tidbits Ep.10] - Many people argued "Why not keep both Alive" which makes logical sense, but therein lies the problem, Kenpachi's don't live by logic. The 11th division has constantly shown the viewers that they prioritize their own satisfaction over logic, Kenpachi quickly joined Ichigo's side cause he wanted to have a good fight, Ikkaku let the pillar be destroyed because he wants to stay under Zaraki, Yumichika was going to die and let the pillar be destroyed cause he wanted to be under Zaraki...this division has ALWAYS put their desires 1st. Unohana was the 1st Captain of this division and she's the same, her purpose is passing the baton and enjoying the thrill of battle, and she certainly treats it as a Parent passing the torch to a child. - Ohetsu says that Ichigo never had an "Asauchi" which as we just learned is the basis of a real Zanpaktou, this means Ichigo throughout the entire series has never had an actual Zanpaktou, meaning he never had real Shinigami power...so now the question is what was the source of his power if not his Shinigami powers?. (This was actually brought into Question when Ichigo 1st used Bankai against Byakuya, Byakuya points out that Ichigo's Bankai is abnormal it doesn't really work in the way all the others work) - People tend to forget that Ichigo while prodigal, is still a kid, who still carries trauma. That's why it's easy to see why he'd fail at training in this compacity. Unlike Renji and most of the other Captain class Shinigami, Ichigo hasn't had hundreds of years to master himself and come to terms with his issues. Yes Ichigo has improved and gotten stronger but he still has yet to come to terms with even his hollow side, that issue hasn't been brought up since defeating Ulquiorra and he still very much takes responsibility for his mother's death. - We now know that the scene with Unohana and Kenpachi melting is more so symbolic. Though we still don't know enough details to answer whether it could possibly melt people. - Sidenote: This fight between Kenpachi and Unohana looks even better in the Blu-Ray version. They made some amazing corrections to really assist it.

Castiel_01x

Good comment. Also, I think Ichigo has already come to terms with his hollow side. That was the entire premise behind the Final Getsugatensho, where he accepts all aspects within himself. That further aligns with his usage of Pesquisa and Sonido earlier in the arc.

Byakuran

kubo actually confirmed it does melt. Its a bankai meant to hurt and heal at the same time to give her the ultimate satisfaction of battle. Its not a bankai focused on winning a fight but making it longer.

zero chill

in the turn back the pendulum arc i think Kyouraku and Ukitaki were talking about people who been captains for a long time included him ukitaki and the captain commander and ukitaki reminded him about unohana and joked about how he couldnt forget her and they started laughing and unohana showed up at that moment and they both froze and stopped laughing and changed the subject

XXI

Big brain Ron! at it again✌🏼

Tingz

Lol not everyone has a love affair or a thing going on. Tenjiro was teasing Unohana bc he trained her how to heal so it was banter. They expected more of soul society. And Mayuri and the woman with all the arms dont have nothing going on

Tingz

42:21 "Don't overthink it" yea yall should take Renjis advice 😂 Oh-Etsu was the first ever who created Zanpakuto there was no one before him

wram

Ron as Ichibei (Baldy) explained, Squad Zero are tasked with protecting the royal palace not the Seireitei. They only step in if the Royal Palace is being threatened. As the Thirteen Court Guard Squad Captains, they are responsible for the protection of the Seireitei and therefore if they fail to do so, it is on THEM not Squad Zero. Oh-Etsu was the first to create the Zanpakuto, before him there were no Zanpakuto. During Unohana and Zaraki's duel, the reason why Zaraki was blacking out so much is because Unohana kept killing him and then healing him before he fully died. As she explained, Zaraki only grows on the verge of death so she needed to push him to that point constantly until he grew and changed his mindset of always suppressing his power. Oh and Ron, i see you finally beat Michelle to reading the manga this time. The strongest Manga reader of today (Ron) VS the strongest Manga reader in history (Michelle) 😂

Akeymu

BAHAHAHAH they forgot how everyone in soul society was always terrified of Unohana the entire series before the big reveal drop XD

LoneCourier21

Aizen wanted smoke with everyone EXCEPT Unohana. They chatted one time close to each other and Aizen kept walking. He like the other older captains knew she was the old man's little demon.

The CulturedGentleman

Next drop is gonna catch them soo much off guard because no, they absolutely aren’t getting what’s being hinted at. I love the reactions, but the ignorance does get to me a little from time to time

Dee

lol. asking who created it before him is like asking who created the world before god. hahhahaha

Felipe

Ron been on fire with the predictions, love to see it!

Dwayne Townsend

You wrote me a whole paragraph but I’m the one who needs to chill ? U said speak for yourself like I didn’t say “IMO” … and If u go back to the Gino episode I stated that that was the only episode that I cried on in the whole series … again my opinion … and out of the big 3 .. this anime has THE LEAST scenes .. damn near no scenes …that would make a persons shed tears and MOST ppl don’t cry to this anime … example Ron hasn’t cried yet and we’re almost done 🤷🏾‍♂️…. Next time maybe read and comprehend before you wanna comment asking me to “chill” 😂

Sammy

No spoilers: Byakuya’s fight and “final” scenes were portrayed so perfectly that I’m convinced he was originally supposed to die. Maybe there was some publisher interference or fan backlash 👀 They explained why Squad Zero didn’t come down to help the Gotei 13. Their job is to protect the Royal Palace. Leaving their post (and the Soul King) is a big no-no ❌️ Yeeees, of course Michelle recognized THAT bae voice 🙌🐆 Omg you’re the first reactors I’ve seen who noticed Uncle Isshin 🥹🫶 Yes, that means they’re all cousins. Ichigo reminded Rukia of Kaien (Kukaku and Ganju’s dead brother) so much due to his looks and personality 😉 Yeah… that also means Rukia killed Ichigo’s cousin 😬 There’s a simple reason why Ginjo, Tsukishima and Giriko are in Soul Society… they’re dead 😅✝️ Fullbringers are humans. When they die, they go to Soul Society 👻 There were actually hints/foreshadowing about Unohana, but in true Kubo fashion, you don’t catch it on the first watch 🫠 (e.g. Aizen avoided fighting her 😉) The way she said “Bankai” was sooo cold 🥶 chills Kenny naming Yachiru (the lil girl, his pink-haired lieutenant) after Unohana when they first met really shows how much he respected and admired Unohana. Also, remember how Kenny always gave his opponents advantages just to prolong fights? The eyepatch suppressing his spiritual pressure, the bells in his hair, giving free hits… plus his already unconsciously suppressed power. Man was seriously nerfed 😄 but not anymore~ 💪 At the Hoohden: A more accurate translation would be “Renji is a true Soul Reaper, and Ichigo is not.” Basically, Ichigo doesn’t even know who/what he is. That’s why he failed and got sent back home. Can’t wait for your next triple drop discussion 🤩

Charles Liu

Unohana is a whole ass Elden Ring boss

Byakuran

it actually is. Her bankai is a loop. It allows her to savor the fight. It causes continuous harm while also healing. a visual representation of her very soul. much like kenny she just wants to fight until the end without restraint and that's what he bankai is designed for.

Byakuran

Her bankai is also designed to do the very thing her and kenny wish to do. enjoy everlasting fighting at full power. It destroys and heals continuously allowing the user to enjoy the fight as long as possible. It locks them in a realm much like a domain expansion so she needs to be sure she wants to kill the person or be killed when using it which is why she likely never even considered it vs aizen.

RedEyeItachi

Remember what they said earlier in the series. Your zanpakto is a reflection of your soul.

Bim Skuddi

Retsu: “He’s been subconsciously holding back the whole time” Michelle: “Why would he choose to do this” Lmao

Ayden Williams

Just a heads up i don't think y'all realized that unohana was killing kenpachi and then healing him

bahachino

guys tell me you didnt miss her killing him each time and then healing him

Quantum Brush

I think they did miss it. Atleast it seems like they did.

Quantum Brush

Zaraki blacking out during the battle is Unohana pushing him to the verge of death and then bringing him back by healing him. She's fighting him, healing him and healing herself all at once during the battle. She pushed him to his limits. She's a beast

Saith D. Uchiha

I never realized until watching this the 2nd time Unohana is my fav female character in all of bleach BECAUSE OF THIS ARC

Finewinedevine

I don’t think you guys caught it but during the kenpachi fight, she actually killed him many times and kept healing him over and over till he finally unlocked at the end

Draken of Toman

They also missed why squad zero didn’t help the soul society

The CulturedGentleman

Welcome to Unohana fanclub lol. She has always been our Queen :)

The CulturedGentleman

hehehe! "I am Malenia Blade of Miquella and I have never known defeat"

The CulturedGentleman

Even crazier is that we just saw the entire WandenReich walk through the soul society on a murder spree...Sternritters take on the captains and lieutenants, yet still NOT ONE of them fucked with Squad 4 lmao! Yhwach def has good memory of the last time they fought lol

Saith D. Uchiha

I’m not new to it. I saw this episode when it came out and I saw bleach 9 years after it ended

The CulturedGentleman

The title of Kenpachi means to be the strongest. If you are a Kenpahi it means you mean to be the strongest alive and as long as another Kenpachi exists that cannot happen. Both have to fight each other to the death until one dies and the other takes the title. Unohana just postponed her and Kenny's death battle because she blames herself for causing him to nerf himself by not fighting at his fullest, and went on to learn healing in order to push him as far as possible

The CulturedGentleman

No each time she brings him to the edge of death he got stronger and stronger. He eventually got too strong and killed her in Bankai form. Her bankai allows her to carry on fighting almost indefinitely so she just physically got to a point where she was weaker than him and he killed her

101mavrik

they missed it, they %1000 missed it, was busy theory crafting out loud instead of reading the subs lol

101mavrik

i dont know how you miss the reason why Squad 0 didn't show up during the invasion when its literally said so slowly lol

Moneyman4lyfe

they'll probably never figure it out

Satanás Gringo

Imagine if they practice like these for years i mean they both would get stronger ... And maybe my unohana...

Satanás Gringo

Yeah the theories are good guys but u need to paid a little more attention ,I know you're excited because this saga is crazy, but chill

Draken of Toman

They definitely won’t lol because it’s not officially released

Sierd Baratheon

I always disliked how they made Unohana so awesome just to kill her off the way they did.

Weyard Wiz

They do...they missed this one because they were thinking about other things and theories at the sane time, dont you see they apologized for pausing multiple times because they genuinely keep having multiple thoughts?

idkwhy

Ohh, maybe you should take at least a day break between bleach reactions? Cause the more we are into it, the more things you will have to process.

Harsh Sharma

I am not going to lie, I am so hooked on the Bleach reactions that I have paused watching One Piece and other anime reactions for now. I just can't focus on other stuff, Bleach is so high adrenaline.

Weyard Wiz

BLEACH TYBW PEAAAAAK!!🔥🔥

Harsh Sharma

Unohana kept killing and bringing Kenpachi back. In case you both missed that

Michelle Lam

shits hard LOL its too good and were too hyped lol

JKim831

Btw whats the weekly schedule for this?

JKim831

Oh yeah, no spoiler but they did bring up squad 0 in the OG series. If you remember during the "Turn Back The Pendulum " arc, a captain was promoted to squad 0. This was Kirio Hikifune (the pink hair member). Then Urahara replaced her as captain (which is part of why Hiyori was reluctant to accept Urahara at first)

Le Monke

btw every time Zaraki "passed out' he did die essentially, Unohana used her zanpacto to heal his wounds so he could continue the fight, each death removing the limiters he put onto himself.

101mavrik

what do you mean lol the whole time they explained why they weren't there starts at the 16min mark and you see both of them look like they are reading and listening, but than mins later "why didn't they show up". they getting lost in the animation, rather than getting lost into the story.

Nigel W.

yeah it looked like they didnt catch the "I will heal you" or it just didnt process.

Weyard Wiz

TYPEAKW makes sense 😭🔥

Ken Lang

Haha you oughtta watch AliAnimus's Bleach reactions then and you'll see just how much she cries to it...well...actualyl she's kind of a crybaby for everything. I mod her streams

penske

chat, did they say they watched all the OPs and EDs and i just don't see it or am i missing something?

Dwayne Townsend

I can’t imagine lol I cry to plenty of anime but bleach only really made me shed tears once and that was the ginjo taking ichigo power episode 🥲

Christian F

You see unohana in the flashback of the very first 13 court guard squads slaughtering the Quincy A Thousand Years ago.

Satanás Gringo

Monday and wensday 2 chapters per day but sometimes they would make a triple drop

Satanás Gringo

It's too much to process, for them who are such big fans. Other people might be calmer in their reaction, for example, their reactions to JJK. I've seen that they notice things that others don't, but they're completely memerized here

Neyder502

Bro just wait for court 2,3 and 4 💀💀💀

4$ure

Y’all don’t understand she kept killing him during the battle and bringing back to life that’s why he kept blacking out

LuvStarburst

I really hope you guys noticed that Unohana killed Zaraki over 1000 times to awaken his true power. I hope you guys remember that hikifune was talked about in the Pendulum arc and was the the previous captain of squad 12 before kisuke took over. Also, Rip Unohana.

Revolution To Evolution

Am I the only one, who can't remember almost any name in this anime???? 😭😭😭😭

Ilsuk Yang

Unohana vs Kenpachi is such a great fight, but such a sad result. Unohana gave up her life to unlock Kenpachi's potential. They both love to fight more than anything else, but they have different philosophies in regards to that. Unohana learned kaido in order to make her battles last longer, while Kenpachi subconsciously lowered his fighting ability to his opponent's to enjoy his fights to the fullest. She fulfilled her purpose, but it does make me wonder how differently things would've turned out in previous arcs if she had gotten involved as Yachiru and not as the captain of squad 4? The food palace would indeed be a great place for Luffy (and Goku, too). Ichigo and Renji at Oh-Etsu's palace is interesting because the result of those 3 days suggests that Renji knows himself much better than Ichigo knows himself. Ichigo doesn't really know anything about himself and all the asauchi could feel that.

Aus

so the guy who looked nothing like hanataro that they immediiately thought was him got a shoutout, and when ACTUAL Hanataro shows up again, not one reaction LMAO
