Fellerz

Hit refresh before I was going to bed

Danny

Dressrosa was around 2013 in the manga, so it was well before covid

Sarita

LET'S GOOOOOOO

Milo

saddest backstory up until this point, and my favorite

Soheil

can't wait for the next episodes

AR

I can’t wait to see your reaction to the next few episodes! You’re not ready at all

ao kaze

Here we are !!! Can’t wait for next week

Mando23

I have a friend who skims through backstories and says let’s get back to the main story. I always say the back story is one of my favorite things in anime especially in one piece and Naruto. But eh people are wired different.

Tamsin

Senior Pink is forever hard boiled

Dadundudun

It's so wholesome watching Cora-san beat on kids 🤗

Sarita

Law is one of my all-time faves like truly. His backstory is truly tragic, I feel like Oda just feels like he has to one-up himself with each backstory like please sir...enough trauma...can't wait for next weekend! The story keeps unfolding and it gets even worse (better)!!!

YanuE X

During 2020 covid pandemic, we are in wano arc in the manga.. btw, this is not a spoiler by now since you know wano arc exist when i heard you in the podcast.. anyways. you'll see some character lines as a message to what was happening during the pandemic when there was speculations that the covid virus is intentional and not an accident..

Edward Loredo

IMO the best is still yet to come. OP has some of the darkest lore. The OP world really needs a change

Dadundudun

Btw Flevance is most likely based on Casale Monferrato, Italy. An asbestos-cement plant, Eternit, was essentially poisoning the town and people. They knew of the fatal dangers of asbestos but kept it hidden to protect their profits, thereby causing many deaths and health related issues to this day. Casale Monferrato also gained the name White Town because of the high amount of asbestos dust released by the plant that would cover the town.

Taka

i don’t know if it affects the impact but the nun literally says “there is no such thing as despair in this world” not “there is always hope” zetsubou vs kibou who tf are these translators

Kayso

Definitely my favorite backstory so far in one piece, Law backstory is heart wrenching. Congrats on 700 episodes

Ultimate Winner

The Big 3 has some of the most of the best backstories that add so much context to the stories.

CallMeBibz

alr bro they’ll get there 😐

Princesspkx22

Law has MC energy. I was worried for Luffy when he showed up. lol

Danny

Unnecessary comment

aidan decristofaro

Laws story is quite heartbreaking. Cant wait for net weeks eps!

CRMZTR

lets gooo such a good backstory, cannot wait for the episodes next week 🥹

aidan decristofaro

fr i love the big 3 man. Makes me sad when I see people who aren't capable of loving all 3 of OP Naruto and BLEACH

miho

🤍＼＼\\ ᴸᴱᵀ'ˢ ٩( 'ω' )و ᴳᴼ//／／🤍

Captain Usopp aka God Usopp

Dressrossa..the darkest part yet to come, peak on peak is coming and u asking the right "hard-boiled" question hehe

Ethan C

Omg, I knew oda would have drawn inspiration for this story from somewhere but I didnt realise how 1:1 it would be. I have just researched it and I'm disgusted! The world is such a dark place..

Cameron Jones

Tranquilliser via flintlock is crazy😂

Thomas Mirck

One fucked up detail people often miss; when doffy shot law in front of the arena. The bullets were made from white lead. I love that oda put this detail in the fight between doffy and law, to make it even more clear how deep there beef is between the two. Congrats with the 700th episode

SomeoneElse

Law's backstory is easily one of the best and extremely close to reality as well, combining multiple historical tragedies caused by humans. Lead poisoning is real, and I think of asbestos too

美優 森川

Maybe that’s why Law lent Luffy a hand when he was so desperately fighting to save his brother, Ace. Because he knew what it was like to lose someone he couldn’t save. He couldn’t save his own little sister.

I’m me

u forgot robin

Usher

Top 1 saddest backstories so far. Later it might still be but it's slightly more debateble

Suf

Doffy family runs like a Mafia

Sunny

Finallyyyyyyy!!

Deepak

every arc from now on gets progressively better. fishman island was a bit meh for me but every one from here is goated

Sunny

Didn't the set of Wizard of Oz (og) had asbestos for the snowfall scene? Or was that just a rumor

Natthorn Rangseesakhon

Law’s and Robin’s are probably the darkest ones so far….. but this is One Piece there are many more dark stories to come it will be darker than you guys can ever imagine😭

Phyllis

Before Dressrosa Law's backstory, there was Robin's backstory too. There was also Luffy's, Sabo's and Ace's backstory(the rich nobles burned the trash part of the city and the people there). So many dark backstories~ 😢 There's more to come in Dressrosa and the future arcs.

Michael H

Damn, I forgot how freakin dark Law’s backstory is. Oof that had me tense the entire episode.

Kaviyan

Senior pink what a character. You will soon find out

Onel Martinez

The original white town Casale monferatto is real with the same thing happening to the inhabitants with the rich getting away with toxic substances and 1,800 people gone

MIRACHAN FF

One Piece isn't really just about pirates. The deeper story is about the people at the top of the world—the World Government—and how corrupt, oppressive, and cruel they truly are."

Joee 55

Top tier coment. btw nice intro :D

Dandy Zoran

Yall were begging for it lmao

The CulturedGentleman

Even THIS has nothing to do with the shit that happens in *a future arc* It still screws me mentally to think about it

Drew

Voice actor for lil law… the scream of pain … felt that🥲

Misael Matute

Well you wanted Law's backstory.. lol Be careful what you wish for...

Clay

Laws story is so good. What’s even crazier, is that the worst generation characters almost didn’t exist. Oda added them into the story at the last minute when he was making the halfway point in the story at Sabaody. Oda’s intent was to expand on the One Piece world and he used the worst generation to show how big and complex the world is. He even admitted that Law ended up playing a much more crucial role in the story than he originally intended. Also lowkey, his wife is a huge Law fan 😉

Arz.09

This is very similar to elon musks AI data centers in memphis lowkey

Arz.09

to think people see this stuff and say one piece isn't political

PumpDaddyD

I was just looking at a lammy card going through my cards 😩 😫 😒

AMtheCHANGE

Been watching since marineford on YouTube!!! But now I’m subscribed now.. I can finally hear the ost’s!!👏🏽🤣and have to catch up to the recent reactions
