Also think about Yuki at the start.. he was just a "prince" even in Torhus eyes.. just a out of reach crush. A fantasy that was out of reach or hope. Then her life got intertwined with him and met this outside kyo. Torhu knew Yuki more. And he was a prince. Then she got to know Kyo. And everthing started shifting :)

So yes Michelle it WAS set up for Yuki and Torhu at the start. That's the point. But a natural truth formed and the puzzle peice fit more with kyo. Season 1 was Yuki and Tohru Season 2 was Torhu was more neutral with ever zodiac and bonding and becoming ingrain with the soma family,and pushing down her feelings. whereas Kyo was forming stronger love that he remeber from a child and dealing with guilt, and Yuki's was changing and understanding of more maternal love like Rin did (thats why Yuki stated he understood Rin when she broke down and clung to torhu he was sad wishing for the same imbrase of a mother. Yuki shows us sevreal time in the show HOW much he love torhu but on rewatch you SEE so early the change. Even with little tiger who adores torhu. Yuki relates most to the horse and tiger the most when it comes to his feels for torhu.. . then season 3 everything kicked off the truth comes out kill loves total poor loves kill Yuki loves total as a mother just as rendez and all the other zodiac members however we also know Momiji loves total much in the same way kyo loves her but momiji knows that doesn't mean he gets the girl. Momiji shares feels with kyo but hes knows hes at a disadvantage tho.

You guys have no clue what's coming next episode but this episode and next episode are my favorite.. they are a pair and its just a turn in the show like you guys said this episode, its the best of the best! You guys only have like 5 episodes left an 1 prequel movie about Torhus parents. But 5 episodes of THIS and they are bangers dude 😭😭😭

The spot Kyo ran past with the little grave stone, when he was looking for torhu... that WAS where tohur was found. It just yuki say her first just hours before. Its significant becasue kyo WOULD have found her if he'd stopped being so selfish and gone to see them sooner. But yuki was always lucky.. yuki was the rat the #1. And he will always be 1st. But the 🐢🐇 story shows us that the fasted or the first is not always the one who gets the prize... on the other hand.. momiji is a 🐰 sooooooooooooo 😆

When i first saw the best between Kyo and Akito, i wondered why Kyo would even care about being accepted as a Zodiac member, cuz it seems so shitty. Wasn'r expecting it to be explained in such a devastating way.

I feel like next episode is the best episode. This episode had me crying the whole time but the next one had me bawling I was messed up fr 🤧 love how everything comes full circle and ties together with Kyo and Torhu

the music in fruits basket is SO good!!! I agree, I think Tohru was always drawn to Kyo more, her favourite zodiac was always the cat. But I really like Yuki, he's gone through so much and now that he's healing he can maybe help Kyo too
