An Early Peek at DEATH AND LILLIES: Mistress Moon (Patreon)
Content
The Moon Smolders at its peak
The beams reflection
A burning shriek
That fills my soul with purpose still
The ancient blood within me thrills
Delights as I bask in it’s gaze
My lady, she knows all the ways
To reach downward from on high
Dropping daggers from the sky
To which I catch between thigh teeth
Twin canines clutch an acting sheathe
Once delicate amber hues
of humanity tried and true
Twist and turn, as if to scorn
The idea they implanted, since I was born
An orange like the dusk’s arise
Shredding every human lie
That once held my beast at bay
And now I am the only way
How I was when cast from light
And all those cries together unite
To push me from the grace once held
And as I plummet, I remember well
Of one truth, to fight is nigh
That in the end, the light will lie
And all that remains is the call she croaks
To poke thine belly, the coals she stokes
Of the flame once burning in my core
To arise from the darkness evermore
I am
What I always have been
What you made me
Your greatest sin
The thing that bumps beneath your bed
As you clutch the sheets above your head
And as my sweet moon grins through your window
My talon, about your ankle, drags you below
