I agree that listening to this album through can get tiresome and predictable, I do love certain songs on their own. I think he’s an artist that has a lot of potential for the future especially considering he produces a lot of his own music. It’s obvious he’s got a structure that’s comfortable to him, but I hope he branches out bc his voice is amazing and he has a lot of interesting lyrics.

So right on so many levels. just about everything said here is spot on. The album is grating on the ears, samey, repetitive, experimental, existential, aggressive, and so much more. Me being 18 when the album came out, those reasons are why it's been my favourite album from my favourite artist since it came out. Well spoken thoughts and really glad you are able to appreciate it even though it may not resonate with you as much as it does many others. Great reaction!

2026-09-20 17:00 I paid 5 dollars to watch Jon Denton call my album of the year mid 😭. Jokes aside you’re probably right. Being around Brakence’s age I feel I can deeply relate to it and I really enjoy his production style. My dad doesn’t like Brakence either, but loves a lot of music like Jon, so I guess this one’s for the zoomers

for more stripped back / acoustic style, he's done excerpts of that for a couple of songs on his instagram. I would say it's worth checking out, makes you want that acoustic style album even more
