Hi friends,

although I had the opportunity to play during Madonna's 59th birthday here in Italy, at the luxurious hotel Borgo Egnazia, I must confess that I'm not a huge fan of hers. But this her song intrigued me a lot because it has a nice Latin rhythm and it is perfect to be arranged on the guitar in first position.

So here's my arrangement for you. It's a bit fast but you can play it slowly.

Good playing!

My favorite Madonna song! Grazie!

Hi Nick! I'm loving all the content here. Super fan. I'm also working with both of your books. My question is regarding the Alternating Bass book. You recommend we use only 3 fingers (P I M) I wanted to ask why is that (instead of working with 4 fingers: with the ring finger as well)? I wonder if it wouldn't be better to work 4 fingers? And if you think using them for the rest of the book would be a good idea.. thanks!

Hi Fellipe, in my book I use only three fingers because that is the original fingering for that style. Sure you can use four fingers if you feel good with those. If you can view on Youtube some videos by Merle Travis he used two fingers and he was great.

Thanks for taking your time to reply Nick. I already feel comfortable with my ring finger (when studying with the 120 arpeggios book) so I'll be adding it to my practice routine with Alternating Bass too. (btw, any chance to get tabs for Forever Young by Alphaville sometime in the future? it is one of my all time favorite songs.)
