It's finally here, the so long awaited update for my love child! After a lot of struggles here is a little demo of Mind and Magic's remake!

This update is focused on Alice and should give you a clear view of what I want to do with the game and it's remake.

There isn't much to say other than I hope you guys like it; I'll make a post talking more in depth about the development of the game later, for now, enjoy!

DISCLAIMER:

Due to this being a demo, some of the progression and such has been simplified. It'll go back to being more similar to the old version in the final release.

Dunno if it was just me but the issue you mentioned didn’t really affect my experience at all, and If im being honest I wouldn’t have noticed if i hadn’t had an FPS counter going. Good on you for wanting to fix it regardless though.

I enjoyed the beta versions so much when I played through them a couple of days, I just really like the arstyle of the character and then this drops! Really looking forward to playing more MaM.

This demo playthrough lasted about two hours. Oh my goodness, did you really completely remake the whole game? You actually did it! (´･д･`) The added detailed text and side quests, plus the chibi-style scenes, are really adorable. The characters are now even better developed! ദ്ദി˶•̀֊•́)✧By the way, I just realized the protagonist and Alice are siblings? I always thought they were just childhood sweethearts who grew up together (›´ω`‹) (Now that I look, they do resemble each other.) The CG artwork is also visibly crafted with care. I remember the old version had some drawing inconsistencies in the later parts, but the current art makes it hard to imagine any flaws. Also, the character voice acting is absolutely the most genius idea to elevate the gaming experience! The voice actress did an outstanding job, and the gameplay experience skyrocketed!ദ്ദി˶˃ ᵕ ˂ )✧Combined with the carefully designed UI, this remake no longer feels like a mini-RPG but rather a high-quality masterpiece that only a major studio could produce. (˙꒫˙`) Axl, you’re truly amazing for maintaining your creative drive and passion over so many years. The progress made in this remake compared to the old version is just insane. What worries me is, with such a massive scale for this remake, what are the plans for future updates?_(:з」∠)_ No matter what, this remake has been a fantastic response to the year-long wait. Thanks, I was serious about remaking the whole thing, I wasn't satisfied with the old project and making patches to fix it wasn't going to work long term so I decided to start from zero XD I'm glad to see the storyline and artwork are being appreciated, I'll talk more about it on a later post talking about what happened behind scenes. (Also, the progragonist and Alice are just friends, he just tells that to other people for scams) Directing the Voice Actress was hard since I had to make sure she conveyed all the feelings the game needed (not because she isn't talented or anything, but hypnosis is so uncommon for games so almost no one has that much experience with it) I'm glad that you enjoyed the game and thanks you so much for this review, I appreciate it a lot! I'll keep working on the game until the very end... which will take a while becasue this is a BIG project XD

I posted about the bug on the wrong post, I sincerely apologize. But anyway: I’m at the point where Cyrilla is sleeping in the bath and trying to grind stats to deepen control over Alice. But every time I click on “give command” and select a command like “touch her body”, after the ensuing scene the game does not register the mouse when it comes to moving around the map or clicking on objects. Only keys like the arrow keys and Enter still work. This does NOT fix itself when restarting on reloading the save file. Only old saves from before the bug still work. Is that a clear enough description, or do you have more questions?

Progression has been simplified so in this demo you don't have to grind anything. Also I think I have a clue on what's happening but I'll have to check it out

When you first announced that you were gonna go all in on the remake, I kept my breath held, but now after playing it, IT WAS WORTH ALL THAT EFFORT AND PAIN!! I know very well you went through a lot to make this, and I can only barely understand the behind the scenes in getting everything coordinated and coded to make this, and I love the art! The quality absolutely skyrocketed! Seriously, you should be proud of yourself for that. Ironically, it wasn't the UI or the gameplay that made me love this demo, it was Alice and the hints of her character. This demo gave her so much more depth and personality than just being the 'childhood friend' like in the OG version. The voice acting was also a big plus! You made a very good cast choice and many props to the VA for her work! One thing I'm really looking forward to is ironically not the hypno stuff, but the friendship bonding between her and the MC. Sure, hypno stuff is hot, but it's even hotter (and just sweet) when it's between two very close people (TBH, I'm pretty sure Alice would be into it if she knew what was going on, but that's me assuming). Hope we'll see more of her in the friendship bonding section in the future! Anyways that's just me typing without thinking. Nice work Axl, you and your team did good and keep yourself healthy!

I really do like this game—so much that I finally decided to become a sponsor to see your posts (›´ω`‹) Ohh, I see, I must have misunderstood. But they really are as close as siblings, aren’t they (›´ω`‹) So far, the voice direction seems pretty good! Game dubbing has always been such a tricky yet crucial part—it gives everyone a headache. I’ve heard so many funny stories about it, like one where a planner got so frustrated trying to teach a voice actress how to moan properly that they ended up buying her a electric toy to help her get into character ( ‘-ωก ) The hypnosis community has always been this not-too-big, not-too-small niche. Works focusing on hypnosis are pretty rare, and high-quality ones like yours are even rarer. It’s genuinely touching to see someone still putting so much care into polishing their work these days (¦3[▓▓] They just held an awards ceremony in their circle a few days ago—if you’d been a little sooner, I’m sure I would’ve seen you in this year’s “Most Anticipated Game” list ദ്ദി˶˃ ᵕ ˂ )✧ Ever since I started following this game back in 2024, it’s been my most anticipated title. At first, I was just grateful I could easily play a game that took three years to develop… until I ended up waiting over a year myself ✞(¦3[▓▓]✞ Please don’t feel too much pressure though! Regarding the game design, the chibi-style illustrations in the daily life segments are really adorable—please definitely consider adding more in the future storylines (ᕑᗢᓫ∗)˒ Also, is the game homepage planned to change gradually as the game progresses? That would be highly interactive—I can already imagine what it’ll feel like looking at the final homepage by the end of the game (¦3[▓▓] In terms of gameplay, my favorite part is the chip chapter, especially the scene where Alice almost crushes the protagonist. Oh man, buddy, that idea is absolutely brilliant, couldn’t be more brilliant (in every sense)I'm begging you, please bring that scene back(ᕑᗢᓫ∗)˒

Thanks!!! I don't think I can reply to everything here but I am glad to hear you have MaM in such high regard! Where did they have the awards? I've never heard of it :0 I'll continue to add more art, both for title screen and events, chibis are easier to do so I'll keep doing those whenever needed XD Yeah, a good part of the playerbase seems to like the chip scenes, it'll come back on the full release with improved writing + voice acting so please trust me on that!

I'll make a post talking about everything that happened during the making of the remake, because it's been a lot xD Thanks, I like character-focused stories and I think in hypnosis it helps better to see the gap between their normal selves and when they go under; so I'm taking my time to make them feel more like their own persons before hypnotizing them. I plan to focus more on friendship events with the girls but that'd be for the full release. So trust me that I have that on my plans! I'll keep working at it, thanks!

Have a suggestion: the pathfinding when using mouse to click map grids seems not always true, which has made me annoyed in the old version. I hope that it will be fixed in the future!

Hi Axl, I'm new to the project, just saw it a day or two ago, decided to check it out, and the timing was great with the demo coming out. This is really awesome and I am so looking forward to more! The characters are fun, Alice is great to interact with, and the VA did a phenomenal job with her performance. I also really enjoyed how much focus was put on the subject being in trance, so many MC stories seem to not focus on that and skip right by it. Question: After Cyrilla goes to sleep in the tub, and you have the three repeatable scenes with Alice, is that the end of Demo content? Not to say what's here isn't awesome, I just wasn't able to find anything else and want to make sure I'm not missing out on something obvious. No experience with the old game, so I don't know if there are any interactions I missed. So glad to see something like this at such a high quality, you have another subscriber for sure!

Thanks, I like giving characterization to the girls so their trance state feels more real! As for the content, yep, it's up to Alice's BJ and the story events that lead you there; I didn't add any big secret scened or anythign for this demo xD Glad to have your suport, thanks!
