Nitehox Final Monster Design (Patreon)

This is one of those things that I could've sworn I already posted! This is the final drawing that I use as reference for drawing the monster in Nitehox.

Since the monster is meant to be an escapee from a biological lab, I wanted it to read as a weird, beastly hybrid of established creatures from Softies. Most prominently, it borrows it's weird spine from the library guys who I think I called lues on the cast page, and it borrows its green color and weird eye setup from a hardy. It also has Arizona's ears, if ya look.

This is a very rough design compared to what I normally do, because I knew the monster would be largely offscreen and I figured I could let its shape be relatively flexible. The feet, for example, are totally different when they do finally show up.
