Episode 3 Clothing Design (Patreon)

Following up on that last post, here are the sketches I produced for Kay and Arizona's chillier-weather-outfits in Episode 3. 

Kay's letterman jacket is meant to be a more rustic color than her normal blue shirt; to pick out her outline from the blue environment of the episode. It's also makes her palette similar to the pink, brown, green colors of the "Earth stuff" depicted in the background. I also liked the fashion choice of the letterman jacket as something that's "teenager-y" but too old fashioned to be edgy; it's novel enough for Kay to be interested in and "cool" enough to wear.

Arizona's scarf and more serious sweater are meant to hint that he's colder than Kay. I don't know if reptiles would actually retain heat from that kind of insulation, but it's a perception thing. Just in case, I imagine the inside of the coat is lined with warmers like an electric blanket. Also he has another scarf on his tail just because.
