Omg Astarion’s sparkly eyes!! Drow is DONE for 😭

Cosmitastrophe

I don't know what's happening but i agree with Shadowheart

ChaosDragon

Idk if this is when Drow fell in love but that feels like the look of someone who knows Star is up to some shady shit and is *into it*

Azurami

Drow be like "Dw bby gurl, I gottchu"

Liubov Ricci

Astarion is such a little Gollum on the second page in one of the frames that I just howled out loud in the middle of the night😂 Adorable!

BARBATUS

i love gale barreling in completely outta breath lmao excellent background detail

Aishaduh

Love Gale in the background 🤣

Fern with Googley Eyes

Love how they are just dumb fucks from the start. They just level as they go.

funshinebear

I was wondering if anyone else would see this 🤭

Gabriel Lacaille

Holy shit 😂😂 that's great. The close up with that smirk and chin up.

Vic

man du drow was really just... embracing nature straight off of the nautiloid, huh? im not complaining, and i guess neither is astarion (also i spot my wizard husband in the bg thank u <3)

Rask

Absolutely loving this-- especially Astarion's face on pg 3-- and so excited to see the whole dialogue!

Lyssa

Gold! Absolute gold. I already think this my be my favorite of yours.

Litsen

My definition of "love at first sight" (ehehe)

MEANBOSS

Your monthly crumb of Gale!

Frenetic

Shadowheart’s expression has slain me

Tsaristo

The ✨💖✨ is so painfully real…I heard the “woooooow” sound effect in my mind. You’re inspiring me to genuinely get back into drawing digitally!

AloeViera

I’m obsessed with all of your durge/Astarion work- I’m sure you’ve been asked before but I can’t find anything on the topic- do you have screenshots of what your in game durge Tav looks like? I’d love to see the original inspiration and how far he’s come!

MEANBOSS

Thank you so much! I have a "game screenshots" tag on tumblr and it is mostly pictures of his in-game model. Here is the link: tumblr.com/meanbossart/tagged/game%20screenshots

Sindyscribbles

Love it. And laughed at Gale. Two freaks, a match made in uh neither in heaven nor hell.

Jasmine Schmidt

dunno if Drow's face says "I'm going to eat you" "keep you as a pet" or "I clocked yourshit the second you opened your mouth and I'm going to have such fun with you"..maybe all of them

OnlyAncunin

I love this! May I ask about the process? Like - I assume it's like 2nd or 3rd sketch? I wish I was this fluent with drawing comics, each time I do one it's like a complicated delivery interrupted with c-cection, bc it's taking me HOURS

IxiaSith

It's pure sorcery how you invoke such a vivid image with "only" a couple of lines! Perfection.

luka

omfg i need more of their first meeting😭❤️

MEANBOSS

I mean, comics DO take hours, often days, unfortunately it is a lot of work! 😭 These are the second sketches if you don't count specific panels where I decided to change pose/angle from the original rough, then I may take a couple more tries until I settle on what I want. First sketches are usually just to figure out composition and rough out poses or expressions. Thumbnailing, basically!

MEANBOSS

; ) whatever it is, he is intrigued.

fishe bake

Straight up thought the dialog was finished and it was just them looking at each other at first

MEANBOSS

Then he looked at me.......... And I looked at him 👁️👄👁️

Poppy

a healthy dose of Prolonged Eye Contact

OnlyAncunin

Ahh yes... Makes sense. The fact that the struggle (?) doesn't translate into your final works is a testament to the passion that's firing in you. I love your works and I love you. Keep sharing, your Patreon feels like a beacon of humanity 🔦❤

Astarions_Tadpole

I love how you can tell whats happening with no dialogue

Jess

I love Shadowheart’s expression. She’s already fed up. 😂

Lex :3

Ughhh I love this

banditpants

Shadowheart knows there is a fucking disaster on the horizon
